I suppose the quality of mac is that everything looks good, however everything else performs in a subpar manner. The only useful part of a mac is to use it for design purposes and even in that department you might as well use a normal PC with Windows... Mac has less compatibility with games and programs all together, there's just no point whatsoever in using it.

@roboneko77 m8 valve was not porting steam to mac. steam just compile is own version of "wine" (search on Google) to run pc applications and directX calls on OpenGL environment like Linux, as well Mac is kinda linux so is nothing new...

I think in that sense they used some kind of WINE to pre-translate most of the calls, but are still using something like WINE to indeed translate some fewer calls for the most efficiency or compatibility. In that sense I still think it's ported though.
