stars are pretty difficult to freehand - i suggest getting a star-shaped cookie cutter and LIGHTLY pressing it into your buttercream to create an outline for yourself. Then you can fill it in with the star-fill. congrats on your first cake - its only gets more and more fun!!
Culinary classes sound like so much fun! Are they hard? The cake is adorable! :)
