  • where do u liv tht this happend?

  • looks like his ear is tagged red!

  • Yup... both ears actually.

  • 1. WOW at your back garden lol

    and

2.I wish I could see a bear in my garden...I just see pigeons :/ and they jus crap on my stuff

    lol

  • Wow man....this is awsome. You're cam is pretty good.

    you got skills man.

    and NUTS like bowling balls!

  • Nuts may be the opperative word here, just not in that sense... :-D

  • Man...that thing looked HUGE.

2 red tags mean he's a man eater!!!

    Jk

  • He was definitely a big boy, pushing 400lbs.

It turns out they tag both ears the first time they tag a new bear.

  • Ohh...so he very well may have been coming for you, huh?

  • For all I knew at the time, two red tags might have meant "Warning Bear with major 'tude". I was thinking it was a male vs. female thing at the time.

  • You got bigger nuts then me man......I'd need a....idk WHAT I'd need to take him on...but I certainly wouln't be chasing him....with a camera.

  • wow! cool bear man! wish i had a bear in my garden! wish i had a garden! or a window even...i give about ten dollars a month to people that help bears [im poor] Still every little bit helps...anyway! nice bear, your very fortunate to have such wonderful things around you....

  • wow..well done on getting the shots. The largest thing I saw in my back garden recently was a 'lost' black dog and that didn't have cool piercings. ☺

  • was he tagged,,, he has red ears.

  • Let your local DNR know if you happened to get a number off the ear tag...Not sure if you had to reduce the image quality for video or if you have high res versions that you can zoom in on...Great shots..

  • Couldn't get tag numbers, the DNR says it's a recently tagged bear as they only give them two tags the first time they tag them. It's probably a male known as 'The Southington Bear', most of the females they've tagged in the area also have collars.

  • Keep your garbage secure...You don't want Mr. Southington to think you have an all night buffet...

  • cute beary bear! I would have been to afraid to follow him. the shots came out great I think!

  • I wish I'd got a face on photo in the clear. He's all fattened up for winter with these great punky cheeks. I don't think I'd be as likely to follow him first thing in the spring when he's hungry and cranky from hibernating. :o

  • It's good that he kept on going!

  • Indeed... I just wish he'd hesitated a bit longer when I stepped of into the clear.

  • A big black bear with piercings...

Now you don't see that every day ;-)
