It is easily fake for the fact that his wrist/arm isn't moving or tense or anything. Unless I'm wrong, at a point during the attempted roll, he turns out a constant bass note, which makes the toms vibrate and the stick bounce right up n down on it.

One to two word answers come off very snobby most times. I still don't know what is triggering them. I can only assume that the speaker on the top half picks up the resonance and triggers the bottom speaker. But like I said, I haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

People, just look at some other vids of his. !! This is not a drum roll !! He has either 8" or 10" Polk/Momo speakers mounted to plywood baffles on the bottom, making the drum a speaker box. He played some tone through the speaker, loudly, and lightly held the stick there as the drum head vibrated to the tone. Must've turned the volume up and then down, at the beginning and end, and added in an actual roll to fill where the speaker wasn't doin enough.

If people were "curious" enough to read my ELECTRIC DRUMS page and watch other videos there, they would not have to guess at what is happening. I've been to everyones page that comment here.
