  • this car is so dated ,but still pretty cool. if love to have it..

  • the transmission on the 1987-1993 Cadillac Allante

    Transmission

    4-speed 4T60 automatic

    4-speed 4T80 automatic

  • That is a beautiful car. I've always loved these cars since I first saw them. This one, I think should be considered a "mantle piece" car. A car that should go to either a collector or someone that knows these are rare. It' would be a pitty to see it messed up in any way.

  • 4.5 litre v8 with 200bhp, hahaha

  • @MrMatty1993 200Hp was considered alot in the early 90's.

  • 1993 was also the first year the Seville STS had the Northstar V8. Both were awesome cars

  • I usually hate digital gauges, but I love the ones in this beauty.

  • Can anyone say TC by Chrysler? This car was a mistake. The body's were built in Italy and shipped by boat to the US for final assembly.

  • @gruffdan They were actually flown to the states in specially equipped Boeing 747 cargo aircraft.

  • @Jakeman2164 yeah now they might, but they sure as hell weren't 20 years ago

  • Looks kinda like star trek

  • @ipomd the gauges were actually based on the boeing 737

  • The new Allante( The kelly Bundy Bounce)

  • Beautiful underrated car, and great vid as usual! On a side note, didn't people used to get trapped in these cars? Something about the door latches not functioning properly in hot weather? Would not keep me from buying one to find out though haha

  • piano music is perfect for a Cadillac

  • looks just like mine even same year but mine has the hard top and 96000 miles

  • i got one just like it in pearl with wine int.

    90 model.

    same as mine.

    mines 49000 miles.

  • @infamycomms its front wheeldrive

  • @annihilator1111 no one cares about the transmisions

  • the transmission of the 1987-1993 Cadillac Allante

    Transmission

    4-speed 4T60 automatic

    4-speed 4T80 automatic

  • It's probably already come up many times, but is that V8 transversely mounted!?

  • FWD :O

  • (sry I hit enter by accident) thought of motor week and bajabusta

  • It's funny right when the gauges lit up I

  • BEST PART ABOUT CADILLACS THE ENGINE LIGHT UNDER THE HOOD ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE YOUR LIGHTS ON! Blank page design Cadillac Style!

  • 4.5 litre V8 and it only manages a portly 200bhp?? come on america, thats just embarrasing japs get that from a 1.4 litre 4cyl.

  • @DirtyStang69 Really? the 2010 honda civic si had a performance tuned 2 liter engine that had 197 horsepower, and made only 139 ft/lb of torque. a cobalts 2.2 makes more torque at a much lower rpm and its not even performance tuned. THe JAPS cant make an engine with decent torque. in the 1st place why are you comparing new engines with 20 year old engines, weres the logic in that? The japs cant even get 150hp out of a 1.8, the 2011 corollas can barely sqeeze out 128, while civic only make 140hp.

  • @kirbyswarp what are you talking about? the Japs cars are better than the imported ones you and i get, for example, Honda Civic type-R over here has a 2.0 16v dohc engine developing 197bhp with a 0-60 time of around 6.5 seconds but in their own country, that same engine is made to develop 240bhp with the 0-60 nearer just 6 seconds with no turbos! And again, the Toyota 1.8 16v Dohc VVT engine makes 189bhp normally aspirated, its the same engine used in some Celicas and the famous Lotus Elise.

  • the STAR TREK cadillac. horrible space age instrument panel. the dark ages of GM for sure

  • Some of the dashboard parts are the same of Lancia Thema/Fiat Croma

  • Dude you had 10 minutes, why the hell didn't you put the TOP DOWN?????

  • cool speedometer.....those are rare indeed.......

  • Few things I noticed, first and formost the abs disabled message is on and the brake light is on, most likley a bad master cilinder (over $1,500) also the master cyl in that car has allready been replaced (the with sticker on the master) also sevrel light buls out but no message on dic (bad bcm?) Front bumper and wheels is off a 93 allante. I wouldn't tuch this one with a 10 foot pole. (I love these cars, I own 2 of them) exhaust is not stock

  • @abweiss I almost bought one of these (and a Reatta) a few years ago, problem with both cars is they used mostly specialty parts (and other electronic do-dads) which are difficult to replace. The Reatta had a little 4in CRT touch screen for its trip computer looked similar to Space Invaders, good luck replacing it.

