  • I have the vinyl too!! Isn't it wonderful we had great music that we grew up with?

  • I found myself inadvertently playing the intro and verse chords to this tonight on my keyboard. I'd like to know what the rest of the chords are.

  • Che infanzia con Gino

  • amazing

  • OMG!!!! I haven't heard this cut in decades! I believe it was this album that introduced me to Gino. Not a bad cut on it. In fact, there's not a bad cut on any of his albums.

  • the best of the best!!!!!!

  • Love this guy.. who was his drummer on this album? great music!!

    thanks for the post

  • @johninis You're welcome. Gino is the musicians musician and the brilliant drummer is Casey Scheuerell.

  • Thanks so much. What a treat. Haven't heard this song since the 70s in high school. Just great music.

  • @Relayer77 Glad you like it! This is my era too! ;D

  • thank you for posting this!! I have missed it so much. I have loved this since I first heard it when I was a teenager - had the album on 8 track and I wore it out lol :) Thanks again!!!

  • @lochaine62 You're welcome! I still have the vinyl but it's very worn! ; )

  • @mancmuso1 J'ai également le vinyle mais passé à la moulinette (Turntable ION) je l'ai sauvegardé en CD trop beau ! Je ne m'en lasse jamais!

  • The beat reminds me of a swing going rhythmically back and forth...three songs come to mind that have this exact sound (beginning with the familiar piano chord):

    This song

Hot Fun in the Summer Time by Sly & the Family Stone

    Hold The Line by Toto

    :o)

  • If you dig this sound, make sure you check out 2 other masterpiece records. "Gist of the Gemini" and "Storm at Sunup" these along wth Pauper, are THE classic Gino albums.

  • i just heard this recently in my dad's album collection.i love gino vannelli's music..the voice, the synths and the drums are just my taste..i would love to know what keyboards he used..is the third movement of pauper in paradise on youtube?

  • Great song!

  • Anne Louise loves Louisiana!

  • thanks to your uploads/shares, you have converted me into a Gino fan. Unfortunately where I grew up, he was not in the FM radio rotation, other than the popular songs, but a significant talented artist that needs to be remembered and enjoyed. ;.)

  • Desde La Paz, Bolivia, saludos a todos los seguidores del gran italocanadiense Gino Vanelli. Acá en las alturas también conocemos a este virtuosos de la música con temas como Wildest Horses o Wheels of Life.

  • No one before or since could create an amazing sound this. If sexiness was a sound, it would sound like this. Gino had such a unique sound from 74-81.

I am a musician, inspired by Gino whose is the musical contemporary of Stevie W. Sting, Donald Fagen, Sade, Pat Metheny. The giants of Pop/Jazz/Rock. Thanks Mary.

  • @glennbo72 i couldn't agree with you more..guys like gino, wakeman, and emerson made me really want to learn to play the keyboard..I also play drums too and gino has a great drummer as well.
