Actually Norah Jones is her real name. She was born Geetali Norah Jones-Shankar, but officially dropped Shankar later. She barely knew her estranged father who left her at only 4. She has been all her life in Texas, raised by single mother Sue Jones. Now that she is famous everyone hints at her father's name but actually he has nothing to do with her career.

Nevertheless it seems that thanks to Anoushka her relationship with her Dad improved these times.

Norah is part of a musical dynasty, and she is easily the most famous and well known artist in her family. It is good to hear this song with her half sister Anoushka. Mad though ain't it. Norah is completely different to the sound and style of her relatives. She is fated to be either the greatest female singer/songwriter of all time, or the greatest female singer/songwriter of all time, to not be fully appreciated by the world. It is her choice and if she can handle the impending fame.