  • @28CarsLater yeah. I don't see the digital look coming back anytime soon.

  • hi man i just have a tour today in C allante all day whit my boos :) have a good day

  • Wow, that dash, looks like something out of knightrider, so many buttons :o)

    That paintwork is amazing :o)

  • One of the most beautiful Cadillacs!

  • wheres the foglights?

  • @TheMacbooksRock15 no thats not th stock muffler

  • CD AND TAPE?!? NO EFFIN WAY!

  • Robin Williams starred in Cadillac Man to showcase the car at that time, someone just now on YT argues this was not the most expensive Cadillac and that all of them had Northstars, I believe of course, that is entirely incorrect. I do wish to check my info since it's been some time. What say you? Only the 4.5 V8 or 4.9 V8 I believe, in these, and the 93 model was Northstar equipped

  • the body of the 1987-1993 Cadillac Allante was made in Italy

  • Man! That Allante with black on black looks beautiful.

  • Are those rims the correct rims for that year of Allante?

  • cute hazard sound hahaha

  • Sweet machine - I don't recall getting a look at the engine thougth.

  • @gwuengr2 Same Transverse V8 for the 1988 Sedan Devilles, only they didn't have the nice "plenum" for higher performance. But 1985 was the 4.5 V8, the weaker one for sure, but still the World's First and only TV V8!!

  • @MetallicBill Not to be outdone, the 96-00 Ford Taurus S.H.O. and 1994-2001 Lincoln Continental have a transverse 4.6 V8. They have equal length drive-shafts so they don't torque steer too bad.

  • @vpole Ah, cool. I heard of one with TWO NORTHSTARS, an Eldorado that was custom built, I just read about it in passing, so I don't have a reference currently, They tried Supercharging the engine at the time IIRC

  • gotta make sure those hazards work on those GM's lol but seriously nice ride! still rather have a lincoln though

  • The newwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Allante!

    ::Christina Applegate Bounce::

  • Love this Cadillac!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man i love these ole allante's

  • The dashboard reminds me of knight riders kitt car, really neat!

  • @supercarsunleashed Nope!!! Never was a Maserati!! Always was a Caddy!!!

  • That dash readout looks like it was miles ahead of its time! Great video, thanks.

  • Wasn't this originally a Maserati?

  • @supercarsunleashed no, General Motors/Cadillac never partnered up with Maserati. You're thinking of the small Chrysler 2-seater of the early 1990s. The badging indicates that Cadillac partnered up with Pininfarina to build the Cadillac Allante, as they did with the Cadillac Eldorado Brougham of the late 1950s.

  • @JMMoosey Yep, Pini were big big fans of Cadillac, they forward for the book on Eldorado was done by Pininfarina, and the Coach builders of the day all inspired Cadillac Design Studios / GM as well

  • hey ! make a vid with the with bus! thank you !

  • Never get tired of hearing that V8.

  • Absolutely striking to look at, and that V8 was music to my ears.

  • So....this was designed by Pininferina. Horrible design. Pininferina makes beautiful cars. But they made this piece of $#!% . so sad.

  • its funny how most critics bashed this car somewat because of all the buttons and the gauge clusters...but now buttons are everywhere in new cars today and much more complex..just ironic....

  • i love the tons of buttons...its like a 90's stereo...need more cars with that type of interior

  • nice !! love the semi-box body lol!

  • In GTA IV, the Albany Primo retains its four-door sedan design, but is influenced heavily by the 1987–1993 Cadillac Allante but has a four door sedan design most likely from a 90s/80s GM A-body, like the 1989-1996 Buick Century. The top of the trunk lid seems loosely inspired by 1992-2004 Cadillac Sevilles

  • What a beauty! O_O

  • buttons everywhere!!! but in all seriousness pretty stylish for a '92 car.

  • The car's awesome!!!!!!

  • Interesting car.I worked for an individual that set his up for racing. He had lowered it using some Eibach springs and mounted some 18" on it. He then raced it at Limerock in CT. It was red with a white top. One of the better looking Allante's I had seen.

