That's not neccesarily true. When Warner Brothers announced that Season 5 would be the last in the series, there was an uproar with the fans, and they made petition to keep the show but sadly, to no avail :(

what happens to her is explaned in the comic books. And to make the story short she doesnt die but goes underground where she is raised by mole people but remembers the life she use to have with the titans so begs them to let her go back to the mortal world but the side affect to that was she wouldnt remember anything
