  • How does phil use the gcx and ground conrtol when the 6505 is not midi?

  • @RideTheLightning1995 this I also want to know

  • @RideTheLightning1995 ok I found this....Voodoo Lab GCX Audio Switcher

you pair this up with the Foot controls and you can conrtol midi and non midi devices

  • @lewisstorer89 i have the 6505+ and the back panel is totally different to the normal 6505. which sucks because the + version uses a 9 pin din jack for the foot controller where as the normal 6505 uses a straight 1/4 inch jack.

  • Lol all these guitars are butt-ugly...

  • @TheWezel1995 If it's Megan Fox's butt then Yeah sure i agree .

  • @TheWezel1995 like youre face

  • yall can kiss off Phil Demell is badass

  • DEMMELS MIX UP IS HE CALLS THE BUDDY GUY WAH A BUDDY RITCH!

  • CAPS LOCK JEEEJ

  • I have never ever used a tone knob, those things just make no sense to me and I have played in cover bands for 30yrs. Maybe for jazz or if I was playing music from the 50's, I cant get paid playing that stuff, people wanna dance yo.

  • @adaddyrockstar the only thing they do is annoy ppl when they are accidentally set to 0

  • @adaddyrockstar maybe you should listen to eddie van halen...

  • @aridahl LOL, his original guitar had no toggle switch nor a tone knob.

  • Uh that would be Buddy Guy! C'mon Phil.

  • does anyone have the polka dot model? ive seen it on ebay but not youtube

  • i love that he uses mostly gear either as a tribute to someone or they're signature stuff. its refreshing to have a great guitarist use what normal players use

  • Why does everyone call them Sixty five of fives? why not just say Six five o five or 6 thousand five of five.

  • and that's why metal is so stale....nobody uses a tone nob...now you know

  • its buddy guy stupid buddy rich was a jazz drummer

  • I just got two pedals so far. He's got both of em ^^

  • "Buddy Rich"??? Buddy Guy perhaps?

  • Justin Bieber uses tone controls!

  • @Waidmann74 Really?!?!?!?! Thats crazy cuz the tone is still shit!!

  • "nobody uses tone controls in metal"

totally true the only thing the tone knob does to my is annoying me when it's not fully turned open

  • rocky for the win

  • Hell(o) Bro nice Axe's..I'm getting one from my record company..Can't get it soon enought :-) 666 Hails to you and MH

  • I am so jelly of the polka dotted V. Randy is my favorite guitarist of all time and i love Phil's signature V. even though i don't listen to Machinehead, their Iron Maiden "Hallowed be thy Name" cover was kick ass; easily the best cover.

  • @MatzaFTW jelly?

  • @TheMetalhead804 short way of saying jealous... i was feeling tired when i wrote that.

  • @MatzaFTW it kwl dude.

  • buddy rich is a drummer spoon features

  • Phil Demmel looks like Ron Perlman

  • In all my guitars, the tone knob has been bypassed (wide ass open) and in place I use a rotary kill switch. Very cool. I can get that studdering, machinegun sound without using the pickup selector. And when you want it quiet, it's off immediatly. Rock on Machine Head!

  • Buddy rich?

  • @MrAGG777 yeah eh haha, think he means buddy guy

  • @MrAGG777 Haha! I caught that too, but was unsure. I thought there was someone else who I didn't know about.

  • hes a nice guy

  • Hell yeah!!! No one uses the tone knobs for metal guitars!! I 100% agree with Phil.

Totally disconnected the tone knobs on my 3 Washburn MGs!!

  • Here's my interview. "Hi, my rig is a guitar, cord and an amp. Have a good night!"

  • @Vomitore He's famous, you're not ;p

  • @fridogg, no it wouldnt be funny. Retard.

