  • Were they good or what!

  • Here's The Who for me:

    -Pete Townshend:one of the greatest rock composer ever and a musical genius;

    -Roger Daltrey:charisma,voice,appeal,energy;

    -John Entwistle:probably the best rock bass player of all-time;

-Keith Moon:a storm behind the drums, furious, unstoppable, crazy, funny.

  • i think Zac did a good job and yes i know that the monster showed him how to play the drums

  • @gurudev91

    lol no

  • bruce dickenson of maiden standing up applauding at 1.39.21 loving it !!!!

  • @MrDrummerpony he has good tastes in music.

  • @gurudev91 what?

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gurudev91 technically he may not be up there but he is a great songwriter and has such energy in live performance. He makes classic rock n roll. Steve Vai is technically fantastic but let's be honest his music isn't easy on the ear for most people.

  • @gurudev91 You what?!

    Sarcasm alert I hope!

  • Eddie Vedder!? No shit! That's awesome! Best performance of I'm One I've ever heard!

  • magic bus blow my mind

  • what you hear HERE couldn't touch it, nowhere near

  • saw them at RIVERFRONT COLOSEUM ( SAME venue that they played a year later when MOON was dead and all those kids were crushed to death) ...anyway MOON was STILL alive and they were at their peak and sounded like it..I walked out after 45 minutes because of a splitting headache that lasted 3 days and a hearing disability that lasted as long....INCREDIBLE VOLUME...FANTASTIC MUSICIANS...they were ON that night....BEST CONCERT AND BAND I've EVER seen...HANDS DOWN

  • They were over 50 by the time and they made almosttwo and half hours of show.

    Oh. My. Fucking. God.

  • orgasm for my eyes

  • pete rocks in can't explain

  • who can tell me the song in 0:41:00

  • @Ryuzaki288 magic bus

  • In 5:15 John could have said: "ok, step aside guys: let me show you how it's done."

  • Grandad power! These old motherfuckers rock the shit out of new generations.

  • big world loss, john

  • great upload.the studio version of "Real Me"-it's moonie and the ox punching it out w/body blows and face punches.what'd they do here, turn down the ox's bass?zack holds his own, john's fingers are lighting speed but what little bass you can hear sounds pretty limp.almost no bass at all here..is this the townsend solo version?lol...one of my fave who songs btw.

  • Weeeeeee!... This is good!

  • I love how Townshend uses a pick for the slow acoustic stuff, yet fingerpicks his awesome solos. I'm not bad at fingerpicking, but I sure as hell never thought of using that technique for fast, electric solos. Mark Knopfler does the same thing. Fantastic

  • WHAT THE FUCK. John Entwislte just killed my every hope of ever becoming a good bass player. That was just unbelieveable. I just don't understand. He's like the Freddie Mercury of the bassguitar. Sorry for my English.

  • Great concert! I found the 2 DVD set at Winn Dixie with the $6.99 movies! Christmas came early for me this year! Very cool for mstrsail to upload it here.

  • I can't remember a live cut of Towshend that showed him better on guitar. The boys were on this night.

  • John Entwhistle. Oh my Gosh.

  • 7 people WILL get fooled again.

  • Bunch of talent! I wonder how it could have been when Keith Moon was behind the drums.

  • just insane, what energy!

  • BRILLIANT UPLOAD ...thanks!

  • I've never seen a video with two "top comments" that I love more than this one.

  • John Entwistle is the BEST bass player EVER hands down

  • Totally sexy Rog <3

  • Kick ass on the harmonica during Magic Bus Rog!!!! <3

  • Those 7 people that did like this video are just saying that to piss every one off... you can´t not like this.

  • I saw Roger and Simon in Austin and it was an incredible show. It's a shame John lost his voice - he contributed a lot to the harmonies in the early days but after Who's Next it seems like he wasn't able to sing his own tunes. RIP

  • I saw Roger Daltrey perform Tommy in Hartford Ct. with Simon Townshend and let me tell you Daltrey can still bring it. That concert was the best I've ever seen. (And to make this comment complete John's solo nearly made my head explode and Pete's riffs were incredible as well)

  • there will never ever be a band as great as these guys ever again!!!

  • 1:39:19 That's Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden! Cool.

  • Make no mistakes, John Entwhistle runs this shit.

  • @Adam12088 - John EnTwistle is THE most awesome bass player in the history of the world by far and without a doubt but it's kinda silly to say he is running this shit tho maybe your right .

  • @Adam12088 John is the bassmaster!

  • @Adam12088 id go further........johns performance here surely will go down as one of the most outstanding of all time......no matter when it is reviewed.the man was a genius and is so badly missed.a textbook lesson in bass and rythmic melodic expertise.stunning.!!!!!!!!

  • still rock.

  • Man I could play that bass solo in my sleep. Granted, id be dreaming and anything is possible then...

  • I was there 10 rows back best concert i have ever been to

  • I can't explain why pete quit playing les pauls.... oh well

  • @Polybun You ever tried to play a Les Paul for two hours? They weigh a tonne.

