  • woo, prespasser4000's dick is only a half inch.

  • if i had a 2 inch dick i would kill whales too.

  • Why was Captain Watson arrested in his past?:

    1) Spraying paint on a baby seal so the poacher wouldn't want to kill it for its fur. That was Canada.

    2) Assault. He got into a fight with someone about to kill sharks for their fins. That was Costa Rica.

    3) Harassment of Cuban and Spanish fishing boats off the coast of Newfoundland.

ARE YOU SEEING A TREND? He did not do those things in Japan! Race is NOT a factor!

(The arrest warrant Japan issued is less than insignificant)

  • @canofwhipass Everyone loves to use "racism" as some kind of counterattack. i see it time and time again. THIS in particular has nothing to do with racism. It's about protecting a helpless species who are under attack by superior forces just like if aliens with advanced technology were to attack humans! Pretending it's research doesn't excuse breaking a law. Crying racism is their attempt at diversion of attention from the crimes.

  • How can "research" have a "quota"?

  • Japan's main research is on how tasty the whales are.

  • AGAIN back to the race counterattack stratagem? Talk about Whales, loser. Don't try to divert the issue from the japanese crimes. Why do you clowns always do that? If you want racism, watch the videos THEN you'll see about racism!:

    youtube.com/watch?v=t5jOccoYNJ8

    youtube.com/watch?v=hzmgyFQNvvU

    youtube.com/watch?v=mYdmGIEphB8

  • This is real racism, watch the videos youtube.com/watch?v=bxA6aIwjzwM and youtube.com/watch?v=leZCtHIqfFo and youtube.com/watch?v=2szx-WWR0rw Then you'll see who the racists are, Australians or japanese!

  • i bet it took over 500 whales to discover that whales are also sea animals.

    Fucking bullshit.

Everybody knows that japanese whalers use the "scientific research" excuse to exploit the loophole in the international law to ban whaling.

  • So you killed 900 whales to figure out that you can shoot a harpoon at them and they can't live, and they eat krail, is this a joke?

  • Genuine scientific entities have contacted the japanese and submitted low-cost viable alternative methods for gaining the knowledge ICR whalers are claiming they seek in this "research whaling campaign". Alternatives that would leave the Whales alive AND subsequently create a peace that would end the entire Sea Shepherd activism in the Southern Ocean.

    But the whalers declined it.

    Why?

  • The science of whales: They're scared shitless of sharks.

  • What a crock of bull-- I'm yet to see someone harpoon a Jap & drag them behind their car & tell people it's for research

  • Japs are cooler than whales I mean can whales make automoblies so affordable and create the Sony Playstation? We'll they take big shits in the ocean and eat tons of fish that could be used to feed other animals and humans. I'm just kidding I love whales 2.

  • eating whales,pigs,cows and vegetable...whats the difference???

    it's culture dude.

    Korean eats dogs

    African eats rabbit

why do we have to eat what you racist fuck say?

  • @ABNK20 Because many whale species are nearing extinction, some of the same ones that are being hunted. To top it off whales are MUCH smarter than any of those animals and have a far greater emotional range. And stop being ridiculous this has nothing to do with racism.

  • @harkonnen554 its funny to hear about EXTINCTION from australian who almost kill Aborigine.

you guys are selfish bitch.make me laugh. you dont care aborigine and jap but whales?

  • @ABNK20 Why would you insist on hunting something to extinction.Your argument is well humans made 1 species extinct or committed 1 atrocity so why not go ahead and blow up the whole damn planet, dosen't sound so good when you put it like that does it?The only selfish people I see are people like you who care more about what they stuff in their mouths than the existence of an intelligent species who feels all the emotions you do.

  • @ABNK20 And American and part native american before you go there.

  • @harkonnen554 I'm*

  • Comment removed

  • @ABNK20 you dont want people from papa new guinea coming to japan, cutting your head off and eating your body even though its there traddition, yes? same deal with the whales.

  • @Joesolo13 then what did you eat for lunch yesterday? human kill living creatures to live. I understand that its creepy for you guys to hear us eating whales but tough shit. you kill cows you eat cows.

do muslim ever attack you just because you eat pigs? Sea Sh...something does.

  • @ABNK20 peanut butter and jelly is made from plants. so is iced tea. as well ascoconut and carmel cookiees. that was my lunch yesterday.

  • fuck japan, you had what you deserved

  • @Mirkofia Thats fucked up I hope you get your fingers slammed in a car door on a really cold day.

