  • you always look so polished

  • do you smoke?

  • @tarayaso no

  • OH MY GOODNESS@! I've never seen you with your hair down or not pulled back! You should leave it down more often :-)

  • I wish they would make a better color selection, some nice nude colors.

  • @anya97303 Me too :-( I tried to white to use like a paint pot but its too stark white and too sparkly. I would kill for a light matte pink or a vanilla matte.

  • i have exactly the same colors like you do Lisa, I love them all!

  • It surprises me how tough as taupe is such a favorite. I like it the least of the colors. All of them have worked amazing except that one. I have to layer it like crazy to get any color. Maybe I got a bad one lol

  • Hi! Love your review on the 24 hour eye tattoos. I love them too, but mine did crease after about 12 hours so I have to wear a primer under them, like you suggested. Still gonna purchase them all though. They are that great.

  • can you do a video about the best everything for oily skin? please please please:)

  • @thereselovesmakeup13 I do have a video posted on this- I have one for foundations. Right now my skin is dry/normal so I am not using those products.

  • I have pomegranate punk and it doesnt stay on for longer than 3 hours at most. any idea why?

  • @fashionjunkie52 have you tried using a primer under it first?

  • Thank you for this review. I was wondering if theres were comparable to mac paint pot, and if i should use it as soo with a shadow over it. I am excited to try them out now

  • Man, I wish I knew the trick for these to work correctly. I have the Taupe color, and have applied it on its own lightly and heavily and it both fades and creases.. I have tried with powder shadow overtop, still not good. I should have kept the receipt cause I would have returned it. I would tr with primer but it seems to get enough on I have to pull and tug at my eye to blend it and that's not good. Can you tell how you apply yours? Thanks so much.

  • @melrose795 I apply mine over a primer and then I apply with a fluffy brush! Good Luck I hope it works out of ryou

  • have you ever tried the giorgio armani luminous silk powder? i would love a review on that :)

  • @anneh08 no i haven't tried it yet sorry

  • I love these but its sad that maybelline test on poor animals

  • luv ur hair! <3

  • I've only tried the taupe color, but I LOVE it! My local wal-mart has these for under $6, so definitely picking up more lol

  • Hi Lisa, I have been watching your videos for a while now and I finally decided to subscribe. I love your honest and I mean honest reviews and that is one of the reasons I subscribed. I haven't picked up any of the Maybelline Tattoo colors as of yet but I'm sure I will. Great review

  • PLEASE LOOK AT MY CHANNEL!!!! :DDD

  • I found the Tough as Toupe to be too gray on my eyes so I have been wearing it with Wet n Wild's "Nutty" over it and it looks really nice!!!!

  • Fully agree with you! Love these!

  • thanks lisa!!

  • Great vid i purchased 9 of the 10 colors.i luv them all the only color i didnt get was bold gold because i have a few mac gold paintpots but other than that i luv luv them

  • I found tough as taupe and I love it too! Works well for me :D

  • so, do they crease (whit primer from two faced ore urban decay)?? whit out eyeshadow over them?

  • @loes1996 they do not on me but they do on some people. You can use any primer you want under if you need it

  • I haven't seen the lightest color in person but I wonder if it's really similar to Mac's Bare study? Humm

  • @Karlykakes1010 I think the white is the only light color- hopefully they will come out with more

  • I wish MAC paint pots are around 12 or 14 dollars :(

  • Great review! Your skin looks great .

  • Hi Lisa, I always wanted a Chanel Quad and then you made your review....So today I got the Eclosion and I'm so so happy!!!Without your video I would have missed it!Xxxx Anna

  • I so want to get my hands on these, but as usual we don't have them on sale in the UK we are always left behind :(

  • They are on sale at my Rite Aid in Washington State........ Buy one, get one 50% off!

  • You look very pretty today! I really do want to try these. Thanks for the review.

  • awesome review, thanks!

  • You are so gorgeous in this video! Love the hair and makeup - I think pregnancy really agrees with you ;)

  • @teebabyxo15 tough as taupe creases really badly on me too! Have you tried using a primer underneath?