  • would be funny if he passed out during this shoot

  • @fridogg thats so cold xD

  • @fridogg lol that was cruel man :D

  • @fridogg no it wouldn't be funny and why would you even bring it up its not his fault he has high blood pressure

  • ill always remember you as Phil Demmel from VIO-LENCE

  • Doing a 500 word essay on him, its taken me like a week cause I end up just sitting here watching these videos and listening to Machine Head all night

  • @MustaineIsGOD23 May ask what grade your in if you can still do awesome shit like write an essay on phil demmel? O_O

  • @BangLikeABassist Year 10, it was on a sports person/musician with mental health issues, and seeing as he has/had depression I thought I might as well do it on Phil :P

  • The wah pedal is Buddy Guy, not Buddy Rich. Since when does a guitarist pay tribute to a drummer? LOL!

  • Damn my favorite guitar is the febreeze

  • does he mean buddy guy?

  • @MikleShnikle no he meant randy rhodes. look up his polka dot v. randy may have been giving a shout out to buddy but phil is definitely calling out randy.

  • @zeppelinfan182 i meent teh wah

  • Gotta love Dummy Cabs

  • very funny!

  • @metallicafan954 spoke to soon sorry to say

  • no dislikes. that's how it should be... \m/

  • only volumes!

  • The Polka Dot Randy inspired Demmelition is going to be availible soon. They are releasing it as an import very shortly.

  • I think he means buddy guy

buddy rich is the jazz drummer

  • Buddy Rich...the jazz drummer. Nice going, Phil.

  • that Randy flying V was fuckin' hot \m/

  • Phil is the best! Personally a really great guy

  • can i please have howie!?!

  • seems like a sick guy

  • getn phat phil

  • buddy rich. fail.

  • @guitaraddiction7 He said it's the zakk wylde wah pedal he just put the buddy guy casing on it cause he said he likes it for the rhoads :]

  • I thought it was the Buddy Guy casing?

  • I LIVE BY THE 5150 AND I DIE BY THE 5150!!!

  • I use tone. It makes it more crunchy, and louder, on my gear least ways. Brings out the crunch.

  • 3:33 Flander? "Stupid Flander"?

  • no tone knobs but yet he has od pedals..kind of negating his argument

  • how many pedals does this guy have?

  • most metal bands us tone

  • @CRmommasboy24 na, na they dont

  • @FsTsMetal The only band that comes to mind is Arch Enemy. But only in the studio.

  • I love his setup even though I am a guitar into the amp type player. I love his tribute guitars too...especially the polka dot V.

  • man if i had all of that crap i would be amazing at playing guitar, cant wait to get my demmelition jackson. I absolutly love machine head!!!!

  • @1919sean1 Having a lot of gear does NOT make you a better guitarist...

  • @000acr000 Are you implying that Phil Demmel isnt good? Because if a piece of dandruff fell off his head. I would be honored to see it.

  • Buddy Rich is a drummer.....it's the Buddy Guy wah Phil lol

  • That Schenker looks like a Dean VMNT a whole lot

  • @TheNohcim I think thats the point of it lol xD

  • "When I need that extra punch...Rocky's there."

  • A Boss GT-10 Could do all of his pedal needs.....

  • @DrummaMuFucka maybe he dont wont a gt-10

  • @1jack369 Maybe... Who knows

  • @DrummaMuFucka

If you only want BOSS stuff then yeah. But if you want an MXR or Dunlop tone then no

  • They need to release a v with that slmg headstock.

  • @diabeticmonkey They do, Jackson KV2T =)

  • @megadeth628 That's right, they do. Thanks for reminding me. :)

  • @diabeticmonkey No problem. But the neck will be different, just like the neck is different between Demmel's and the KV2. The KV2T has the same neck as the pro SLS3 hardtail (the white one).

  • laods of people use tone controls in metal normally the people who don't know what a good tone is don't have tone controls

  • Buddy Rich/Guy lol

  • You know this band is heavy metal at its best and Phil is so just down to earth and cool person. I am going to get the PDX version, have kids and can't afford the 1250 version. Going to start a christian metal band when iget home form Iraq.