  • @GlamoursFever

hey round eye. go back to your hotdogs and video games

    sincerlely

    >_<

  • @nilsniklas no one here is calling you "squinty", dont start calling us names.

  • If the japs are still killing whales in the name of science they need to get some NEW FUCKING SCIENTISTS BECAUSE THE ONES THEY HAVE ARE SHIT. FUCK OFF BACK TO YOUR OWN WATERS WHERE YOU HAVE KILLED AND EATEN EVERYTHING AND DON'T FUCKING COME BACK YOU LOW LIFE SCUM.

  • They are not fish...dummies.

  • ANTI WHALING PROTEST OUTSIDE JAPANESE EMBASSY 102-104 PICCADILLY MAYFAIR LONDON, 5TH NOVEMBER 2010 @ 1PM.

  • Lets hope I don't become president, because if I do I'm going to want to nuke the rest of Japan to do current research on dying Japanese from radioactivity.

  • krill<whales<japanese scientists!

  • I thought it was the real thing first, but when they started talking about "tasty animals" I burst into laughter! :)

  • eating for research!

  • the jap whalers need to be shot with a harpoon, dragged along rough terrain so that they are mangled up into little bits and then force feed the mangled bits to the captain of each whaling ship. then after that, torture the captain physically and then nuke... sorry bomb the ships to the bottom of the sea bed =]

  • What an absolute bullsh*t !

japan is robbing, stealing and snatching as much proteins from all over the ocean as they possibly can.

They don't give a damn if they clean out spawning grounds or anybody else's backyard.

The only "RESEARCH" they do with these ships is to find a way of getting even more whales, marlins, tuna, dolphins etc. out of our ocean.

  • It seems rather odd that at the end of this video the subtitles refer to whales as fish when in reality they are mammals just like humans. This show s that the Japanese are extremmely ignorant and that that their "Scientific Whaling" has shown any credible scientific facts. If they were smart, they would know that whales are mammals and contain high levels of mercury, which is very toxic to humans, and they feed whale meat to school kids.

  • save a whale, Boycott Japan

  • LOL the translation is very wrong...

  • this is fucking awsome but you know some dumb asses believe this shit lol. there like "hey this can go on my support heroic whalers page!"

  • @MelancholyUnicorn Well tell me, what the fuck is RIGHT about what Sea Shepherd is doing?

  • @NRen2k5 i dont give a fuck about what there doing you dumb ass. not every one that thinks its bad to murder whales likes the sea shepherd baka. the only thing they have done right is ram one of the boats. have you ever watched the cove? i suggest watching it. i luv LOVE japan but i do think its bull shit how the fishermen treat dolphins and whales. the reason i laugh at this is because that

  • @NRen2k5 dude the sea shepherd can burn on hell if they want a war they are asking for one and its not going to be whales dying haha.

  • At least the Australians STOPPED doing it, ass hole Japanese fucker!!

Now it's only gay Japanese and Irish fuckers like you that commit these heinous activities!

    FUCK YOUR SHITTY CULTURE

  • @OliveOil2u well said !!!

  • @OliveOil2u

    right on.

  • sea shepherds rule japan sucks

  • sciencetifically research whales by eating them. very sciencetific indeed

  • totally agree with Tokyomodern.....

  • NEWS:

    WHALING IS NOT JAPANESE CULTURE

TOKYO, JAPAN - A Japanese Gallup affiliate Poll conducted by Japanese Researchers has revealed that nearly 96% of Japanese people DO NOT Eat or have Never eaten whale meat. Thus the Japanese people themselves have now spoken, indicating they are not interested in whalemeat & it is not Japanese national tradition. The poll conducted by Japanese citizens in Japan also found the majority of Japanese people also Do Not support Antarctic whaling.

  • then why the shit do they still do it. The whale population in fact the fish population in japan is extremely low. I wonder where the whales went hmmm.

  • NEWS: WHALERS POISON THEIR OWN PEOPLE & CHILDREN:

"A Scientific board has found that whalemeat contains dangerous levels of Mercury & PCBs 10-1000 x higher than even fish, Monday."

"Our advice is not to eat whale meat," due to the impact on child's brains, said Janneche Utne Skaare, deputy director of the Norse National Institute.

"Japan, Denmark, & Norway have all issued advisories against eating whale meat sold by whalers because of brain damage due to toxic mercury."

