My unclewent to school with these guys. They were originally called breed butanther band called breed were going to charge for copyright .. So one of he band members had a previous job with the number 77 involved. That's why they called it breed 77

They were originally going to be called 'Kilo 77' (no idea what the 77 means, but it's pronounced 'seven seven'), but the Kilo part was copyrighted. One of the members used to be in a band called 'Breed' so they put them together as 'Breed 77 [seven seven]'

The Breed part originally comes from the fact that when they moved to london they felt like they were a small gang of outsiders i.e. a breed of their own coz they are from Gibraltar/Barcelona