  • is this the cadillac version of the buick reatta?

  • pretty but awful.

  • With all those buttons / gauges... it feels like a plane cockpit D:

  • Too bad they're FWD :(

  • that the music played on the radio at 6:45

  • Thank you so much, Kyle. Very nice video. Beatiful rare car, a real rare find. I am a big Cadillac fan and I love the variety on your channel. As always, two thumbs way high.

  • Great review!

  • LOL. Primo from GTA IV.

  • There's only 1 dislike and it MUST be blackseries99

  • @carsaregood911 dude, it's not good to make assumptions like that

  • @2004NissanSentra LOL my bad, but look how hateful he is.

  • love LOVE allante's. Motorweek used those guages in their intro for years. The story behind the Allante is amazing, flying the bodies from Italy to detroit to marry them w/ the chassis vertically w/i a boeing 747 was an expensive and probably the longest assembly line ever!!

  • @bajabusta I know!! I watched your videos on it haha, I had no idea that they used those gauges till now, pretty impressive that's for sure

  • @saabkyle04 I know right, been trying to see which car had those gauges and now I finally know.

  • @saabkyle04 kyle and baja my idols!

  • @bajabusta Saw a book covering that, with photo, a comment I just got contests the fact these were the top Cadillac and most expensive, but worse, the guy says they all had Northstar engines. That simply is NOT true

  • Stop arguing dudes. Get a life

  • Hey Kyle. Do you know if that was the stock exhaust? Cause if it was it sounded awesome!!

  • @TheMacbooksRock15 That's a good question! I'm not sure, it looks like it was but idk about the chrome tips if they came standard or not

  • @saabkyle04 The water dripping had me worried, I'm not an expert, but often you can get signs of a car's health right from the exhaust gases. I just replaced my full tailpipe, it was not cheap. The muffler there is starting to rust. As well, the trunk pull down mech is common to many GM cars I believe, My Firebird also has one

  • can you do the 5 series beside it if you have the time?

    thanks

  • @jbone51096 I actually have a couple as well as a test drive if you wanna search the channel!

  • Pininfarina huh? I had a feeling the interior resembled that of an italian car like a Maserati. Come to think of it. So does the exterior.

  • I've always thought the Allante was a very cool car!!!! This one is in very good shape for being almost 19 years old.

  • That 4.5L at the tailpipe is pure music!

  • What an odd hazard/indicator noise..

  • @Maserati7200 lol yes

  • Nice car, and when he turned on the radio it was Love Like Woe and then it was a song from Charloe Brown Christmas

  • Kyle, can you please do that Ford Super Duty next to it. I surely would appreciate it.

  • Not much is going on, Kyle. Thanks for asking every single video. :)

  • the 90's was such an underrated decade

  • I heard there was comment conflict going on here! It was a pretty cool car, although RWD and a sort of flop like the Chrysler TC by Maserati. Very nice car, thanks for finding this car and doing a vid on it!

  • Have you done that Jeep Commander that was pulling out in the beginning of the video?

  • @MrGSNfan I already have one on here

  • Boooo to no door or seatbelt chime:( The chimes on the hazards though were unusually nice so maybe thats how it originally sounded on the door and seatbelt.

  • The ONLY Cadillac model I would ever consider owning. Nice tour. Thanks Kyle.

  • yeah this is timless styling from GM the front almost looks like an 87 MC

  • those gauges are so futuristic, looks like something from star trek!

  • @saabkyle04 k Thanks for the info!

  • This car has a very impressive history indeed. I really like how the interior is styled.

  • Oooooo all them buttons!!!!! Me like.......LMAO

  • those gauges are awesome, especially for 1992

  • Whoa whoa whoa!

Wow these comments are split down the middle. If you don't like the car that's fine, but lets not bash kyle and negatively comment on this video.

I think its a very interesting car, the gauges and whole interior design is unique. Thanks kyle for showing us this, i did not even know this car even existed.

  • fwd V8. Don't see that too often.