  • Japan, Iceland, Norway, your saying your whaling for "research" right? so show me what u have learned, you cant cause your really "commercial whaling" for? your taste you have became so selfish you'll kill things tell its gone just for taste thats how selfish u are this is our only planet guys and so what if were gonna die soon but you want our kids to see what we have but like 100 millions years from now if the planet is still around they won't know what a whale is cause we killed it all

  • surfiboy101, what you say just shows your stupidity.lol

  • STOP WHALING, you know what, one problem is of whaling, is the earth is over populated, this planet wasn't just made for us, its not hard to stop over populating.

  • yes i pledge to support them

  • They are just laffing and making fun of whales and if they would make fun of some people who will understand what they are saying it should be a war

  • In Japan they are just showing this video to make less people fight against whaling and let theyreself whaling all centuries

  • EJConrad is thinking right i like what he says.

  • WHAT you must be crazy he wants to kill a endangered animal, gosh.

  • I would like to eat some whale.

    wonder what it tastes like?

Red blooded.... mammal... Kinda like a big cow.

I probably blows beef out of the water. lol!

  • Your sick, how could you think that, whales are endangered for crying out loud, and all you can think about is eating whale, what did they do to deserve to get eaten, humans are being selfish these days, i love animals if you ate a whale your making things worse.

  • WHALE MEAT FOUND TO CAUSE IRREVERSIBLE BRAIN DAMAGE

Mercury, a potent neuro-toxin, has now been shown to cause irreversible neurological damage. Severe cases resulted in Coma or Death.

Even in Low concentrations Japanese scientists found mercury causes damage to the nervous system, children are even more at risk. Exposure to methylmercury may be irreversible & can cause developmental brain problems

EIA Chemical analysis showed extreme levels in both whale & dolphin products

  • oh yeah down with whaleing

  • Certo! Mas quem garante que isso é verdade? O Japão só tem permissão para matar baleias para fins científicos! O "ICR" vende carne de baleia também para fins alimentícios! Isso é um crime contra a lei do Japão e a VIDA!

  • I think you are stupid for believing there was any truth to this.

It's making fun of the fact Japanese whalers kill whales under "scientific research".

  • @KICKERMAN360 Now we need more people making fun of Sea Shepherd "risking their lives" "for the whales" and honestly "saving" hundreds of them every year from the "illegal" hunt.

  • Maybe we should be able to hunt Whale Hunters, they are Japanese so we can say that we are doing research on their brains to find out "why they are so clever".

  • I have never pretended to be japanese ! That's laughable and really ahows how silly some people are. All you have to do is check out my details on you tube, they are all there...

Anyway, like i said, I eat whale and it tastes great, but that is in norway. Japan should cease all whaling for the reasons already explained below.

  • LOL

  • I'm hungry, I'm sick of beef, I feel like something different. What do japs taste like? Mabye we should hunt them and see. =)

  • Don't you know anything? Japs taste like fish. Duh.

  • Average time is 45 minutes. They had to pay extra for 7 bullets since an environmentalist group was recording.

Just for the records MochaFSU using explosives to kill an animal can not be no where near humane,

    It is barbaric.

  • 1 minute? what do they use, ion canon interdemolecularzer?

  • MochaFSU put some brain in to your head,

whaling fleet burns twenty-five tons of fuel everyday for four months , and even this is subsidized from your taxes that you pay only to give you mercury you needed to retard your brain plus whaling shows to everybody how Japan dishonor it self telling lies about a sham science.

  • Sea Shepherd's video shows a minke whale took 25 minutes to die, harpooning an animal with explosives, dragging it, then putting seven bullets into its brain nowhere near humane. Australian Oceanic Viking's footage shows while a whale dying in 30 minutes. There is no way to kill a whale as fast as any farmed land animal.

    Don't lie to world.

So many people sstated whale meat is bland and disgusting may be eaten only if food is scarce(for example after WW2) how pathetic to live in the past .

  • European Parliament called for the establishment of regions of oceans and seas as sanctuaries where whaling for scientific purposes would be banned indefinitely and the current International Whaling Commission (IWC) moratorium on commercial whaling should be strengthened, and special fishing gear to avoid by-catches should be used in these areas and sonar activities should be restricted.

    19 February 2009

  • Do you remember the number of the bread that you have eaten up to now?

