  • some of her b sides are great - "nature is ancient" could have easily been on homogenic actually, I think it would make it an even better record

  • no one can dislike this song

  • BJÖRK IS ANCIENT !!!

  • Phenomenal video.

    Bjork is genius

  • This video could have better quality I think.

  • Isn't there a good quality upload anywhere? It surely must exist. D:

  • This song is too amazing.

  • Eres el amor de mi vida Björk, te amo.

  • awful quality! what a pity.

  • she should have inlcuded more tracks on 'Homogenic' "Sod Off" "So Broken" and this song should have made it on the album

  • @asongforxx456 nah. that album is perfect the way it is, in my opinion.

  • it makes me daydream, and drift off to a world i always forget about when i wake up.

  • I'll never forget that night. Driving in the dark around Christmas, listening to this song with lightning in the sky. It was out of this world. Even with all the other musicians I love intensely, she occupies a special place.

  • Some deep groove goin' on here. Miles Davis would approve. I think this video has a better audio track on the DVD....

  • Some deep groove goin' on here. Miles Davis would approve.

  • what a great beats!

  • @EuTuboSim2010 I Agree.

  • @EuTuboSim2010 It gets stuck in my head :D

  • I love her!!

  • amzing voice

  • Bjork is the BEST!!! This video is the shit also...=)

  • just one of my favs. been dreamin abnout blimps lately...

  • She is so connected with the cosmic void. If you get her you know what I'm talking about. Bjork speaks for us all.

  • Listening to björk its like listening to the earth ♥

  • @ kapplejacks22: if you try to understand it lyrically, it is hard to get.

4 me, she kind of like Tori Amos, the music is more important than the words.

and her background, living in iceland, makes her perspective different, than say living in America.

  • I LOVE NATURE! ♥

    and Bjork ♥

    and everything ♥

  • i love humans that are products of cnidarians, as i am a self proclaimed piedpiper of such...

  • this reminds me of a time i cut down a tree :D

  • I am mostly a Classic Rock/Grunge fan.....but when I first heard this woman sing at a festival in '93 I got hooked.....so chill.....so unique.....love BJORK!!!!

  • You've got to be some sort of vaguely complacent automaton in a zoloft fog to be unmoved by music like this. Subhumans need not apply.

  • to weird to be hated.. she is a good prototype hehehe... very rare.

  • Bjork makes me happy. She will be remembered by humanity for a LONG time to come...

  • love the weirdness !

  • I love her

  • Not many people get her, but the ones who can understand and appreciate have tapped into something really special and unique...

  • @dazeity I totally agree.

  • Comment removed

  • It's amazing to me how many people rate bjork as a sex object.... or negate her as a woman, because they feel she is a "weirdo". She comes from another culture and has different ways of expressing herself than pop culture Americana. She is an artist, not a singer of catchy pop tunes or jazz standards. Think! Listen to the lyrics, open your heart and your mind...and realise that she is an incredibly innovative and creative woman... totally unique and brilliant.

  • @kapplejacks22 you can't place her in a list or category of any sort, this woman stands on her own and those who "get her" stick with her

  • @brianlilith I never said that she needed to be placed in a box...in fact I'm a singer and I don't like the concept of being "placed in a box." However I do think that as an artist u want people to understand and relate to u...Bjork's work is chaotic...it's as though she is making up anything without any sense of order and packaging it...and u guys are like "oh thats awesome." WHAT???? U can't just make up any stupid ole incoherent song and expect people to like it...lol...come on people.

  • @kapplejacks22 There is meaning in her songs, she has a beautiful voice full of emotion and a lot of people CAN relate to her music and are inspired by her. Maybe you just don't get her, but, hey, don't watch it!

  • @kapplejacks22 bjork writes her songs based on her own personal vision and it's up to us to decide if we like them or not. a lot of people relate, not as much compared to what's so-called normal (alicia keys as you mention). that's because any music you can't dance to and is without handclaps and a loud kick and auto-tuned instruments isn't marketable to a population of increasingly delusional consuming blobs, most of whom are musically illiterate. why bend over for them? bjork is groundbreaking

  • @brianlilith An Icelandic cross between Kate Bush, Enya, and Yoko Ono.

  • @brianlilith I am curious. I see that you listed the directing trio, so you obviously are a big fan. My question is do you know that the 2 beings represented are intended to be Adam and Eve? Or is that your own interpretation? I don't know alot about her personally, but in another post for the song Wanderlust, a poster indicated that she had interest in more Eastern religion- like Buddhism or something. Any ideas?

  • @brianlilith So you like Bjork just because she's Unique...?

  • @kapplejacks22 I think you should post this comment to a Lady Gaga video , not Bjork .

  • @MariaSanFails I don't like Lady Gaga either...she overdoes it and trys to hard...and her stuff is not original...she's a madonna wannabe.

  • @kapplejacks22 I'm sorry but neither Muse nor Alicia Keys would be considered to most as weird... maybe Muse's old stuff barely

  • @kapplejacks22 Well, I like all those people including Bjork!