  • @MangoSmoothie16 the impala and MC SS had a 5.3 liter v8 but from years 06-09 i think

  • @MangoSmoothie16 the impala and MC SS had a 5.3 liter v8 but from years 06-09 i think and both were FWD

  • @90Mrknowitall Oh. It's just... uncommon. The cadillac eldarado had V8 and FWD and the olds toranado did too

  • @MangoSmoothie16 yep since the late 60s which was even more uncommon.

  • are you gonna upload any kind of video for the equus?

  • @Applerocks35 yep once they come into showrooms, the 15th i'm hoping

  • 5:25 The Money Shot

  • I like your vids and your way of presentation but not this particular car...Any problem with that...

  • @blackseries99 there is no problem with that sir. But if you don't like it, please keep it to yourself. If you write those kind of mean comments on this channel, alot of people will start annoying you. Therefore, it is best not to write it. You can maybe do it on some other channel but not on this one.

  • @asgher786 Zzzzzzzz...................

  • @blackseries99 I'm just trying to help you son. I guess alot of people hate you. I know you had enough for one day

  • @asgher786 -So this is what you do in your free time /watch?v=E29QnLibXZY

Your good name doesn't match with your vid actions.

  • @blackseries99 wtf? you write the strangest things man

  • @asgher786 I dont want to argue with you on a crappy car...GET A LIFE

  • @blackseries99 shut your ass up

  • @asgher786 You vid uploads shows your ass is wide open like your mouth....LMFAO

  • awesome video kyle! Another fine example of true Cadillac beauty. Though that dirty foul mouthed bastard blackseries99 should shut his motherfucking pie hole before someone gets hurt

  • Thanks for the vid Kyle! The taillights are pretty cool on this car :p

  • When can you get a hold of a 2010 Honda Pilot? Please Reply.

  • nice allante but i want to see a diamante LOL please

  • blackseries99 hates Kyle.

  • Nice and rare car! But not as rare as the C1 Corvette.

  • that is a beautiful cadillac

  • Keep it up!! I love your videos :)

  • @dv975 Thanks a lot man!!

  • Five minutes into the video, and the cars still got water in the tailpipe? That can't be right....

  • @91jchevy87ec1 it's been record low temperatures here, warm exhaust on cold pipe = condensation

  • @saabkyle04 yeah, I get that, but this video was filmed and then edited to be put together. Unless the exhaust clip was done immediately after starting the car, there shouldn't have still been water in the tailpipe when that part was filmed.

  • thats the weirdest turn signal noise

  • @bleachatchatpark LOL :D

  • @bleachatchatpark more like the coolest turn signal noise

  • Thumbs up if Kyle should block blackseries99.

  • @SuperSportSS nah he shouldn't block him it's fun cussing him out lol

  • @datboiwes333 You got a point bro. lmao.

  • I like the sound of the blinkers

  • What a rare car! Only 1,931 were made for the 1992 model year!

  • @Joseph9536 I was so happy to see it I've always loved these cars, would love to have one

  • very intresting sound of the blinkers

  • @fballev55 i agree

  • Is indeed a pleasure for someone like me, a lover of cars, see your reviews, are excellent and help me learn more in detail many vehicles not know well.

I appreciate the car more than 80 and 90, thank you very much Kyle, all my support for your project on youtube.

  • @macrodisio Thanks a lot my friend I really appreciate it!

  • so many buttons:| but i like the dash

  • very diffrent to a deville, eldorado, brougham and other cadillacs that was made during those period

  • why are you wearing a suit?

  • @aumkarpraja It was just school attire, no suit ;)

  • nice car thanks for showing

  • WOW today when i was driving home from school one of these passed me but i didnt see the name and it was bugging me until i got on my computer and it was right there in my sub box thats weird

  • This car is mad cool! I never saw one before! and I see you rocking that suit Kyle lol.

  • Fuck in Mercedes , Fuck In BMW , Fuck In Audi , CADILLAC IS A CADILLAC!

  • @dilson0070 thats means its a crap

  • Nice Caddy Kyle

  • Hey Kyle, that car is sexy, especially the interior, reminds me of a Mecedes!!! don't u agree?

  • My uncle has a red 93 allante. The last year of the car and the first year of the northstar in the car and it is fast as shit

  • Did u say it had a cd player? Cuz if its original wow a cd player

  • I have never heard of a allante! did the xlr replace this car?
