omg... during the choruses they inserted chad's studio voice...he was just pretending he was singing....the verse stuff and all other singing is legitimate but chourses are fake....guess he was feeling ill or something he is really barely pulling it off

I'm not biggest fan of Nickelback but I do consider Chad to be a really good singer, you know, with really good technique. but all those years of partying and cigarette/whiskey abuse must have taken its toll :/

@KoNjire I saw an inteverview Chad did right after Dark Horse came out where he said Mutt pushed him to sing higher and harder than ever and that he didn't know how he was going to pull it off live. Well, this is how he pulls it off live I guess. Producers go overboard in the studio and make singers sing things they could never do live and that is why people lip sync. Kinda sad when all they have to do is tune their instruments down a bit and make it easier to sing. Lip syncs are lame tho.

@KoNjire No sorry man, that was almost 4 years ago now. He said he did not know how he could pull it off and then the interviewer asked how long he would keep performing and he said as long as his voice held up then he complained about not getting as much sleep now that he is older. He said he used to sleep 12 hours on the road and now gets barely 8 hours of sleep a night and that sleep is what helps him keep his voice. He has to lip sync, too much risk of losing market share w a bad show.

I guess it is tough be in that situation (not getting enough sleep on the road) but being singer myself, I know that getting good amount of sleep is really crucial for your vocal cords to function well. But people take it for granted, if they see someone not singing well they immediately bash you up. But I can't blame them, they paid to see a good performance :/ . Moral of the story - singing is hard! :D

@MilanCampioni92 Dude, he sings some of it, no doubt and it is different each show. All he has to do is motion to one of the Pro Tools guys if he is not feeling up to singing a part on any given night and voila, it pops out. It is really easy to do. How can you tell he is doing that in this performance during the chorus? Listen with headphones and listen how the timbre, volume and tone of the vocal changes at "We're going out tonight". He lip syncs that, again, sorry to burst your bubble.

@Ateamcaptain in this song i can hear it without the headphones... and i know they do lip sync sometimes it's understandable especially when in another country stuff happens to your voice... and btw you think you know everything you don't... he doesn't "motion to one of the Pro Tools guys" lol their called sound engineers and live concerts ar rehearsed so in this they knew were and when to do it... and when i saw them he didn't, i've been in music long enough i know the difference...

@MilanCampioni92 even though I think Ateamcaptain is generally right, I do have to say that performances are indeed rehearsed hence the need for Chad waving to the sound engineer is not necessary, and also it is indeed true that Chad was once able to sing the song without lip-sync as I've seen those performances (on youtube though) and it was definitely his live voice the whole time through.

@KoNjire i know... i saw them live in the US with Buckcherry and Three Days Grace and got on the floor right in front... caught a guitar pick from each guitar player and trust me when Nickelback played i felt the spit from Chads screams the whole concert... i know that when i saw them all 3 bands were 100% live
