I never understood this. In the beginning of Assassin's Creed Altair has the best armor and weapons but he gets denoted to novice and his armor is taken away. In Assassin's Creed II Ezio didn't start out as an assassin and thus had no armor to begin with. In Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Ezio has the best armor from Assassin's Creed II but it gets destroyed by a cannon. And at the beginning of Assassin's Creed Revelations he forgoes Brutus armor for dull grey robes? What?

To me Revelations would be the fourth game in the series and that would mean AC5 is the next installment. Did Ubisoft name the games like Valve: HL2, HL2 E1 and E2? (and hopefully E3)

@EtSturtNummer according to ubisoft every numbered ac game (ac1, ac2, ac3) features a NEW character and setting (altair in ac1, ezio in ac2) so brotherhood and revelations are only extensions to ac2 (ac2.5) so ac3 will have a new ancestor and setting, but will still feature desmond.

Brotherhood and Revelations were an expansion of the story of Ezio like that PSP game (I think it was called Bloodline) was an expansion of the story of Altair. I doubt that though. It seems more like Desmond will be the next main protaganist. I see no reason now for Desmond to get back in the Animus.

The whole point of Assassins Creed is to turn Desmond into a modern day assassin and do crap modern day, which would obviously be how Ubisoft would conclude it.

@Sneak1101 I gotta admit, I liked the combat system in Brotherhood way better. It was extremely fast paced counter wise. In Revelations, I dunno, the counter kills are more violent and slow, it's easier to get hit. Plus I'd take dual hidden blades over the hookblade any day.

@KaniacMonster That's a good theory, but in one of the kills Ezio impales the victim's neck and stomach, and throws him over his shoulder. I've got a feeling it was just to enhance the graphical value of the kills. And I have to admit that is awesome that you kill people so graphically like that, it's just not necessary when there's about twenty others around you about to strike. Perhaps if they used the graphic, slow kills for the last person it would be acceptable...
