The only ones I can really think of are some of the Melodic Death Metal bands from Sweden, Finland, and Norway, like Michael Stanne from Dark Tranquillity. They tend to handle fame fairly well.
Then of coures, goth singers, i.e., Peter Murphy, Nick Cave, Siouxsie Sioux, Robert Smith, etc..of course, they tend to be pretty timid.
The only reason that album was even any good was because of Don's vocals.

Nothing against Don Dokken but why would you walk in on an interview and just continue to blab away? Either he was high or just being pretty damn rude. Give Bach his time on camera,it was an interview afterall. Sebastian was pretty much class for putting up with his interruptions also.That being said though,love Don Dokken just the same,great vocal singer.

his solo album working with Billy White was good. I think Don and Jeff Pilson could've made it without Lynch. Lynch was definitely the major attraction but Don and Pilson made the music mainstream acceptable/successful

Chris Cornell was a grunge singer. Grunge bands' main goal was to not be popular, of course he didn't have an ego. In the 90's, popularity was a bad thing.
Steve Perry, the ORIGINAL singer of Journey (The new singers actually make an effort to emulate his voice, because it's what people want to hear) did have an ego.

Dave Grohl, not only falls into the "Grunge musician" category, but isn't in the limelight enough to have an ego. No one really takes him seriously. He's just "the old drummer for Nirvana." Always will be
Besides, bands like Seether, Puddle of Mudd, and Foo Fighters will never be taken seriously due to the fact that they are just inbred offspring of the angsty 90s bands. They frequently change their sound to fit the radio's definition of rock, causing them to lose whatever fan loyalty they have.

The only ones I can really think of are some of the Melodic Death Metal bands from Sweden, Finland, and Norway, like Michael Stanne from Dark Tranquillity. They tend to handle fame fairly well.
Then of coures, goth singers, i.e., Peter Murphy, Nick Cave, Siouxsie Sioux, Robert Smith, etc..of course, they tend to be pretty timid.

The only reason that album was even any good was because of Don's vocals.
Which not only shows his singing ability (conforming to modern music instead of the usual 80's style) but his ability to save something as atrocious as a George Lynch-made album.

These two guys are colossal tools. CLEARLY Sebastian is the one who interrupts your interview and clearly invites Don into conversation. Granted, Don loves to talk about himself and is a bit of a blowhard, but it's still interesting dialog but you two fucks can't even recognize it for what it is and roll with it.

I have always been a Dokken fan but that pisses me off. Don is pissed because George has been more successful since their breakup years ago. Truth is, Don did not want George being his equal or stand out more than him. After "Back for the Attack" George said fuck it.....I am breaking loose....both guitar playing wise and gettn away from Don.
Baz is a way better singer than Don as well and he is not a thrash guy...

I met Don & Mick 5 yrs ago through a friend. After the show we were in their tour bus & I was sitting across from Don & all he did was rip on Lynch & how crazy he was, how he pulled a gun on him, the whole name thing, pretty much everything he said here. It obviously bothers him a lot to still be talking about it all these years later to anyone who'll listen, but it didn't bother me. I've always loved Dokken & I always will. I work with rock bands so I guess I'm just used to eccentric musicians!
