This is one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Randee Heller were just brilliant. Oh and I loved Elisabeth Shue, especially her character. Unfortunately, nowadays stupid girls prefer brainless muscular ill-bred playboys with rich cars & zero personality. Sad, very sad. The Karate Kid was wonderful and so realistic film! I miss the 80's

I heard about this after I watched the outsiders.I love Ralph Macchio, but I feel like a stalked cause he's like in his 50's...why couldn't they just freeze him in time!