  • @kapplejacks22 thats not a very wide variety

  • @kapplejacks22 nina simone is the only good artist you listed. muse wants to be like queen and it goes without saying that alicia keys is total garbage

  • @brunnhild23 I guess you have a point with Alicia Keys because she sucks now...but when she first came out she was somewhat unique compared to the other R&B artists out there.

  • BJORKS a genuis just like BOWIE, TRICKY, SAUL WILLIAMS, APHEX TWIN, and newcomers SCROOBIUS PIP, ALLFLAWS

  • @cruzeirobrasil19 OK, if you insist.

*goes to have sex with Bjork*

  • @chromesthesia If you seen her what she looks like now you wouldn't.

  • @dilcofilms She's talented. Talent makes people sexier.

  • Impresionante. La rompió.

  • beat is made by electro pioneer, avant garde electronica producer MARK BELL

  • Adam and Eve are nothing but Judeo-Christian mythology characters.

  • I really love bjork, but the baby at the end of the clip is a bit corny...

  • what is this about her dying?!!... she is not ill is she? i cant bear to think she is so lovely and her music is truly amazing both in lyrics and sound.

  • DUH NOOOO

  • Oh my god! This vid is amazing, and the song....... indescrtiptible!!! I dont wanna Björk to die.....!!!!!! =(

  • @Albagari wot do u mean die?!!!......

  • I dunno......i mean, I ment that i dont wanna bjork to die, to be dead......

  • ok as long as she is not dying. thanx

  • Bjork has a class all her own.I listen to pretty much everything with few exclutions, but i have to say that her`s is one of the most unique, both beautiful and stunning, deep and primal....speaks to the very core of us all.....I love her music!!!!!!!!

  • Whoo!!! Sounds really marvelous. She is so special, I don't know what will happen to the music if Bjork dies. She is a little light in the dark of music.

  • @larmgreen

She will come back in the next life! :) but... I think Bjork is deathless so don't worry :D

  • Yea, you're right. I never heard anything like Bjork before. I dont know what to think. I can't decide this is a disaster or if it's tremendous. It's out of the bounds.

  • what?!!! Its tremendous. I listen to all kinds of music, from the most pop to the most alternative. Bjork is so special to me, because she is the most real, it's music at its purest. It is so honest, her singing so raw, and lyrically deep. Really, in the future she will regarded as someone that changed music. The biggest artists pop, alternative like Bjork, from Coldplay, Chistina Aguilera, Timbaland!. If you REALLY like music there is no way you wont like Bjork, because she is honest music

  • @dehountinge '

the only artists on par are Radiohead :)

  • There's an innocence, a genuine joy and love for creativity and wonder in her music. She is tremendous, yes. Brave, bold and beautiful

  • Perfect description of her XD

  • all of bjorks videos are crazy! but there so visually captivating a can't take my eyes away! i don't even know what to think right now. her voice the music the videi is outta this world!

  • crazy could be good sometimes lol

  • MarkMargo, this music is one of better Trip Hop!! ;P

  • No one sings like Bjork sings. Her voice is a musical instrument all on it's own.

  • björk ..

  • bitte nicht zu geil!!!!!!!!

  • like her songs.. her voice on this vid makes me remember kerli koiv :D

  • bjork is the best

  • so weird. but somehow i like it

  • Hello to all, my name is Ezequiel, and although this is the first time that I see east musical video, and although at the beginning of the video it seems an aquatic world; I pense that this video represented the birth. And luckily I have to him right. YUUUPIIIIII. Hola a todos, mi nombre es Ezequiel, y aunque esta es la primera vez que veo este video musical, y aunque al principio del video parece un mundo acuatico; Yo pense que este video representaba el nacimiento Y por suerte le he acertado

  • WoW *-°

  • Around 3:38 is that Bjork's face in the bottom right-hand corner for about 2 seconds, or am I just seeing things?

  • Lovely.. thank you for sharing

  • no problem:)

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • This song was originally called "my Snare" i found it on my copy of the Bachelorette single! dont know why it was called "My Snare" but still a really good song! Doesn't sound like it should be from the 'homogenic' era still very good b-side!

  • its like she goes into a recording studio and say fuck it ill say what i want

  • I love this song!!!!

  • love it so much

  • bjork sung on top of the LFOs tune, i would like to have it also in instrumental version

  • Thats good

I believe who i am too

  • Thanks harpo, whats leiscerbette? =D

  • That's an interesting point of view, i dunno what to say harpo, but thanks for telling me =)

  • Hmmm

  • First I thought that this was "Oceania" clip, becouse of this jellyfish-look like things o.o, amazing : D

  • BJORK is the most unique ARTIST in EARTH ... just like our PLANET.HOT like SUN !

Honest like kid ! And smart like ancient philosopher...GREAT MUCICIAN !

  • Can someone tell me what "sneaks up from behind" means?

    Thanks a lot!

  • I take it to mean that primal, pre-civilized part of us that's always there: beastial nature, reptilian self, things like that. A part of us that we can't out-run, out-organize, or out-law. Our savage needs that we try to act as if weren't there, but always comes out when we're not holding it back.

