shame on those stupid wrinkle canvases being in any show that isn't a street fair. i knew a guy that used to do those for local cheap furniture stores. wrinkle a piece of canvas spray horizontally across it and tada! instant success on the new york art scene! those pieces should have been thrown out on the street and run over by a cab when they were shown to a gallery owner.
oh...! and also, thanks james! love all the shows! even though my attitude usually stinks. :)
My job is to try and show folks what's out there on the New York art scene. Admittedly, not all of it is to my taste or what I would consider "important". But it is important to see what the "powers that be" think is important, and I hope the Kalm Report provides a forum for a critical discourse, thanks
