i'm from america and really want to study abroad in london through the ASA study abroad program. i have the option of regents college or london southbank. i just don't want to be around alot of americans lol...out of the two univesities which one tends to host more american students? i really just want to get immersed in british culture and i feel as though being around americans will just diminish that purpose lol
@wrightstateboy45 LOL DONT GO SOUTH BANK UNIVERSITY IT IS SHIT YOU WONT GET A JOB EASILY ITS ONE OF THE WORST UNIVERSITY IN THE COUNTRY YOU JUST NEED 160 UCAS POINTS WHEN 250-320 IS STANDARD UNIVERSITY AND YOU WONT BE AROUND AMERICANS LOL 60% OF THE UNIVERSITY IS ETHNIC MINIROTY SO LOL MOST SCHOOL IS BLACK NOT AMERICAN OR BRITISH FOR THAT MATTER AND THE MAJOROTY OF PEOPLE ARE 21 AND OVER
lsbu is a great uni, i had worries after reading some of the harsh comments on these videos but dont be put off there are many other universities around london that are must worse. I think you have to have an open mind to go there as there are many people from different back grounds. i live in halls atm at mclaren and love it, very cosy and secure. I study social policy and my faculty is ranked third in the uk and employers know that so i know i will get a good education and a good degree
this place does ok for nursing. WARNING do not do design courses (product etc) employers hate the courses. some have a list of unis they won't even see grads from. south bank is the biggest no-no. Also- very depressing area. Its elephant and castle and not on the south bank.
I want to go study nursing at LSB, and I want to live on Havering Campus.. most of the nursing lectures are on south wark campus and Mc Laren house...how far is Havering from them??
i am studying MBA at LSBU and I absolutely love it. Students tend to be more vibrant and confidant when the come out due to the whole experience they go through. Its definitely not the prestigious business school but personally from what i have observed, its no less either.
no proplem mate. I guss it was the Asylum that mad u think I was from outside of the UK LOL. Its more of an idication of how crazy my mates say I am lol. Am comeing down to South Bank on Thursday to have alook. My first trip to London in many long years

Oh. Sorry chief. Presumed from the name you were from abroad. Oh well. Scratch half of that. Still, LSBU is in the heart of London which is always useful and you'll have the opportunity to meet loads of people from just about everywhere. I'm thinking of transferring to one of the media courses. I think I made a wrong choice doing engineering. I learned some useful skills though. Good luck!
Hi. I am studying Performing Arts. Why is Funding an Issue? I am going down to have a look next Thursday and see whats on offer. So nevores about this whole move
As I said before, South Bank is a very multi-cultural university and I've talked to alot of non-british folks studying there (I'm presuming you're here on visa, correct me if I'm wrong). I don't think any of them could get a student loan or grant. Call the fees department at South Bank, maybe they can give you a better clue. Or better still, your local education authority if you are currently living here. Good luck!
I am concedering comeing to south bank uni. But I am so very, very very nervors. I dont know London well and am so frightend about moveing away from home and no makeing friends. I have been offerd a place at south bank and at a Wales Uni to. I dont know which to pick. I am so worried about makeing the wrong choice. I did Uni once before and ended up been very unhappy so I pulled out. I dont want to go over that again. my dad is also no takeing an intrest
I'm doing chemical engineering. I know the engineering department has a good reputation and there are some very good lecturers there. I hear the psychology courses are not great. Though not as popular as some other universities, London South Bank is a very multi-cultural university in London's city centre, so you should have access to alot of facilities and useful locations. Work hard and you can get your degree. Funding might be a problem though.
bloody awful shite uni