  • thanks a lot bilpdx!!! =)

  • cool!

  • it's true.

the part about furries i didn't bother reading the rest

  • wow,it´s a great vid

  • I love her

  • What a groove. and she brought the best talent in the world together in her projects...

    badoompada oom oom weoom.

  • great song...the video was sperm impregnating egg right?....love the vibe nonetheless

  • Björk's music is so inspiring

  • Lynn Fox, you are a visual genius. I almost had no idea what was happening during the video, but I loved every second of it (I loosely gathered the general idea though). Not to mention, anything Bjork does is automatically artistic gold. Wonderful stuff.

  • To ALL Björk fans!! Please vote for her video "All Is Full Of Love" for The UK MTV Awards

  • I think Bjork must be a faerie who came up from underground to be our muse.

  • This video is just......ridiculous. In a very good way. I love this song <3.

  • She is stunning, she always surprise us with her outfits and her original videos. A artist of world rank.

  • I love the nature, I love Björk!

  • bjork es demasiado sicologica,..casi la puedo sentir como un estado de mi ser...lo experimental, tan primitiva como refinada...definitivamente no deja de sorprenderme.

  • love her music, don't like most of her clips. It's to big pressure in being peculiar. But... Bjork is Bjork. I'm forgiving

  • She is unique!

  • really her lyrics and voice are fine it's just the music should be different...

  • Either you have the badass music groove gene or you don't. I was going to recommend Miles Davis's Live Evil, but now.......

  • yea but seahorse males give birth..

    and Earthworms are both genders

    LOL

  • Is this song on any bjork album? i havnt herd it b4 it sounds class!!!

  • it's on family tree

  • O rite thanx, nevr knew it existed!!

  • However, it looks as water in the infinite space being fertilized by something very magical, as the begining, I suposse.Very nice video. Oh, something else! In spanish the word Nature is femenine. You say "La Naturaleza", not "El Naturaleza", in english you can't see the difference because the article is neutral but "La" means femenine. Maybe could be a conection with the "feminity" of this awesome phenomenon of life. :)

  • Where do you see Eve and Adam and all of that? You're missing a big part of the history of a lot of cultures if you only see Adam and Eve in all the representations of "the creation".

  • Interesting that creation should be interpreted that way (a very male-centered way) since when an egg is "fertilized" what actually happens is the egg pulls in the specific sperm it wants and actively pulls it in, instead of the sperm "invading" the supposedly passive egg. Anyway, awesome song and video. I love Bjork :)

  • but its not supose to be MAN,its nature

  • I know, but we as humans, in our male-dominated culture, interpret and read nature through our lenses. In this case, we ascribe traditionally masculine characteristics to the sperm (which comes from males, typically) and feminine characteristics to the egg (which females carry), and we assume that the egg is thus a "passive receptacle" and the sperm is an "active invader." These concepts are made up by our culture. That was my point. The interpretation/reading of nature being male-centered.

  • your right,my point is that Bjork isnt a typicle person in the male-dominated society, thats why this video doesnt represent that sort of thing.

  • Ahh, sorry I confused you. I was not saying Bjork holds this perspective. I was originally writing in response to the way the summary for the music video was written at the top right under "brianlillith"s name:

"The promotion portrays the reproduction of life with the Adam character navigating the black abyss to impregnate Eve, culminating in the growth of a human foetus inside Eve. The whole scene is like looking through a microscope at life as it forms."

    Sorry for the confusion! :P

  • And you're right I love how Bjork looks at all of the intricate and layered aspects of nature, sensuality, etc. Her songs, lyrics, and videos (including this one) are very female, in my opinion. That's one of the reasons I love them ;)

  • Unfortnatley it is perceived as males to be dominant, which is a bunch of shit, women give birth to life, women are god, creation. This piece from bjork is universal NOT dominant as you poorly attempted to point out.

  • Huh? I think you misunderstood my comment. Did you read all of my comments? I was AGREEING that Bjork rightfully highlights birth and creation as woman-owned. I was disagreeing with brianlilith's commentary on the video, which I thought was sexist bullshit. Here is brianlilith's commentary that I disagree with:

"The promotion portrays the reproduction of life with the Adam character navigating the black abyss to impregnate Eve, culminating in the growth of a human foetus inside Eve."

  • rock on, rychousmama. I'm glad to see that there are people out there who know about the egg's pull force, etc, and are actively debunking the "Sperm Charming" myth.

  • Thanks. Nice to know there's someone else out there that gets it. :)

  • this song is great! how could i have missed this :( love it !

  • this song is great! how could i have missed this :( love it !

  • Where is this song from? It's not on any of her albums. Is it a b-side?

  • It's explained in the description on the right side.

  • Yes but "volumen" which was a compilation of songs from Bjork's career, so surely it must have come from somewhere else before this. Oh, well I suppose I could be wrong

  • It's a B-side from the Homogenic Period. It's title back then was My Snare, and it's featured on the CD singles for Bachelorette, if I am not mistaken.