  • @Themellylynn I haven't, I'll have to try using a primer with it...thank you!

  • Thanks so much for this review! I've been wanting to try these, but am ALWAYS hesitant trying new "cream" style shadows or liners cuz they're either too hard to blend or don't have color payoff. I'm definately going to pick some of these up though!

  • These r amazing! I have all the colors and the only one I've had a problem with creasing is the purple one. These r more similar to MUFE aqua creams to me because of the staying power.

  • Thanks for the info Lisa I'm going to use my 20% off coupon at Ulta's this weekend and was thinking about buying this but I know I am now... Thanks again!!

  • I own the bad to bronze & the taupe there absolutely awesome ; in going for the too cool a really nice white pigment color

  • PLEASE PLEASE LOOK AT MY CHANNEL!!! :DDD

  • Love this product!!!

  • I recieved the teal one as a gift and I love the colour but really REALLY unsure how to use it because it's such a strong colour...any ideas? lol

  • @pervolarsunata you could use it as the lash line for just a pop of color

  • Your reviews are always so helpful. I didn't want to get any of these but I really want the Tough as Taupe but may have to add the bronze as well. Do you have Benefit's Skinny Jeans and if so how does it compare to the something? asphalt you mentioned. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these. :)

  • @PrissyandPink I do not own benefit skinny jeans- sorry

  • I saw them at 5.99$ at Target today.

  • i am super loving bad to the bronze this eye shadow stays on forever....

  • And MAC paint pots are more like $18 now!

  • I have the tough as taupe one and for some reason it always creases on me, I don't know if it's because of my application or what, but I've tried it with my fingers and with a brush and the color just slides up into my crease half way into my work day :/ i wanted to like it but I can't seem to get it to work for me...any suggestions?

  • @teebabyxo15 have you tried putting a primer on first?

  • @Lisasz09 No i haven't, I didn't think I needed one but, I'll definitely try it again with a primer...Thank you!

  • I picked up the gold first too, and now i own them all ;x

  • Bad to the bronze is a dupe for Estee Lauder's stay in place cream shadow in Cafe au Lait.

  • Love them! Finally a great drugstore eye base/primer/shadow!did a review on my blog skinPOREfection.blogspot.com good vid!

  • Yeah i was pretty sure the orange was a matte colour as well. Anyway I'm getting the orange cause it's gorgeous! I'm also planning on getting that Chanel eclosion quad. Eeee (:

  • Try the Loreal infallible cream shadows...I LOVE THEM! Thought I loved these until I found those, their amazing!!! xo :)

  • Taupe is not the only mat color.....the orange is mat as well.

  • Lisa could you please do a tutorial on the tough as taupe, having a hard time blending with my finger? I'm not very good with this texture... It would be greatly appreciated, hope you and baby are doing well..

  • @teresalynn523 i usually apply it with a brush- a fluffy one

  • Great review on these, Lisa! I have a couple of the L'Oreal Infallible shadows but haven't bought any of these yet. Beautiful colors that you chose! :+) Vickie

  • Wish they would release these in Australia.

  • Bad to the Bronze is a dupe for Make Up For Ever #15 Aqua Cream.

  • Hi Lisa

    Great Video,

I wish the color selection would be larger. Instead of white I wish they would of produced an off white or Ivory. I may try the Bronze shade. How did you apply these shadows??

    Thx

  • @sxyblndeflirt I apply them w a fluffy synthetic brush

  • You're absolutely gorgeous today!!!! Loving your top and your curly hair ;) thanks for the honest review, can't wait to try one of these!! :)

  • WOW! You look great today. LOVE the eye makeup! What did you do??!

  • @dbanelles I am not sure but I have the products I used listed in the down bar! :o) I hope that helps

  • @Smileshan1000. You can wear tough as taupe by its self. I have in fact. I also use it.as.a base but keep it focused on the outer half of my eye for a nice smokey look. Its gorgeous

  • I have really dry skin but I must have oily lids cause they crease for me bad! So does Mac.

