I remember watching this as a kid, I have dreamed about this wing since then, I build model planes now and have thought about this many times. Thanks for posting.
@moonraker814 Do we still call this a hang glider?. it is not weight shift but controls I know it is foot launched but this dose not make t a hang glider. weight shift. The pilot dose hang in a frame but, then so dose the pilot of a full size glider only he is more enclosed. Cheers Pete
aparently its spin recovery is very good - requiring nothing more than stick forward and then recovering from the dive - not toomuch height lost in the manouver either.
Would love to get one but would be too scared incase I inadvertently put it into a spin. Is there any chance of a spin recovery in this aircraft of is it just best to avoid stalling it at all costs

@moonraker814 if you google around you'll find a webpage about a guy that made a 1/4 scale model of the swift glider.

What is the biggest advantage towards an ATOS rigid wing?

@Iboxx - the main difference between the two is the position of the pilot - ( supine vs prone ) and the control ( joystick vs weight shift)
