@theboambs You can use any cymbal for any pad so you can just get a single one. Whichever color input you plug it into, the cymbal will act as that color. No need to get the three pack.

can you use these for rock band 3 pro mode on drums? Does it just register as another green/yellow/blue note? if it does them i dont think it wouldn't work for drums pro mode. i would rather buy these for my rock band 2 set then buy a whole know kit for RB3

@Twitch1408 From what I understand, you need to buy 3 of these cymbals and they will work work rock band 3 pro. I believe in drums pro, you still have four notes coming down the screen. but the ones they want you to hit the cymbals for are a different shape.

If your looking for more difficulty with these cymbals then wait for rock band 3 when they put a drum pro mode in which makes you have to hit the cymbals at the right time

@GuitarHero5392 I think I got lucky and mine never really dropped notes, because I have heard from tons of people they get it all the time. There's really no way I know of to prevent/fix it.

From what I gleaned from your review, it looks like all the cymbals do is duplicate whatever drum they're plugged into. That seems totally pointless to me.

They do not duplicate on Solo's. They become cymbals and the other remain toms.

i bought a bunch of xboxstuff second hand. the cymbals do not work. I notice they have these plugs hanging with a very short wire. Are you supposed to connect those two cables to another cable that goes into the drum unit? Please explain so I can get this missing cable

I always played guitar hero and loved it. I got one drumset with insurance. I turned it in three times and got new ones until the last set. They ran out of drums in my area. I picked up a Rock Band drumset instead (with cymbals) and I think they're SOOO much better.

they're madcat.. i got them and they're pretty handy to have when you get into some of the harder songs.. pointless to the effect that they do the same thing unless you're in freestyles, but i found mine to be far more responsive when hitting really fast rolls like in "ace of spades" expert, etc...

yes i have the cymbols and yes you can hit either one. you can hit the cymbol or the drum pad. the cymbal sounds like the cymbal and the drum pad sounds like a drum pad, if you know what im saying.

It doesn't matter, you just go by the sound and hit what you think is supposed to be hit. It's a lot easier than it sounds.

I have a RB1 kit and i have a spliter for a dbl bass pedal now if i got these cymbals could i use the spliter i have? I would really like it if you could get back to me if not i understand. I just ask because i know that the RB1 set doesn't have another port to plug them in but if i have the spliter it should work right?

I went and got the rock band two bass pedal and it came with a box that takes two AAA batterys and it has two headphone looking jacks on either side of it. What you do is plug your bass into the box then the box into the jack in the drum set. I just don't know if you need a different jack to get the cymbal sound or if it would just work that way. So what's your guess?

I was a bit unimpressed with this idea, strictly because the chart doesn't show what's cymbals and what's pads. But overall, it's pretty damn easy to guess which is which. They seem sturdy so I'll probably get them. Only thing that would annoy me is the occasional song (only ones I can think of are Run to the Hills and Everlong) that chart red as high hat. But whatever, I won't really play those anyway.