  • I love my eye tattoos!! Go glad they came out. I'm going.back to buy all the rest!

  • Thank you thank you thank you for this video. I had purchased Tough as Taupe and wasn't quite sure how to wear it as I didn't care for it alone (too flat). Didn't even think of putting a bronze shadow over it. That's why I love watching you...you always give the greatest advise on products, try them out and you are soooo honest with your feedback. I also love that you follow up with products and let us know how they are working. You rock...big time!!!!!!!!!

  • Purchased the white, gold and the bronze ones, and am so impressed. Actually like the texture and finish better than my MAC paint pots....can't beat the price when it is buy one get 50% off 2nd... great review..:)

  • are they waterproof?

  • @jola3401 no

  • Wait, paint pots are only $12-$14 where you live?? they're $22 for me :(

  • your eye makeup looks gorgeous today!! :)

  • they creased for me. :( But I have really, really oily lids.

  • MICHAEL TODD DUPE! from the swatch you showed, estee lauder antique gold stay in place creme shadow looks like a spot on dupe :D

  • I love how you did your makeup look today. So beautiful, love the eyeliner :)

  • Pomegrante punk is a beautiful brownish burgundy color, I think you would enjoy it! It looks great in the crease with tough as taupe on the lid.

  • I came on Youtube to ask you your thoughts on these color tattoos and voila...there it was first thing on my subscription list. It's like you read my mind :D

  • Your hair and makeup looks so gorgeous!!!

  • Hi Lisa

Can you please visit my channel and subscribe cause I subscribed to you. I luv ur vids. Please take the time to watch mine.

    Can you

Please reply cause its a pleasure hearing from u

    Ella Haliday

  • You look beautiful :)

  • Thanx for the review. Look fwd to buying these...whenever we'll get then here in the UK that is!

  • I have several of these and love them!!! Surprisingly, I love the orange one. Fierce and Tangy. I use it on my lid as a base and then put a peachy color over it. These shadows are great. Wish they had some more matte and nuetral colors.

  • Lisa, would you wear the Tough as Taupe on its own or just as a base with another shadow over it?

    Shannon : )

  • @smileshan1000 I would not because it pulls kind of grey on me but I would with the other colors.

  • @rahrahritta, ive used them as a eyeliner on the waterline and on the lashline. It stays great without powder. Im sure you can still use powder. I was just experimenting without first. I was surprised how well it stayed, I hope the make a matte black just so I can use it for eyeliner (btw, stayed better than the gel liner)

  • How does the audacious asphalt compare to benefit's skinny jeans? Are they similar in color at all?

  • @IrishFlyingSquirrel I don't own the benefit sorry

  • have the bronze & taupe & love em

  • Have you tried the illegal lengths maybelline mascara before?:)

  • @widdleweindeer1st no i havent- sorry

  • The orange is matte too if u have seen that one yet, hard to pull off for me anyways!:) love the taupe & bronze too will have to check out getting a few more!!:))

  • are they pigmented enough/stay long enough to use as an eyeliner?

i'm thinking of getting one of the bright colors and using it as an eyeliner because i love colored liners but good ones are just so hard to find!

  • @rahrahritaa I am not sure how they would work as a liner- I think your would still need a powder over them.

  • @rahrahritaa I use the bright blue one as eyeliner! You just kinda have to pack it on.

  • @rahrahritaa I've used them on my lower lash line as a liner & it worked great.

  • I have two so far :) love them

  • I have 5 of them, the four you show, and the purple one! They are great!!!!

  • Tough As Taupe is so great! It's really versatile; works well with a wide range of shadows for different effects!

  • Now I want to get them even more, thanks!

  • people are saying they dry faster then the mac point pot...they get harder to blend ...whats ur opinion on thhat

  • @XFNNX1354 I think they dry and are about the same for blending.

  • Mac paint pots are $17.50. Lolol :D

  • Mac paint pots are $17.50. Lololol :D

  • @darya155, ur definitely right about the color being different once you stick ur finger in it. I love the product though. Hopefully they some out with more matte shades.

