I lived in this area for 9 months I now live in Colorado in the mountain but I really do miss Portland the people are so cool and you really do get use to the rainy days.
The rain is overrated. The people who complain about it the most are the ones who don't live here. Even on rainy days there are sunny breaks throughout the day. Even when it rains we still go out and do stuff.
nah it's more sporadic, i was there from august 05 thru may 2nd 06 and i remember it starting to get bad in november, and late march and april having a good number of dry days. it didn;t rain all day every day, more like 20 min at a time

How much does it really rain there ? When it rains...does it rain ALL DAY, or half a day ? Do people get a lot of WET newspapers there ?

pretty much late september till early june. non stop, maybe weeks at a time. but then in summer there is no rain at all and everything catches fire!
