Always loved the opening/closing music (by Earle Hagen, who also did Andy Griffith music) Sounds very good here. How'd you get such a good copy?
For years I've been wondering why, when so much dreck from the 70s&80s gets endlessly recycled on various cable channels, has MH never reaired... not since the early 80s anyway? Hopefully all the tapes still exist.
I only KNEW it as a latenight classic (1978 cbs) my sister had to tell me it ori. aired as a daytime soap.
They stopped showin this where I lived about 3 mos before it went off the air for good so I never got to see how it ended either! The last I saw Loretta had amnesia and was eating Cool Whip at a bar. My gramma wouldn't let me watch it. She said it was dirty! Do y'all know if it went off on Friday and was back on Monday as Forever Fernwood? I never knew how that worked because we didn't get that one either. What was the opening and music to Fernwood like? Can you upload the whole show for us???
@Freeflyur There was a three-month hiatus between the serials. MH2 ended on Friday, July 1, 1977. Forever Fernwood went into syndication beginning Monday, October 3, 1977. The last episode of MH2 was taped on June 17, 1977, for serial trivia buffs, the same day Adam Drake was killed off The Edge of Night. The theme music for both series was the same Premiere Occasion (You Have Never Been in Love), written by Barry White. The credits were the same, but FF did not announce the title.
I never knew that Louise came back for the end. I thought her end was leaving with Sgt. Foley. This was a nice little goodbye. I wonder why they did Forever Fernwood at all.
I've seen the first 25 episodes of this but nothing else, thanks to the others being taken off Youtube...
