This is cool to watch but it is not being played by anyone. First of all the score says only 29000 during the level with the grey statues with the purple tongues. That is well into the game. The score would be much higher if you didn't die. Also, in this level there is a cliff and have to duck under and then stand up and jump over the blue flame. Here you see aurthur just walking right by the cliff without being knocked off. Impossible.

Wow - some nice skills there! I finished it for the first time yesterday (twice through). I'm pretty confident with the game now - more so than I ever thought I could be as a kid (20p a go in the arcades was pretty expensive when you don't know the game!).

Prince of Camden, you Sir are so right. On too many occasions do the baddies 'hit' out eponymous hero here but with no effect. Quite blatantly an invincibility cheat here. Not so impressive any more really. In fact, rather easy.

hmm...i was a little concerned he was TOO good as well...but for judgement sake point out some times e.g 1:52,5:34 etc. when he gets hit..

The game mechanics allow you to touch certain enemies by a small margin. eg, rock turtles and the green maggots on the giant maggot boss. Also the reapers you see him touch have not fully come out of the ground, these are also touchable at that point. However the snakes on the maggot boss you can't touch, and he doesn't. Having played this version of the game maybe a thousand times and also the arcade version over one hundred times, you might say I'm an expert, he did a great job.

I have played the game quite extensivly myself, and although the player is very good, he clearly gets hit several times.

There's no question that he's using an invincible cheat

If you watch Part 2 of 2, he gets hit by the Wasp boss[8:30] and loses his armor. But at [4:41} as someone else pointed out he does not duck under a rock that does cause a hit. Actually the rock face just before that he touches which would also cause a hit. There's definitely cheating going on here, without a doubt.

The rock in part 2 at 4:41 is in the background, it's the fire you need to jump over.

There's a bug with that particular rock, I've died countless times with full armor on because I didn't duck under that particular rock formation. It's happened to me on arcade, SuperGFX PCE version, and on the Genesis version. It actually can kill you.

my game glitches ocasionally... at the start i find a sword and pick it up and it lets me do my special w/o magic armor
