  • Thanks for uploading these! Awesome album!

  • ~ Victory Not Vengeance ~

  • Reminds me of the great Men Without Hats.

  • But in all honesty, they changed my life. That first time they turned up the song gets heavier knob on the default VNV bass patch made me believe. Believe in the GLORY of HONOR and SWORDS! Where would I be without them...

  • I lost my sword, and my honor. But I still have Coven- err, VNV!

  • I lost my cat, my hair and a kidney but VNV was there to pick me up !

  • I lost my job, I lost my love and my family, but thanks God, I still have VNV Nation !

  • It's like listening to god !!!!

  • VNV Nation has helped my life so many time, through the power of God. Thank you VNV and thank you God.

  • VNV is one of my 2nd favorite groups next to Depeche Mode Cheers Gents =)

  • LMAO 3 seconds into the intro I thought VNV were going to bust out with a bad ass version of the Halloween Theme

  • Makes me think of what a loved on would say if they were gone and going into the light of ever after.

  • This band is truly brilliant. It annoys me when people say that electronic music isn't "proper music". Synthesizers are real instruments and even if computer programs are used it doesn't do it all for you, you still have to work at it to get something decent. I use to think that electronic stuff wasn't "proper" but after studying music technology and having to do it myself I found a new respect fot it and the work that actually goes into it, same as other genres :)

  • This song saved my life today. I was considering suicide after a brutal depressive episode because of a recent family tragedy. I will forever owe the friend who showed me this song, and the band that created this beautiful song.

  • F yea!!!!!!!!!!!!! VNV Nation rules!!!!!

  • i went to one of their shows...it was AMAZING! <3 ...loooove this song...its power!

  • i went to one of their shows...it was AMAZING! <3

  • these guys are guids to live and btw friends of mine talk to them they are just as nice and wise as there songs lik modern day budha's

  • I was never a big fan of VNV, my god how much i've missed out on...

  • Saw them here in Toronto - July 2009 - my daughter and I enjoyed the show. Ayria opened for them.

  • This song makes me think of all my happy moment in life!

  • first time I heard this song, they were playing it live (seen them six times)

What an amazing track, by an amazing band!!

  • @duskwolfx

No he most definitely wasn't. You are dramatically misinformed.

  • @duskwolfx Please, get your stories straight before you start spreading nonsense about a loved band.

  • @duskwolfx you do not deserve to have wolf in your name

  • omg such a great track everytime i want 2 buy a new album and i hear new stuff from them i put everything on hold and if you ever go to orlando florida im the one always jamming them on my car

  • nice group ,sorry for the sound

  • Radio friendly :)

  • Greyemotion - hello, no idea where you are from but i seen them when they played Glasgow and they were amazing! Not only that but they were so over-whelmed at the audience and the singer - canny mind his name - just kept grinning and shaking his head, it was electrifying! And they chatted to folk after! So - if you get the chance, go see them, go crazy, give it your all singing and jumping about the songs, they will definetely appreciate you!

  • @TackyFairy I saw them in Glasgow too. What a fantastic gig! They seemed to really enjoy themselves too. We met Ronan (the singer) in the queue in McDonald's after the gig, what a lovely man. He smelled really good for someone who sweated so much on stage.

I second that recommendation, go see them! You won't regret it!

  • i've met them! and have their autograph! They are so awesome!

  • This song makes me reflect on everything that's happened to me. I wouldn't say I've had a particularly turbulent life - no more than most - but it still makes me think about everything I've gone through and how it's affected me. Like others have said, I feel like this song is about a journey. It came up on my mp3 player while I was heading out for my freshman year of college last fall, "saying farewell for one last time" to my home... I thought it was very fitting.

  • This song gave me goosebumps on a hot summers day, so either i had a heat stroke or this is an amazing song.

  • @greyemotion

i completely second that. vnv is an amzing group but their good at making you feel pretty important in a world where theres more negatives than positives. you guys are amazing. no matter how much attackattack, whitechapel, despised icon or any of that hardcore music i listen to, you guys will always be my fave. bar none. ill never stop listening and its cause your music is infinite. never stop making music. vnv = greatest of all time <3

  • i love this tune

  • *Shakes a fist at the person ( Or spammer ) who voted thumbs down*

  • i m french guy..and i discover this band ..ouaaa i love it..unknown in my country (or censured)

  • crossing the divide e.p is coming out on 8th june 2010

  • Love this Song :D

  • one of the best song on VNV!

  • Such a good song and production.

  • I love to listen to this song. Can´t wait to see them live again!

  • On my way to the emergency room. VNV nation always helps... I have a feeling that I'll be listening to them through the worst of the worst.

  • this song is clearly about both of my uncles who served in WWII.That is where they ran into each other, and had not seen each other in 8 years.Great song.

  • Good song.

  • Keep on listening. I realy love there songs too.

If you ever meet them, and I hope so, they are both very kind-hearted ones, don't try to drink with Mark^^

  • hopefully one day i can meet these guys.

vnv helped me through the toughest times of my life.

id probaby be dead now if it wasnt for their messages.

  • that's pretty nice of you to say that...

i'm sure they would love to know that they were able to help you, anyway they could....

    merry christmas

  • I hear you they helped me understand life also.