  • Whales are not food. Whales will extinct if we hunt them, there is no danger for farmed animals to go extinct unless we stop to eat them. Kill a cow with explosives and harpoons drag it then electrocute it several times, and let it suffer for 45 minutes choke in its blood, then see if you won't get charged with animal cruelty. Probably in Japan you don't have any laws that :

    bans cruelty on animals or

slaughter of pregnant or nursing animals,

not to kill animals if they are not weaned.

  • Its EVERYONES god damn buisness you fool!! The whales dont belong to you! And try researching cause im NOT australian...im English....and about the Cows.....all you are doing is pointing out how that Cows also suffer cruelty, NOT that the Whales dont. Infact if you can so easily point out that a Animal being farmed suffers cruilty, then you must be able to see how harpooning endangered creatures is cruel. Just shows how when its something you want, then its acceptable. So damn greedy, you are.

  • That was a good video with an interesting narration.

However, the subtitles were amazingly wrong.

  • That's what is making it better.

  • uhh....how?

  • All your points SUCK, infact i dont think you have made any point here.....its fucking cruel....ever herd of karma???

Australians grow up.....japan is the only country that needs to grow up. Grow up and stop being spoilt, Japan is in the wrong and Japanese cant handle that.

  • fucking retards too .

whale isn't a fish , you fucking nips.

    there mammals.

  • some people are saying , ohwell let them whale on their land.

FUCK THAT. WHALES DONT GET TO CHOOSE WHERE THEY WANT TO LIVE.

THEY CANT FUCKING BUY PLANE TICKETS TO ALASKA OR WHEREVER THE FUCK THEY WANT TO BE.

  • According to IWC, the latest number of Minke whales is 665074, and is overpopulating.

Australians should see the scientific fact instead of rumors, then think logically not emotionally.

  • TokyoModern, can you tell me where you got this info from? According to the IWC website. "The Commission is unable to provide reliable estimates at the present time. A major review is underway by the Scientific Committee." Last estimates were for 1988/89. Which is 20 years ago.

  • i dont give a shit what japan takes. just dont come onto the rest of the world and start staking your claim. fish the shit out of your own waters then see how much sushi is left, u greedy, overpopulated, mass multiplying, whale slaughtering population. glad the anzacs kicked ur ass at kokoda. be no more fcking kangaroos either if we didnt (to the few decent japs out there no offence.)

  • why are you guys complaining? didn't the video say that whale meat is scientifically delicious?

lol sit back and enjoy a whale sandwich

  • good one :-/

  • I have a reasonably good background in sciences, and there is NOTHING scientific about that movie!

I wish Sea Shepherds nothing but the best of luck in their next expedition to whaling grounds! Go get 'em, Paul Watson!

  • You may find that this movie is falsely dubbed for the purpose of humour.

  • Yeah, sure, commercial whaling guised as research in a LEGALLY PROTECTED whale sanctuary is perfectly legal. Pigs can fly, too.

  • If it's research then why is the meat commercially sold (and via underground markets)? Hmm?

  • please help saving the whales and join SocialVibe (you can find the URL on my page) It's free and easy. If you have any questions please ask me.

    Thanks Valentina

  • Japans Whaling industry is ALL ABOUT TUNA! they want more so they kill off the top predator to get more...Greed plain and simple- and murder to accomplish it.

  • Japans dolphin slaughter is all about tuna. Whale hunt is all about Antactica.

(ps. those whales eat krill and krill is not fish )

  • how is it research? if the Japanese kill 900+ whales each season? Whales only have a about 20 - 30,000 lefted for each whale to be fully grow to mate take between 7-15 year or more. Whaling or what japanese call it Research will make the whales disappear.Plus they are not hunting in japnese waters they are hunting in protected areas!!

  • All inhumane slaughtering of mammals should stop. Not only whaling (which if done humanely I would have less of a problem with) but also halal and kosher slaughtering practice - just because it's a religious belief doesn't mean it's sacrosanct

  • Excellent video, someone once said that ''sarcasm is the lowest form of wit'', I don't think so, FishinSashimi makes a very important point about the hypocrisy of ''research whaling'' without resorting to name calling or making racist remarks. Well done!

  • There is NO WAY Japan can ever take 10 x as much as now. Whales would not last a decade. Don't forget Japan has a long history of overfishing and breaking quota's and let's be sure - Japan openly defies the ban and the restrictions of the exclusion zone and kills far more whales than warranted as well as kills calves etc, which is NOT RESEARCH

  • All great points. It just goes to show that when you decide to kill other animals, you have to do some fancy footwork to try to defend your actions ethically. Personally I think any excuse, no matter how deftly phrased, is just that: an excuse. It's all unncecessary; we don't need meat at all and it's time humans accepted that fact. It would certainly help our environment and our fellow beings if we agreed to stop eating them.