  • @1919sean1 i just bought the pdx version last week. it is amazing. seriously, with the price difference, its so worth it to buy the pdx version. u dont notice the bolt on till ur at the 22nd fret, the jackson floyd plays and stays in tune exactly like the original, the pickups are okay, i'd suggest changing them for actives like i will. but ur making a good decision, its a great guitar for the price.

  • A bottle of Fabreeze. and i personally love the tone knob. the guitar's for me really never have enough crunch. i like the tone and i intend to change the meaning of metal as in 1983 tharsh metal.

  • He had two of the Rhoads tribute guitars made. He's got one and another guy from Dublin that he grew up with. I keep buggin him that I want one but its not workin yet! Phil is an awsome dude and very down to earth. just another one of us from Dublin Ca, and knows where his roots and friends are. Dublin has produced some great names in the business and Phil has done us proud. But I still want one of those fucking Rhoads axes bro!!! You know who this is...

  • i love jackson and mh. but cmon any other make would of shown the acoustic, he even picked it up, cmon, dont be greedy,

  • Phil's got the right idea. The tone controls on the guitar itself are such a waste of space. They're a pain in the ass to use, they're not really that good anyway, they get in the way.

  • the coolest man alive. no doubt

  • Isn't it Buddy Guy? Anyway, awesome guitars right there!

  • @FrttMs he used a fender

  • @AxlMetal

    Oh really?

Duh, I know... Read the description:

"Can you spot Demmel's mix-up in the piece?"

  • @FrttMs i caught it buddy rich = drummer

  • @FrttMs Yeah, that's what I thought. Honest mistake I guess. =)

  • We here in Sanctuary respect phil... Brilliant musician and he doesn't have a rig complicated as hell.. Down to earth guy and has fantastic taste in instruments which is why I actually own one of his signature Jackson models

  • "nobody uses tone in metal"? Well no wonder he sucks. He just insulted a lot of metal guitarists. Of course you need tone, unless you just wanna make annoying sound.

  • @werbnnerf he said no on uses tone controls in metal. he's talking about the tone controls on his guitars. most metal guitarists don't use the tone controls on their guitars. tone comes from your hands mostly and your amp for the rest of your tone.

  • @JacksonKV2FTW

    I see. Well okay

  • what a legend!

  • definition of dude

  • If only all Jackson USA's had that natural maple neck. It would be ill if they sold that Rhoads King V as one of Jackson's high-end models. They could make a profit out of that. Anyway... PHIL, YOU HAVE A SICK RIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Nobody uses tone controls in metal." SOOOOO true ^^ !

  • @DarkLordNagash

    Slayer isn't metal?

  • @JerkyChid I never said that...

  • @DarkLordNagash

But you agreed with the statement that no one uses tone controls in metal

  • @JerkyChid Slayer have tone knobs on their guitars but they don't use them ! Tom Araya explains their playing style as "I only have one knob on my actual bass and it turns everything to ten", and I doubt Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman give a damn about their tone knob ^^

  • @DarkLordNagash

Of course, he's a pick bassist. Kerry uses his tone in conjunction with his booster and Jeff uses his controls to give him a thicker sound.

  • @JerkyChid They set the knob once and then they never move it again

  • @DarkLordNagash

Yes, per song. Then change it when the next song requires it.

  • @JerkyChid never seen any of them touching a single knob during a live performance yet ^^

  • @DarkLordNagash

and yet I have quite a few times

  • @JerkyChid Anyway it's not that important to me... I was happy to have a tone knob on my axe until I realized I never used it, now I have another guitar without a tone knob and I prefer it that way

  • @DarkLordNagash true dat. just turn that shit to the bridge pickup and wail!

  • @DarkLordNagash I do

  • this dude is just awesome! Machine Head is one of the finest examples for metal these days!

  • buddy guy not buddy rich lol

  • kooooooooooooooooooool
