It might be cause you don't have a 3" tip, I know mine sounds nothing like this now cause I had to take the tip off to put my 2" shackles on it. I'm fixing to (hopefully this week) cut my pipe off after the muffler and put a turndown on it, Or weld the tip at the end of the muffler, to hopefully make it used to sound.
@ps3dcp8138 does it sound ricey when you rev to 5500 rpms? I love revving my Jeep that high(just before red line) lol. O and do you still have the catayltic converter?
Well, I don't know what Jeep you are driving, but a Jeep 4.0 red lines at 5000, but I really don't like to have mine that high unless I am under a hard acceleration. Anyway, no, it dose not (I'm not to much into ricein' things) and I'm glad. Yes I still have my Cat on, though I have cut everything after the muffler and put a turndown on it cause when I put a bigger lit on it the tip would not fit and it didn't sound right, I'll made another video of that soon.
@ps3dcp8138 oops I meant 4500 rpms you're right about where it red lines. Thanks for the quick reply. did you sawzall the stock muffler off and just clamp on the muffler or did you have someone weld it?(or did you weld it yourself)
No problem. At the time, i didn't have a welder good enough to mess with to get the job done, so I ended up taking it somewhere to have it done. (though If I get something else anytime, ill weld it myself) The tip in the video though I just sawzalled off the end and clamped it on. When I put the turndown on it though, I sawzalled everything off from the muffler back and welded on a cheap AutoZone turndown style tip, sounds good though.
can u make a video of the exterior of your jeep im thinking about lifting mine and putting the same tires and i want to see what it looks like. thanks
Sure, though it is a bit muddy from me mudding on the 18th at the 4 wheel parts 50th anniversary thing. Also I have gotton rims since this video, so if you have stock rims it is sit a little higher.
Damn! That sounds good! Mine is a '99 and I got a Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow Series w/ 2.25" center in & 2.25" offset out with a 3 1/2" tip. Everything else stock. I want a Super 10 now! I want a deep, throaty sound and that's what a Super 10 does. My 40 just ain't cutting it. It sucks. Much more drone than Super 10. Super 10 sounds like it's all business! I'm gonna try to run dual outlet Super 10. I found a way to route the second pipe but the 10 will have to be closer to the cat.
Alright, when I get a chance, I will. Though it will not sound the same or be as loud cause the Tip is off, I gotta get my pipe after my axle modified cause I added a 2" shackle and my Tip won't fit back on it. But I'll still make the video I might be towards the end of the week before it will be uploaded though.
how aggressive does this thing sound in person with the cat? i have a flowmaster super 44 and plan on getting a 10 series but i dont have a cat like you. my new neighbors already hate me, so if you could just let me know how loud it is, i would appreciate it!
@ps3dcp8138 well, its suppose to be the loudest they have, and i like the aggresive sound that your 10 puts out. the 44 puts out a deep tone, but its just not loud enough for me! thanks for the quick reply though!
It's center in/out. The drone is pretty loud (but sounds good) if you have a 3" tip on it, I just recently took the tip off cause I installed a 2" shackle in the back and the tip was in the way, so it's more quiet now, but I plan on modding is so I can put the tip back on it. Thanks!!
Yeah, if you just wanted to use some exhaust clamps, that would work. I was just ganna use clamps, but since it was only, like, 50 bucks to get it welded. So I just did that.
Thanks! Nope, other than a K&N air filter, (K&N filter is just the stock size rectangle one that goes in the air box) It's a stock 4.0 with the stock cat, though later on I play to put a highflow cat on it.
It's pretty loud in the cab. At the lower RPM's, like, under 3,500 it sounds really good, and loud. the higher RPM's though you cannot really hear it, but it's better than stock at high RPM's. though any muffler you get, the higher RPM's are not really where you can hear.
that sounds really good

i have a tip too. did yours kill your gas mileage too?
snowmobiler56 8 months ago
@snowmobiler56
No, my 3" lift with the 31" General Grabbers killed my gas mileage. With the Super 10, I think I actually gained gas mileage.

Question. Is this Center in, offset out, 2.25"? if so, where did you find it?!

U should make a video from inside when u accelerate and at highway speed.

@ps3dcp8138 is it loud in the cab when our at highway speed, our just when or accelerating?
hybridredneck2010 9 months ago
@hybridredneck2010
Yeah, at speed you can hear it pretty good in the cab, but depending on how loud you listen to music, you won't hear it too bad.

How did you get it to fit? Factory pipe is 2.25 and the muffler is 2.5" right. I have the super 40 on my xj and im tired of the same old sound.