    Thanks for your responses.

Also, whales are just plain magnificent.

  • Also, I have seen the video you mentioned and it is definitely NOT ethical to do that. Sheep and other farm animals are all intelligent creatures who care for their young and desire only to live in peace. To keep them suffering in tiny pens only to mass-murder them the way we do is a shameful disgrace. As to which is "more ethical" or not is a debate more for philosophers than me; I just think that, at the very least, we can start by leaving the sea mammals alone. For a start, anyway.

  • I used to respect the Japanese, but their greed for mammal flesh is disgusting. They need to realize that they cannot continue to consume unsustainable animals like whales, and start eating other things, like vegetables, as apes like us were meant to do (all other apes are vegetarian). As for the "scientific" farce, just claiming that makes them seem more ridiculous. The entire world sees that killing whales and other cetaceans is unethical except for Japan. Get a clue, Japan! Eat a carrot!

  • The Japanese eat about half as much mamal flest as Americans and Australians. Please do not hate Americans and Australians either.

I agree that the Japanese presentation of what they are doing does make them look ridiculous, but what they are doing is little different from what others are doing.

That does not make it good. Personallly I think that we should all eat more carrots and less mammal too. But I don't hate them, or Australians, or Americans.

  • Timtak: I did not say I hate the Japanese... just that I don't respect them. I don't respect anyone who ignores the suffering and immorality of killing intelligent species just to be able to eat them. This includes those who eat land animals too, but ESPECIALLY the cetaceans. Anyone can give up eating whales and dolphins and still have plenty of choices. It's simple greed.

I'm sure not ALL Japanese eat them, and I respect those people who make the ethical choice not to.

  • Sorry to misquote you.

What makes you think that they ignore the suffering?

How much more intelligent are whales than cattle, and is intelligence (problem solving ability?) a good objective standard of what not to eat?

    Why especially the cetaceans?

Anyone can give up eating any particular source of meat.

Why is it more ethical not to eat sheep (which the Japanese rarely eat) that not to eat whale?

Here are some sheep being killed. :-(

    watch?v=TJsDo8uOOmg

    Is that ethical?

  • Timtak: good points. I personally think it's unethical to kill any sentient being to eat it. Why cetaceans especially? Not only are they rated the most intelligent species on the planet--along with the great apes--but they are simply an unsustainable food source (just calling them that sickens me). We know little about them, but assume that they are as intelligent as their close cousins, the dolphins.

It's like eating or experimenting on apes, both of which are abhorrent yet still occur today.

  • Well I take your point(s) too in more that one way.

    1) Intelligence as the most important benchmark (sorry, could not think of a better word) of the edible/inedible. I definately empathise with this benchmark. Why don't the Japanese?

    2) Sustainability. This *is* important to me. One could argue, "no, wtf, survival of the fittest," but I think that the Japanese, me, and everyone else cares about not obliterating a species.

  • There are many other issues.

    3) The extent to which the food-animal (again, sorry) has a good life. I am inclined to prefer the killing of wild animals for meat to the killing of boxed animals for meat but this my preference is not popular.

    4) The extent to which the animal provides meat, per size of brain/intelligence. If one whale dies in intelligent agony, it provides X school dinners (sorry). To provide the same number of school dinners, how many less intelligent sheep die?

  • Kangaroos are killed for culling purposes, not for enjoyment. Ignorance is indeed bliss

  • The Japanese claim that some of the whales they are killing need to be culled, due to the purported fact that they are numerous and eat species that humans also eat. Is this claim spurious?

    Ingorance may well be bliss.

  • Yes it is spurious. Or false in normal terms. Big words do not win arguments. And in which part of your defense does "scientific research" come into play?

  • Sorry did I use big words?

I am not sure what this one is replying to. I know it is replying to a comment of mine because I received a notifaction but your comment above is displayed, now at least, unthreaded.

But, I believe that the Japanese are scientific enough to discern that the whales that they are killing are not endangered, or conversely that the stock is sustainable. That does mean weighing each and every whale.

Yes, I believe "scientific whaling" to be a dressing up.

