However, I seem to recall iago once telling Aladdin that Jafar stayed clear of Mozenrath--but I could be wrong about that. It makes sense though since Jafar only became a sorcerer after wishing it.

Totally. But it was refreshing to be taken seriously as a kid- it was like they knew we could handle his motives. What I find really interesting is that Disney is fond of color keys. Notice the usual villains wore red and black. Red was for evil, blue for good, and purple and gold for neutral. This carries over through the other movies as well as the series. But what color does Mozenrath wear? Weird, huh?

Well Aladdin may have had trouble keeping the lamp, but it wasn't -that- challenging to get it in the first place. Really he just strolled into the cave and took it. And if it hadn't of been for Abu grabbing the gem he would have escaped without a scratch. Mozenrath's main point is that he had to sacrifice his hand (and more) for the gauntlet, while Aladdin keeps the genie's lamp (an equal or greater artifact) without any horrible downsides.
@IceScorpion (continued from last comment) not that mozenrath isn't a respectably accomplished sorcerer...it's just a shame that he's so evil. evil is cool, but only in moderation. if he wasn't so evil the heroes wouldn't always have to step in and thwart him. as far as his ultimate fate...in the last episode he appears in, two to tangle, they take his gauntlet and the genie sends him away in a cage in a balloon. since genies can't kill, we know he survives...beyond that it's a mystery.
In case anyone can't tell, Quote 5 is not said by the same actor in al lthe other quotes. I probably would've thought he was expreimenting with the voice had I not known ahead of time lol.
They intended to make that the plot point of the 3rd Aladdin movie. They couldn't get a hold of the guy who played Mozenrath and eventually decided to stray away from the series.

@charchar34 Number 5 is Black Sand. Probably my least favorite episode in the series. The dialogue just seems off, for me. That and he has a different voice actor in that episode. It's Jeff Bennett. Known by lots of people as Brooklyn from Gargoyles.
If they ever do an Aladdin 4 I think the Mozenrath movie idea should be resurrected with him and Aladdin turning out to be brothers. That would be a cool movie.
I wrote a story that I'm planning to give it to Disney studio.
It's isn't going to turn out that Aladdin and Mozenrath are brothers, but they are going to become friends, Mozenrath will become Aladdins partner on hero challenges and he'll also find himself a grilfriend who is a hero named White Cat!
you know whats really interesting about him is that he is supposed to be Aladdin's older brother. They had planned to make an episode reveiling this but the series was cancelled before thay could make it.

But I digress. Mozenrath and Mirage are my favorite villains of the series! He even showed up in a dream I had once! Awesome quotes. Thank you for this vid.

Well Aladdin may have had trouble keeping the lamp, but it wasn't -that- challenging to get it in the first place. Really he just strolled into the cave and took it. And if it hadn't of been for Abu grabbing the gem he would have escaped without a scratch. Mozenrath's main point is that he had to sacrifice his hand (and more) for the gauntlet, while Aladdin keeps the genie's lamp (an equal or greater artifact) without any horrible downsides.

@IceScorpion (continued from last comment) not that mozenrath isn't a respectably accomplished sorcerer...it's just a shame that he's so evil. evil is cool, but only in moderation. if he wasn't so evil the heroes wouldn't always have to step in and thwart him. as far as his ultimate fate...in the last episode he appears in, two to tangle, they take his gauntlet and the genie sends him away in a cage in a balloon. since genies can't kill, we know he survives...beyond that it's a mystery.

In case anyone can't tell, Quote 5 is not said by the same actor in al lthe other quotes. I probably would've thought he was expreimenting with the voice had I not known ahead of time lol.

They intended to make that the plot point of the 3rd Aladdin movie. They couldn't get a hold of the guy who played Mozenrath and eventually decided to stray away from the series.

@emberfur19 He was supposed to be the family member in the third Aladdin movie, but unfortunately, Mozenrath's voice actor died, so Disney chose his father as the family member... check it out on wiki

@charchar34 Number 5 is Black Sand. Probably my least favorite episode in the series. The dialogue just seems off, for me. That and he has a different voice actor in that episode. It's Jeff Bennett. Known by lots of people as Brooklyn from Gargoyles.

If they ever do an Aladdin 4 I think the Mozenrath movie idea should be resurrected with him and Aladdin turning out to be brothers. That would be a cool movie.

It's isn't going to turn out that Aladdin and Mozenrath are brothers, but they are going to become friends, Mozenrath will become Aladdins partner on hero challenges and he'll also find himself a grilfriend who is a hero named White Cat!

you know whats really interesting about him is that he is supposed to be Aladdin's older brother. They had planned to make an episode reveiling this but the series was cancelled before thay could make it.