  • I have seen everyones great reviews on these and i still wasnt convinced but since you give them your stamp of approval now i can justify buying them haha!

  • looking forward to these coming out in the UK (eventually.........)

    thanks for review x

  • Lisa do u know when Chanel solely tan de chanel will be back in stock?

  • @mkcjja usually in summer/spring time. yoiu can call the nordstroms 800# and they will call stores and have it shipped to you. I did that last year!

  • @mkcjja I got one online from Nordstroms last week.

  • Only other con: I think they fade throughout the day just a bit. The bronze color loses its sheen.

  • Also, I found they appear much warmer in the pot and when you stick your finger on it, they lose that warm tone and are actually more neutral/cool underneath. That is what was so misleading with the toupe one--it appears to be a brownish color, then when you take that first layer off, it's grey! Same thing with Bad to the Bronze I found.

  • I got Bad to the Bronze, loved it so much that I went and got Tough as Toupe. Was quite disappointed in that one because it did turn such a grey color on me as well. What I do now is place the toupe one under the bronze, closer to the lashes, and it makes the bronzey color more cool and toupey looking. Love the effect! I layer shadows over them too. :) Works great!

  • Tough as taupe pulls very gray on me' but its still a gorgeous color. A medium warm brown shadow looks very pretty over it too, really comes alive. Macs patina looks pretty over bad to the bronze.

  • Hi.plz do the tutorial on the revlon lip butter and loreal infailable cream (powder) eye color.Bcuse i want to buy this but these r 8.99$ so expensive.

  • @narutocartoon12 I returned the lip butter because I didn't like them (I talked about that in the haul when I purchased them) and I have not seen the loreal cream eye colors yet but if I pick them up I will be sure to review them

  • I feel they are more a dupe of the Benefit Creasless Cream Eyeshadow / Liner than the MAC Paintpots. I need to use a primer underneath, otherwise they crease a bit. Anyway I really like them.

  • Lisa: thank u so much for all your work reviewing all the products for us, you are one of my favorite persons in you tube. Hope that everything is going great with the pregnancy. Tons of love going your way!

  • I have bold gold, tough as taupe, and bad to the bronze. I love them! My only complaint is that there aren't enough neutrals. There are a lot of gorgeous bright colors, but I don't wear bright orange in my eyes. I would love if they could expand to include a champagne and a couple of mid tone browns.

  • I've been waiting for this review from you! Thank you so much!!! I love your reviews Lisa :)

  • I have the taupe one & Bad to the Bronze - love, love, love them! No creasing. I'm very fair with deep set eyes & have to stay away from deep colors on my lids. The taupe one, even though it looks a little dark in the pot, is perfect for me. Just soft & beautiful & then I use a soft Laura Mercier grey powder shadow above the crease area - really pretty. So glad Maybelline introduced these! Becky

  • Tempting! So far I haven't picked it up.

  • I bought a few of these colors and LOVE them! If they made a matte black, I would implode..

  • These are pretty awesome. I've got a few but lately for a quick eye fix I've been mixing the bronze with the pomegranate and it just turns to this gorgeous deep choco/berry color. Love em all! :)

  • Love Love Love my bronze one. They have a maroon one it looks very similar to Chanel's cream eyeshadow gonna get it today.

  • there is actually this orange that is matte aswell :D

  • hello world

  • I have the taupe and asphault, and they CREASE ON ME! Why am I the only one? I have the Michael Todd primer, and I have used them with and without the primer. RRRGGHH.

  • I TRIED IT AND TEST IT OUT AND ITS TRUE AND WHAT IT SAYS. LOVE THEM

  • ur makeup looks really pretty :)

  • Oh my goodness... I LOVE your hair in this video!! Don't believe I've ever seen a hair tutorial from you - but would you consider it? Your hair was sooo pretty in this and your last video~

  • @soleseoulsoul I think this is one i do have a tutorial on- it is a wavy hair one! :o) ENjoy!

  • BTW, your wedding ring is gorgeous!

  • I just noticed these in the drugstore today. Glad to come home and see a review from you. I'm going to have to check these out. I have oily skin and lids.