  • It is a dressing up of what I beliee to be scientifically carried out commerical whaling. It is both scientific and commericial. In order not to offend Westerners (who they see as being rather like Hindu's towards cows) they think it better to stress one of the two reasons. They think they are being tactiful. I think that they should just be frank.

"We want to eat whale. We will do so while studying the whale population scientifically to ensure that it is not endangered."

  • this made me lulz so hard!!!

"whales have yet to develope an immunity to harpoons" LOLOLOLOL!!!!!

  • Whaling is just WRONG!

  • Why?

  • But have you tried having sex with a human female? It might be better than a dolphin. I have always found sex in the water to be more difficult.

  • O___O''

  • Anyone watching this channel who has been following the trolling and harassment over the whaling issue, should know that both ilovesheltie, and justinkayleighton are fake parody accounts - the same one that was banned as logicbeatslies. Please report these user IDs

  • You are a parody of yourself. Anyone who advocates human-dolphin sex has a screw loose.

  • you feral monsters

"for scientific research" yeah i doubt that

  • I think that the Japanese are fudging the issue.

They want to fish for whale, but they want to do it in a responsible way. A responsible way entails research. They are also (as well as the meat for their whale stakes) researching. In my opinion they should make their multiple motives clear.

They long and short of it, I think, is that they think that they are whaling responsibly, at a level that can be supported by the whale population, since they are researching that population.

  • Tell me pro-whaler 1)Why the Japanese needs to kill 950 minke whales every year? 2)What kind of science pushes whale meat to school lunches? 3)What was the thing that you didn't learn from the first whale of last year's culling (oh well you call it 'science' I guess) and needed to kill 500 more?

  • 1) Whale meat & survey.

    2) The kind that surveys viability of the source. I believe that the surveys are also motivated by the desire to provide school lunches.

    3) I know not. More schools? Who is "you"?

I am apposed to the way that the Japanese portray their whaling. They should call it whaling, done scientifically, and tell beef eaters where to go.

They are trying to be polite and sensitive. Among Japanese the strategy would be seen positively. Among Westerners it backfires.

  • kangaroo hunter....kangarooos are a pest in central parts of australia and whaling is elegil and is not practiced in australia u forign fuker...suk my dik animefannumb3r1

  • mmmm tasty

  • Funny vid about a serious issue.

  • Just a reminder your login time gives you away too. You may consider to get a second or even third computer to manage your personality issues without making yourself so obvious.

  • Oh hi ShintaroJustin

Check your other account I replied you.

  • Japan, is not doing all this for 1000 Mink's. The industrial whaling ships are supposed to make a profit and with bigger ships they can harvest 10,000 p/annum and they will, or else they are loosing money. Don't forget the endangered species that they prefer.

The science on the numbers - yes Tim Flannery believes there are bigger evils. This is not the issue. The issue is the existing ban, and the whale sanctuary.

Japan is breaking all the rules, and shifting blame.

  • The Japanese call their whaling "scientific." In one sense it is, but it is also equally commercial - because they want to eat whale, and because the whalers want to make a living.

By this attempt at tact, the Japanese are getting a bad name, and making people think that they are out and out liars that would whale to extinction.

The truth is that they care about the whales at least, I would say more more, than the cattle farmer cares about cattle and would not whale to extinction.

  • That is a reasonable assumption to make, however I feel you underestimate how wrong a fake research operation looks to Australians, et al.

Australia has the lowest instance of corporate corruption in the world. That sort of thing is almost unheard of here.

In fact, I suspect that Japan expected to be allowed to go on hunting whales under a research guise as a favour and I think Japan is upset because of that, but there is NO WAY we could ever let that kind of corrupt practice go on...

  • > you underestimate...

Not me, the Japanese (I am a Briton, though I may become Japanese one day). I agree with you. Really, really bad PR.

But I think that they intended to be tactful.

  • "But I think that they intended to be tactful. "

    I don't.

They have not acted anything like what I expected from Japan.

The fisheries department is not a pleasant bunch of guys. Ultra right wing Nationalists hijacked this debate from the start and the ministers in charge have been much more deceitful than just using the research guise.

  • Hmm...I agree that right-wingers are involved.

I am not sure how "ultra right wing it is."

If people (lets say if India was the only superpower) said "Don't eat beef. You are greedy, nasty..." then even a non-ultra-right wing British person might get unpleasant about it, and use any means to circumvent what they (we) would see as a cultural imposition.

That is the way a lot of Japanese people see it, not only the "ultra right."
