  • When I try to install the program. It doesn't open, I try to open it with winzip and run as adminstrator. How do I open the program so I can start making beats? I would appreciate a quick answer!

  • @DJWPac you need to have Java installed in order to run Mixblendr. No installation is necessary, just download the file, unzip it and open it to run it.

  • mixblendr is free and you can get it at mixblendr[dot]com. unfortunately it doesn't support mp3 due to licensing issues. it doesn't separate music from vocals, and saving is not yet supported. the desktop version is only in alpha so there are still bugs, if you'd like to help us improve mixblendr, join our developer's mailing list (link in the video description).

  • Is this free?

  • I wish i could export as mp3 like audacity.

  • does it seperate music from vocals?

  • how do you save what youve just made ?

  • after i convert the music, can i save it as a mp3 or other format?

  • @GLAARMYOFJESUS Mixblendr doesn't support mp3 conversion, but you can convert to mp3 with other software.

  • i cant drag the music from mix blender

  • @ravatheman - look on our site at /competition to try it out and /downloads to get the software.

@ElyonNinja - you can download the tracks on mixblendr, and you can also get many more legal tracks on sites like ccmixter and jamendo

  • hey where can i get thiss??

  • how can i get tracks?????

  • It installed I see it, but it doesn't let me add the songs...

  • are you using the web-based version or the desktop version? for the desktop version, you just drag the tracks directly into the mixer, but keep in mind, mp3s are not supported (only .wav and .ogg)

  • Desktop version...and yes my audio's are mp3, therefore I will convert them. Thanks

  • I've converted to wav and it still doesn't work.

  • maybe because the Itunes songs are encoded and only for mp3 players, not for editing

  • im gonna do a mashup of nothing else matters and tha crossroads

  • the link doesnt work it just takes me to some other website i even googled it and all the results take me to that website hosting webiste thing

  • sorry - we're switching servers. it should be back up momentarily.

  • its back up now. sorry about the downtime.

  • fuckin sick songs

  • i can't drag my songs and i can't find the add songs. woooh!!

  • are you using the desktop version or the web version? keep in mind that due to licensing issues, mp3s are not supported.

  • I cannot sync or upload custom tracks to the desktop version? I mean how am I supposd to make a remix of something if it doesn't have an upload or anything? And it's not installed I noticed just a 'ran' program.....

  • you can drag audio files directly into the mixer, just like the web version. please note that currently it only supports .wav and .ogg files, not mp3s. its a java app, which is why it doesn't need an installer.

  • OK is the desktop version out yet? I really need to know.....

  • Does anyone know when 'exactly' is the desktop ver. coming out? I'm enthralled about the release, can't wait....

  • HOW THE HELL DO YOU INSTALL THIS PROGRAM ON MY 'PC'?!?!?! LIKE 'FRUITY LOOPS' FOR EXAMPLE? IF I CAN'T THEN SCREW THIS PROGRAM.... x(

  • Hi reaprzro - as noted on the site, the current version of mixblendr is not desktop software, it is for web developers to install on a website. There will be a desktop version that you can download and run on your PC coming very soon.

  • There's so many songs I wish to 'remix' because of the simple I want to be a 'mixer'. I also hope it's not just a MAC program. How soon is the desktop version?

  • The alpha desktop version (it will have the same features as the web version) will be out within a couple of weeks. It will work on Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

  • Couple weeks eh? OK cool. Thanks. Can't wait.

  • This site is amazing!
