  • Outstanding group of people. Just one thing, wouldn't MP-5's or P-90's be better for vessel boarding? By definition, anything hostile aboard a ship would be a CQB incident, and an SMG is better suited . . . just my opinion. It is obvious to me, in the overall, that Singapore is well protected and Singaporeans can be justifiably proud of their sons and daughters who serve.

  • I still don't get why their sailors wear the white masks. I mean is there a specific reason for it, or is it just part of the uniform for certain Occupational Specialties.

  • We used joked as Ninja hoods, actually it is standard naval combat protection gears against small blast fragments and most of all, it is fire retardant (will not catch fire when subjected to flames for certain period of time). To any sailors, a shipboard FIRE is the most feared enemy.

  • OK now it makes sense. So it just makes the sailor better prepared then for a fire or whatever the case may be then.

  • @bailong329 Its called Anti-flash White. The original idea was to reduce burn damage from flash fires on ships. THe same name applies to aircraft with white colour schemes; tho with aircraft its purpose is to reduce the heat effect from thermal nukes.

  • @bailong329 sergeant wear masks also i wore them in air force plane shooter

  • This is why foreign companies come to singapore..
