@gurudev91 technically he may not be up there but he is a great songwriter and has such energy in live performance. He makes classic rock n roll. Steve Vai is technically fantastic but let's be honest his music isn't easy on the ear for most people.
saw them at RIVERFRONT COLOSEUM ( SAME venue that they played a year later when MOON was dead and all those kids were crushed to death) ...anyway MOON was STILL alive and they were at their peak and sounded like it..I walked out after 45 minutes because of a splitting headache that lasted 3 days and a hearing disability that lasted as long....INCREDIBLE VOLUME...FANTASTIC MUSICIANS...they were ON that night....BEST CONCERT AND BAND I've EVER seen...HANDS DOWN
great upload.the studio version of "Real Me"-it's moonie and the ox punching it out w/body blows and face punches.what'd they do here,turn down the ox's bass?zack holds his own, john's fingers are lighting speed but what little bass you can hear sounds pretty limp.almost no bass at all here..is this the townsend solo version?lol...one of my fave who songs btw.
I love how Townshend uses a pick for the slow acoustic stuff, yet fingerpicks his awesome solos. I'm not bad at fingerpicking, but I sure as hell never thought of using that technique for fast, electric solos. Mark Knopfler does the same thing. Fantastic
WHAT THE FUCK. John Entwislte just killed my every hope of ever becoming a good bass player. That was just unbelieveable. I just don't understand. He's like the Freddie Mercury of the bassguitar. Sorry for my English.
Great concert! I found the 2 DVD set at Winn Dixie with the $6.99 movies! Christmas came early for me this year! Very cool for mstrsail to upload it here.
I saw Roger and Simon in Austin and it was an incredible show. It's a shame John lost his voice - he contributed a lot to the harmonies in the early days but after Who's Next it seems like he wasn't able to sing his own tunes. RIP
I saw Roger Daltrey perform Tommy in Hartford Ct. with Simon Townshend and let me tell you Daltrey can still bring it. That concert was the best I've ever seen. (And to make this comment complete John's solo nearly made my head explode and Pete's riffs were incredible as well)
@Adam12088 - John EnTwistle is THE most awesome bass player in the history of the world by far and without a doubt but it's kinda silly to say he is running this shit tho maybe your right .
@Adam12088 id go further........johns performance here surely will go down as one of the most outstanding of all time......no matter when it is reviewed.the man was a genius and is so badly missed.a textbook lesson in bass and rythmic melodic expertise.stunning.!!!!!!!!

-Roger Daltrey:charisma,voice,appeal,energy;
-John Entwistle:probably the best rock bass player of all-time;
-Keith Moon:a storm behind the drums,furious,unstoppable,crazy,funny.
