I just figured the duck rider didn't know the road like the Wingerstud. It's easier to let some who knows the road lead and keep up, barging into an unknown corner is best done at less then 100% of one's abilitys. I like to leave enough room to crash softly if needed. If you only rode to the sight line it wouldn't be much fun, but how far past is the question. Really knowing a road is such and advantage, I'd like to know that one real well.
There is no question this person can handle the bike. Unfortunately, they are so narcissistic that they do not consider the dangers they present to other road uses and they set a really bad example for other motorcyclists. There the ones that make other people hate motorcyclists.
dude, relax. some of us can handle riding a motorcycle better than others.
lean angle doens't have much to do with danger.
the danger comes from someone tha is scared.
they aren't even going that fast anyway.
40-50mph in the corners tops. the goldwing can't physically go beyond 40 anyway. that's why he drops off so much and has to do over 60 to catch the other guy.
when I first saw this video it was put to the chillipeppers music .. it was great .. the fair use plan says as long as it is used for entertainment and not for profit as long as you give credit you can use the music ... i just wish i could ride this well ... Yellowwolf, your an awesome rider ...
I was suprized to find out the camera bike was a goldwing. Nice riding for a large heavy machine. I love riding the twisties and I ride ducati. Ride safe.
Who's the douchelord taking the giant truck with trailer down the dragon? Are ya lost buddy, or are you getting paid to be an obstacle? I've seen too many of those things oozing into my lane up there...
I enjoyed the music. The wind noise drowns out the sound of the bikes anyway. I know what you mean about the sound of scraping metal and the engine song at rpm or wot.
Wonderful riding skills, wonderful road! I particularly liked the slight slowdown around 4:50 in when the THP were heading the other way. ;^D They would never have caught either of you anyway, but I'm sure they "know" Yellow Wolf when they see him. 8^0 ... Sorry to hear about the loss of his friend. Keep them shiny side up.
Yellow Wolf ROCKS! I have enjoyed watching a couple of his videos, excellent! The duc is a different machine. The duc rider had to pace himself to keep himself in the camera. I have a ST2 duc and I know Yellow Wolf wold put me to shame there... I hope to make there someday soon. Ride safe....
The haters apparently don't know d##k! Clearly that ducati rider is used to riding Deals Gap at much faster speeds and he's simply adapting to a slower pace for the goldwing to keep up and film. It's way too easy to spot because he's having most issues entering turns which is far different timing then at his normal higher speeds. It's like learning the road all over again.
LOL.. crotch rockets are expensive, and uncomfortable.. . so whats your point.. everyone should ride YOUR bike.. COME ON DUDE. Try, riding your crotch rocket for 600 miles straight.... YEAH.. that what I thought.
There is a reason why there are hunderes of different model bikes.. cause not everyone wants the same thing.
Not all sport riders-most are I'll give you that but not all are short distance riders. I rode my '04 R1 from here on Long Island NY to Tulsa Oklahoma to visit an old ARMY buddy-then we went to Missouri for the 4th then back to Oklahoma then I rode home after 2 weeks there. In the 2 weeks I put on 3,500 miles. Had that bike for 2 1/2 years and traded it in a year and a half ago with 27k on it and now my 07 has 17k on it so some of us go a ways but ur right different strokes 4 different strokes
ok some facts,,,the duck guy is way faster than me and some times riding slower is way harder than you think, second this was not a race or the vid would have been of an empty road,,,,,and most important the vid was for his friend that was killed the day before and i would be ashamed if i made the comments some did here, thaks for posting dude!!!!
Looked like the Ducati could check out when it wanted to. But that 999cc V-twin helps too(Plus not weighing as much as a miata). Either way both of you have mad riding skillz and would own me on my 600.
2sundays ago I was htere for my first time and almost highsided at the turn around 5:48. Can't wait to go back.
Can someone tell me what country this is taken in? It might just be my imagination, but it looks very much like a place in California, called 4 Corners. It's a lovely redwood forest found between San Francisco, San Mateo and Halfmoon Bay California.
My ex-boyfriend and I (of 12 years) used to ride their often, nearly every weekend.
@laughs422 On the North Carolina border. The place you're talking about is is Skyline which runs the ridge of the peninsula from San Fran to the Ze. Love riding that road. Also loved riding the Gap as well.
I would like to know wolf. What kind of hwy pegs are you using, because some goldwing ridders wreck using the wrong pegs leaning like the way you do? by the way great ridding skills...
That guy on the Ducati is horrible. The Goldwing is so much smoother, but then again he is one of the better riders out there. He should bump the rear tire on that 999s and get it on film. ha ha
i' ve already seen this vid on google vid...BEAUTIFUL VID, BEAUTIFUL BIKES AND BEAUTIFUL STREET!!! i' d like to rike my bike in that street one day in my life but i' m afraid i can' t :(
The Wolf is great. If you get a chance to speak to him take the time and chat, he can ride. The guy on the Duc is slow. Nothing like being slow on a 30,000 bike. I live to race those guys. If you go stay in your lane. At least he is dragging his knee!!!!
damn whats with this dude crossing yellow? Major props on the ridding yabba. thats sick to see that kinda ridding on a goldwing

I have filmed this way myself, and it's hard for the person leading to match speeds with the camera-bike (and vice-versa).
That's why you sometimes see the leader take odd lines, and occasionally seem slow.

Rode a cruiser for 13 years, my 04zx6r is miles more comfortable to me than any other bike I have yet ridden.
Your right about different bikes for different people, we are all built differently and have different tastes.
Take some of your own advice ;)
