That tractor bring back memories when we had one YEARS ago (now I'm dating myself but...)
I did notice one thing. When you cranked the engine over, you had your thumbs in the wrong spot. Back in them days many of guys broke their thumbs when they put the thumb "around" the crank instead of placing it with the rest of the fingers. If the engine should kick back when you have your thumb around the crank, you could very well break them.
Thanks for letting me know that i don't have alot of knowledge about cranking or about this tractor but it does have a spring on the crank and everytime a crank it over i try to let the spring do its job and push the crank out. It's a pretty strong spring. But thanks for the advice. This is just my parade tractor im looking at a wd for work in the field/garden. Thanks again for watching.
No problem. Glad to help out. I'd rather say something about it instead of you finding out for yourself. I seen it happen to one guy and it layed his thumb right against his wrist. Not good at all.
The spring helps to "throw" the crank out when the engine starts. But sometimes even then there is a chance that it will "get stuck". The old Wisconsin V-4's with mags were really noted for kicking back.
Other wise, enjoy your tractor and thank you for showing it.
I need a fairbanks mag for it. It has a IHC mag on it now.. my dad put it on there since the old Fairbanks was shot. New video comingup of the tractor pulling out my 4-Wheel Drive. Pretty funny.. Wish i had my Front drive shaft done. I sent it off for it to get milled some. It was messed up.
Yes it is but it has the wrong motor i am told. They tell me it has a wd45 enging in it im not to sure had the tractor given to me. Dont know much about it. Thanks for watchin i will be making more videos of it soon.
i have the wide front model, WF but ibelive it is an industrial model. it has a grill guard and heavy front rims. unfortunatly its long past salvageable!