  • @THEPUNISHER1968 I do, and my double cut standard only weighs 7lbs. They aren't that heavy.

  • Does anybody know the year of the performance?

They are in fucking good condition! :-)

  • @ZuzanaHulova "2008. was a charity thing for teaching disabled kids i think.

  • @THEPUNISHER1968 But John Thunderfingers Entwistle, who was 6 years dead in 2008, played at this performance :-)

  • @THEPUNISHER1968 No they were playing for TCT Teenage Cancer Trust....Roger Daltrey is very much involved....

  • @ZuzanaHulova 2000

  • did i just sit here for 2 hours?

  • @MrWoodstokcs nooo, but 2 and a half yes..

  • This was when they were still fully on. Roger's voice is in place, too. I love it.

  • 40:55 Oh Snap

  • Lead singer looks like Hasslehoff.

  • people ALWAYS clap off-beat, it's nuts. It's amazing to me how many people don't have rhythm.

  • @ralphredimix It's mostly white people that clap off beat. I'm not racist but I've played in front of hundreds of audience in my short life time so far and I notice if I perform in front of black people the clap is dead accurate. Just reporting the facts!

  • @ralphredimix It's mostly white people that clap off beat. I'm not uneccessarily prejudice but I've played in front of hundreds of audience in my short life time so far and I notice if I perform in front of black people the clap is dead accurate. Just reporting the facts!

  • @ralphredimix @ralphredimix It's mostly white people that clap off beat. I'm not unnecessarily prejudice but I've played in front of hundreds of audience in my short life time so far and I notice if I perform in front of black people the clap is dead accurate. Just reporting the facts!

  • Daltrey still looks like he could kick your ass.

  • There's always 7 idiots... This whole performance was sheer brilliance!

  • If I'm thinking correctly, this was John's final concert, wasn't it? Or was this the 2000 RAH show?

  • 1:16:0 The Jam and the Who..... this is amazing!!

  • los quienes

  • Thumbs Up if you wanted to be there!

  • they are all fantastic and even better with age and starkey is the perfect replacement for keith or as close as you can get.

does anyone know if this is available on DVD?

  • @noodledwarf yes it is available on DVD, found a copy in a store in wellington nz.

  • they are all fantastic and even better with age and starkey is the perfect replacement for keith or as close as you can get.

  • MORE JOHN!!!

  • i wish they would've sung songs from their album "it's hard"

  • Daltrey sounds a helluva lot better than Jagger. Same as always.

  • EXPLOSIVE OPENING LOVE IT

  • Thanks for posting. Unbelievable, did 5 people really dislike this? U gotta be kidding me. This concert is f*cking amazing. I have the concert dvd, it is mind blowing.

  • @jjp4mma do people really get this befuddled about 5 people on the planet having a different opinion about music? maybe they were groupies still pining for Moon to fill them out like an application and they're bitter that he is dead?

    Who knows?

  • @nichobert Well, I think that anyone who likes rock music & respects musicians with talent, would like this concert. If you look at each member of this band, they are all EXCELLENT. There are certain types of music I don't really like, but I can still respect and appreciate the talent of the artist.

  • THE BEST OF THE WHO WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL

  • AAAAWWWSSSSOOOOMMMMEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jesus fucking christ this never ceases to blow my fucking mind.

  • pete townshend looks like werner herzog

  • @shaggymattrocks but,Bryan run to you arse basket getting him on stage is blowing yer cool. Releasing Endless Wire was another. God help the Who

  • This is just...amazing...it's like music from heaven itself. Thankyou so much for uploading this.

  • who is their drummer ?

  • @alban020587 zak starkey. he's ringo's son and was taught how to play by keith moon himself.

  • @alban020587 his name is zak starkey you may know his father ringo starr

  • that was probably the best show they put on since the quadrophenia tour in 1996!!

  • 5 people are Bieber's fans

  • @65maxo

Who The Fuck Is Justin Bieber

  • Crime:Rape

    Victim: Replay button

  • I can't believe how some people think the Beatles are better than this

  • @BrazilRacer because they are

  • Comment removed

  • @BrazilRacer I thumbed you down, why do you even have to bother to mention their names on a video like this, thet lame joke became boring the day it was created

  • @Emmett1991 Ok, next time keep your opinion to yourself

  • @BrazilRacer

    no, he is right.

    1. there is nothing funny about those stupid number of dislikes jokes

    2. there is no good reason for mentioning these stupid artists in a video like this

  • great show

  • " GET ON WITH IT "

    PETE - "FUCK OFF "

  • 5 peoples don´t known good rock´n´roll!

  • "Who are you" sounds almost exactly the record. Fucking fantastic!

  • "If I had a thousand quid for every time I've announced this... Oh, I have!" love you, John.

  • thank goodness bass strings are as thick as they are with John's solo....they needed to be strong enough to hold up a bridge if it only be that of a few seconds...good god John!

  • John Alec 'Thunderfingers' Entwistle had to die, cause God urgently wanted to learn playing bass guitar!

