243 Asylum seekers were transferred to other EU states after being caught 'asylum shopping' where they looked for refugee status in 2 or more countries.
40 failed asylum seekers were deported last night, a further 202 opted for help in returning home voluntarily rather than being removed.

3 men will be sentenced in Romania for trafficking Romanians into Ireland for labour exploitation.

If we could have gone the way Norway did through NAFTA, we would still have a great fisheries sector, and preserve the agricultural sector. Granted keeping us out of WWII was highpoint of his career, but Dev's Ireland was a poverty rural priest ridden backwater, where women were second class citizens. Only when he lost power did Ireland begin to modernise. Good riddance.

Very touching and so very true. As big as this country of the United States is we are faced with ruthless leaders who want us to bow down to the socialist government they are trying to force down our throats, Though I sincerely doubt that the people will let that happen without a rebuttal. I will pray for all countries that are facing the threat of a Thrid Word Order. So sad, so sad, But I do think that God knows what is going on to his children of the world. God bless and thank you.

I was in Iceland 6 & 5 years ago. Both times the people there swore to me that they would NEVER join the EU.
Now they probably will.
The Irish economy is on its knees because the scum of Fianna Fáil insisted that Ireland adopt the Euro.
You cannot de-value your currency to stimulate exports if it is NOT your currency to de-value in the first place.

1916 patriots executed in their own country fighting for freedom and sovereignty.
1921 after a bitter struggle freedom for the most part (not all) of Ireland was won.
2009 Irish politicians who's only concern is to line their own pockets bend over backwards to give away the very sovereignty which was paid for with the blood of our own forefathers.
