  • I can't stand how full of shit this guy is. Why isn't he dead yet?

  • WOW!!! FANTASTIC DEMO!!!

  • @dadudeguy2 Yes, that's probably the reason why he's holding (not playing) a Jackson guitar :p

  • @dadudeguy2 yup

  • @dadudeguy2

    He does.

  • i hope it doesn't give the same sound as in the video...

  • @dadudeguy2 yup

  • wow! don't they sound great!

  • GAYZVILLE!!

  • @dadudeguy2 Yea He's the Public Relations guy..

  • @dadudeguy2 either that or he sells jacksons at musicfarm, i've seen videos of him selling jacksons. maybe he's a rep or just an endorser.

  • @dadudeguy2 he works at a store that sells jackson, he is a rep for them :)

  • @doddl: i totally agree. Great tone, sounds like someone talking.

  • @grymmr34p3r yeah, he says they're great, wow, that's really helpful. Like, great in what way, and how are they better than the 81 85s he's been playing for 20 years?

  • kinda

if u have passive pickups itll b pretty hard to install active pups

i have passives and some good passive pups would be the lace deathbucker

    which im looking into

  • wow what a helpful video. i sure can hear how they sound like if he talks about them...

  • well the EMG 60 was originally designed for the Fender Tele-Elite Model in 1969 until Fender changed its plans

and EMG pickups became its own company in 1979 so it brought back the 60 to a lead neck pickup

  • @CreepingDeath9999 wow, emgs were designed in1969, well, it's about time they improved the sound with the 81x. thanks for the info.

  • @metalfiend124 You mean 1979 I mean if it was 1969 Hendrix could of played wtih them.

  • Hey EMG pickups. How old is the 81 and 85? like what year did they come out?

  • 1981 and 1985

  • 1981, 1985

  • can someone answer this question for me?: are Jackson and marshall made by the same company? or do like they just have the same font for their names?

  • Completely different, Marshall is British.

Just mere coincidence, but I don't see a resemblance :/

  • No but Fender owns Jackson along with many other smaller companies.

  • If the X series are identical to the originals just with an added feature, why not discontinue the original 81/85/60? Or simply add the new features to the originals? The promo so far seems to indicate that there would be no reason to choose a vanilla pickup over an X version, so why offer both...

  • Price and that some people would rather get the sound from an 81/85/60 instead of the X series. If Danelectro still can get good business, than I.M.O. almost anythin old fashioned will stay.

  • Stupid comment.

That's like BK discontinuing the whopper after releasing new burger.

  • Or Mesa discontinuing the Bass 400+ because they released new solid-state bass amps...oh wait, THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

    Idiot.

  • So I'm an Idiot because you use an only slightly relevant argument?

People will always want EMGs because of the sound they give.

They are just releasing the same EMGs with an addition. Removing items that have a good market because you release something new is the stupidest thing you can do.

  • Ha ha that's what I thought.

  • Play something!