  • my freind this year i watched them for the 4th time in sheffield england after a few beers we walked to the venue their was this great white bus with berlin plastered on the front it was mr ronan stood at the back

i met my hero chin up mate keep listening greyemotion

  • @greyemotion i jsut discovered they existed hope they help me too XD great band

  • @FabioSalchicha I listened to there music in order of album release..Its a guided journey through emotions within oneself..It make sense now..weather I saw it then or not I guess in retrospect I did..Or I would not have continued buying there music...

  • @greyemotion harsh man ,now old are you?

  • @greyemotion nice to know a band is saving lives and not making people harm themselves

  • @greyemotion If you have a facebook page and you havent already, join VNV Nation fan page...they update as often as they can...you can get tour dates too. They were in NY in March, seen them 4xs already... :)

  • @greyemotion Same, Ronan actually took the time to send me words of encouragement during a difficult time in my life. It really amazes me that someone who doesn't know me, and I'm sure has alot more to do in his day, would take time out of his day to send advice and wishes.

Amazing band, amazing music and amazing guys.

  • @greyemotion Like wise...I saw them once in concert..

  • @greyemotion ive never met them but i knew a gal that partied with them. she told me they are REALLY cool guys, very down to earth, not at all stuck up...just regular kinda fellows like average people, but really intelligent and inspired fellows.

  • @greyemotion, I know dude, they really have a way of percieving the unexplained goodness of life and God

  • @greyemotion Me. Too....

  • what pooh said... and as for this song's particular meaning...I personally think it as looking back on your own choices that made you, you...memories, conflict, experience...it defines you and sometimes you question the means to an end and wonder if your choices were right. Also, one of VNV's best gifts is being general enough to read your own experience into their tapsetry.

  • It might be a stupid question, but what is the "Great divide" referring to?

    I'm not English, y'know...

  • Well a divide is something splitting something in 2 or keeping them apart, like a giant desert between 2 towns would be a divide, or a range of mountains. And of course great would just mean large.

In this particular song, I don't know what it's referring to, too deep for me :), maybe a long journey or something like, all I know is that it's a very beautiful song

  • it's really up to how you feel when you listen to it, but i personally take it to mean some sort of personal journey or great change, something that is scary but at the same time exhilarating.

  • i'm listening to this song tonight....

and sitting back, feeling a tad bit sad...

i keep asking for a smart, intelligent, witty, beautiful (including physical beauty) in a woman, simply for conversation...

and i keep getting *jerked* around...

i don't know who you are...

    but i know this....

    your days are f-u-c-k-i-n-g numbered....

  • You're a fucking psycho. Maybe you can't find a smart, intelligent, witty, beautiful (including physical beauty) woman because you're a fucking douche bag.

  • VNV owns

  • <3<3<3<3<3<3

  • muy buena

y eso q recien lo descubro

  • can't wait for aion

  • awesome. <3

  • This song caught me in 10 seconds and I had to know who it was. That is impressive.

  • e sabato 12 li vado a vedere dal vivo!!!

  • me too and i was just interested by this fuckin nice song

  • very well said

  • me to!

  • Sexy song ive just heard it on a video from Machinima- Aion- The Great Divide

  • Year!!!! THEY ARE BACK! Great Sound!!!!!! 5*

  • Great...great...great, i like it!

  • Good production. I love these synths and melodies. Much better than real instruments.

  • Synthesizers are real instruments. ;)

  • I agree with you. But I know a lot of people who think that this is not 'real music'. Because of the synthesizer sounds and drumcomputers. They think that bands like Pink Floyd and the Dire Straits are the best.

  • Yes, and they evade the fact that music is not defined by how it is performed. :)

And I like Dire Straits btw. ;D

  • Pink Floyd used a lot of synths. :P

  • Yeah, but you understand my point of view! :)

  • @mrtvi46 Fuck yeah they are. Music is just noise put together in harmony. :D

  • @mrtvi46 Fuck yeah they are. Music is just noise put together in harmony. :D

  • My heart is breaking apart

  • Gravegun, not to knock you, but maybe simple that was Ronan's goal, keep it without lots of variations, but I do agree there isnt much, but how cool does it still sound, i mean it VNV

  • Tonight i see them in utah, im so psyched. XD

  • Got to see Ronan perform this life in SF on Monday, it was wonderful

  • "Irony" from Frozen Plasma + "Perpetual" = "The great divide". Sounds quite nice, but there isn't much variation in it and so it's just an average pop and dance number. Best track? Mmmh... I don't think so. The albumis great in general, but this one is a little bit boring if you listened to it several times.

  • amazing...this song is the best on their new album. Love VNV forever!

  • <3 it sounds very La Roux

  • This was, without a doubt, the best track on the album.

  • Am i the only one who thinks that the beginning of this song sounds similar to "Irony" by Frozen Plasma? Anyway great song by one of my favourites electro bands. VNV Nation music is AMAZING!!!

  • It has the same feeling, yeah. Another one of the songs on the album sounds really Apoptygma Berzerk too, albeit the more recent Apop. I like this more than I liked Judgement, but Empires still has the top spot in my book.

  • I was telling a friend that a lot of tracks on the album have an Apop feel to them and we both agreed that this song had an "Irony" feel to it in the beginning. Over all I love the direction VNV went in with this album. The entire album is quite listenable. Glad they have put out such a great collection of songs. Better than the last Depeche Mode record!

  • Effing brilliant.

  • It's amazing, i love VNV!
