@GsBBoyDan Canola oil poison? Rapeseed oil was banned because of the high content of erucic acid seemed unhealthy on rats, so canola was developed as a low euric variation of rapeseed. Later it was shown that erucic acid had nothing to do with the rats problems. Virgin (not supermarket) vegetable oils are not oxidised. 50% of fatty acids in coconut are atherogenic.
You don't know much about oils, do you? Get a copy of "fats that heal, fats that kill" by Udo Erasmus, just to start.
This sounds very much like advertisement for the industry. Saturated fatty acids increase the LDL-cholesterol and are directly related to atherosclerosis. Coconuts, palm kernel and palm oil are extremely rich in saturated fatty acids (butter too, of course) and real killers. How can somebody say such nonsenses??
@pincoveg Advertising? Obviously someone doesnt know the history of canola oil (poison). Or the science of coconut oil and how it's fatty acids are not the same as other saturated fats. Or the truth about saturated fat in general. Or what the real direct relation to atherosclerosis is (inflammation homocysteine, of which the body uses cholesterol is to repair oxidation damage, it's like calling firemen the cause of a house fire.) Vegetable oils are highly oxidised. Do your own research
i just checked my kitchen and we've got nothing but conola, peanut, and vegetable oils :0 if they heat up oils and make them bad fats, why do they do that? can't they just take the vegetable oils and stuff and just sell 'em like that? and is peanut oil bad too? (sorry if that sounds stupid. i'm just a 15 year old kid)