  • @TheLordofthecakes i guess he wanted drum lessons before then. thats why we lost moonie.

  • @TheLordofthecakes You just made me smile. :)

  • @TheLordofthecakes That is lovely.

  • @TheLordofthecakes oh so right!

  • I photographed The WHo twice in 1976 in Canada and Switzerland. I invite you to see the photographs by going to ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • Baba O'Reilly with Nigel Kennedy had tears in my eyes at the end, fucking incredible , if only Monnie was there too, but Zak is the only Drummer fit to sit on Moonies throne !

  • 4 dumbasses who don't understand real music

  • thank you

    they look so young here

  • notice how the audience, on pinball wizard, dont notice which song is coming until 15 seconds after it started?

or were they just immobilized by its greatness?

  • Best 2:30 hours of music i have heard in a long, long time

  • Cancel everything for 2 and a half hours and press play!!!

  • No band from the '60s rock as hard, with as much conviction, attitude and power, into the new millenium as the Who. Or even rock bands from the '70s, '80s or '90s. So many people were sad and dissapointed when Led Zeppelin didn't tour after their one-shot reunion at the O2 Arena ... Robert, Jimmy and John Paul must have seen their peers in the Who, and knew they'd look ridiculous in comparison. Not even close.

  • @ChimpAflame agreed with your statement but one thing on my other favorite band zeppelin, they won't tour because robert plant has ego problems iwth jimmy page that is fucking retarded but you are right if they toured along with the who, they would still blow them out of the fucking water

  • One problem with this concert too short!

  • 4 men are sons of bithces.

  • Comment removed

  • i really hate noel gallagher. really. badass guitarist

  • 7:14

  • best part is from 0:00:00 to 2:21:13

  • @FranWolvy Check out this band, SUPERLUNGS, who I saw playing a gig with Roger Daltrey! On Brighton Seafront! They are amazing!

    /watch?v=xwKewjd1DD4&feature=related

  • @FranWolvy

    Well said !

  • Pete Townshend. The only guy who can still rock out in a sports jacket and a pair of slacks.

  • thank you, mstrsail!

  • pete townshend 4 president!

  • Entwistle was a god, his hands look like a spider, he makes that bass his bitch R.I.P

  • this is a great video. the who are still the best band around. they still kick ass even in 2011.

  • these old men are not old there merely young men in old mens bodys....THE WHO FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • why is the bassist like an outsider???? :O

  • @Istvifi the bassist, john entwistle, was the most crucial member of the who. without him, they cant nearly be called the who. john entwistle always stood alone, never moving xd so cool xd

  • @Istvifi John was the eye of the hurricane called The Who. He didn't need a stage presence. His sonic assault let you know he was there.

  • love this

  • great !

  • 41:30

  • Amazing - always behind the Beatles & Stones, but #3 in the entire catalogue of Rock & Roll bands ain't too bad!

Great songs & great musicianship - the keyboards & drummer filll-ins are top notch musicians. I saw The Who in Leicester, England, 1974 - more that 30 years on, they still kick ass

This is a great concert with power & showmanship of a fantastic catalogue of songs....

  • Great show, thanks for posting!

I just didn't like how they called Bryan Adams to sing 'Behind Blue Eyes', that's one of the songs I love the most(when Roger sings it).

  • A reminder of all the elements of talent, gift, musicianship, human emotion, and the essence of being alive. THE WHO!!!!

  • 1:39:18 Bruce Dickinson?

  • @Niccolas9 sure was!

  • De pie señores !! Aplaudan aplaudan no dejen de aplaudir....

  • Comment removed

  • THNKS

  • YE LOVE IT

  • omg haha i didn't no that

  • they end their concert like a rockband..with feedback :D OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG GEEESSSEEBUMMPESSSSIESSSSS!!!

  • one tune is missing as far as i can hear...getting in tune,,vocale eddie vedder

  • 4 people don´t know the meaning of rock´n roll

  • Oh my god i got chills! Thats just brilliant!!!! I LOVE THE WHO!!!!

  • fuck yeah one of the greatest concerts ive ever seen

the only way it may have been better would have been if keith was there with them however zak starkey did a great job on the drums

    The Who Rule !!!

  • It's amazing how much they've changed in ten years. Roger could hardly sing at the Super Bowl, which is really too bad, because his voice was once amazing.

  • John's solo on 5:15 changed my life I swear. 10 years of trying to be Jaco and NOW I play like I wanto to (and annoy the guitarsits, which is always an achievement ;) )

RIP JAE, we miss you dammit!

  • THE BEST I EVER HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.

  • so awesome The Real Me, 515, and Won't Get Fooled Again. my 3 favorite Who songs in a row!!!!

  • not bad for geezers

  • @sydferret r u like fuckn retarded?!?!?! the Who is amazing and have always been amazing and no matter how old they get, they'll FUCKN RULE!!!!

  • @SuperJewTV1 I saw AC/DC (with Bon Scott) open for The Who at Wembley in '79 and several times since. it takes one to know one.
