  • that was before 9 11

  • rip twin tower

  • I just watched 'Man on Wire' last night on T.V., and decided to do a bit of research on this man and his amazing feats - especially about his walk between the Twin Towers. Thanks for this video - it's great. I want to buy a copy of this book, if I can.

  • aw cmon! Read the whole thing.... GREAT book though, my teacher used to read it to my class in second grade...

  • you spelled his name wrong. it's "philippe petit."

  • Thank you for this video and I hope you keep it on Youtube for a long time. This book is hard to find around this time of year and I have used the video to show my classroom in place of the book. Thanks!

  • Thank you for this kind comment. I'm happy to know that it provides some information and entertainment for children and teachers. I hope you were able to find and play part 2. I actually met Philip Petit and watched him perform. Then I got him to autograph my copy of the book. Thanks again and please check out some of BrooklynBlowback's other short videos.

  • Thank you so much for this. I have watched the movie over & over, I cry every time. My little boy has enjoyed this video. Again thank you again.

  • Wow, is there a book, other then the one that Philippe wrote himself? Nice! Where can I buy this? What's the writer and title?

  • Hi Daphuhnuh: Thanks for your interest. This book is titled "The Man Who Walked Between the Towers" and was written and illustrated by Mordicai Gerstein and it is recommended for children ages 4-8. It was winner of the 2004 Caldecott Award so I would think your local library would have a copy of it. If so, tell them you saw it on "BrooklynBlowback!"

  • @brooklynblowback it does seem That petit has quite a few Hebrew friends, Could thid be the reason he refuses to talk about his walk? the more I think about it the more implausibible it seems. carrying 200 kg of steel to the top and then firing an arrow across? this despite the more than 60 metre gap and the fact that the North tower is 2 meters higher than the south. why no video? Too tired?

  • @thisisyourwakeup reacting on old vids shows how retarded you are.

  • Nice one dude ive never seen this book!

  • umm... can this guy not see that the title is right in front of him and he is reading it wrong? c'mon dude...really?

  • Dear ColiePokie-- it's an ADAPTATION. We changed the title for copyright reasons.

  • It's an adaptation, so for legal reasons we changed the title, Genius.

  • i love this picture book, when i was in secound grade my teacher read it to us

  • I love this book. It is so sad what this reader does to this lovely book. From the outset, he can't get the title right. Buy this book and read it for yourself. Don't watch this loser.

  • Hi Carina: Thanks for yr insightful comment. You must be very smart since you can read by yourself.

  • incredible !!

    Crazy french !!!

  • what a nice story teller :)

  • ...great story, made boring! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Hi MJD775-- I'm glad that this bedtime story made you sleepy.

  • hi folks,

what's the title of this beautiful book and where can i buy it?

    loveandpeace:)

  • The title is "The Man Who Walked Between the Towers" by Mordicai Gerstein.

  • thank god thos two jets didn't accidently fly into the towers then, that poor guy would have been killed up there with the blast, at least it happened 10 years later, he is very lucky!

  • Phillipe Petit is still alive. I saw him doing an interview on Australian television 3 days ago. He truly is an amazing and brave man for walking between the Twin Towers!

  • I've seen 5 vids so far about Petit- mainly trailers for 'man on a wire'... hadn't found out whether he lived or not yet and sat through this assuming I would get satisfaction. I did not.

Asuming he did make it otherwise producing a film about the bloke who died walking between towers in which thousands died wouldn't be so inspiring...

  • i think he is liveing i atleast think....

  • he is living.

  • Yes, he's alive and living in upstate NY.

  • what a load of pathetic dribble.

  • ??????????????

  • hes philippe petit not philip

  • WTF?!?!

  • what the f..k is this?why would you make a video of you reading a book?why do you people insist on filling the internet with so much bulls..t. F..king gonzo

  • Dear Mr. F---Off: Have you ever considered the importance of sharing stories with people who are blind or can't read? Go back to sleep and maybe when you awaken you'll understand that some things you don't like might be appreciated by others.

  • You didn't finish it? Can you please finish the book?

  • I don't care if you can spell. Thanks for reading it. Maybe someone will learn something.

  • omg thank u for reading my book report for me

  • huh???
