This thing fuckin' sucks. I got my first one, brought it home, dead right out of the box. Just made loud clicking noises and no video/audio at all. Went back and got a 2nd, exactly the same problem. I'm going back rigth now and getting a completely different switch. Don't bother with this product.

ps2 is the type of connection for the keyboard and mouse, not the gaming console

get this one, but use a ps/2 to usb adapter to connect your keyboard and mouse, they are easy to get!

USB/Ps/2 adapters are extremely easy to get. Just buy any Logitech USB mouse. :P

ok will this work for me, i have an imac i want to dual screen my imac with my 22 inch acer monitor and when i switch over i wanna be able ot use my xbox on my acer monitor and swill be able ot switch over to dual screen when i want.. would i need a 2 port or 4 port?

I believe you will need a video splitter with a KVM. Look at ATEN for these, they make both.

i think the "legacy" bit might be a misnomer. I've tried 2 new computers recently (jan 2009) that both had ps/2 mouse AND keyboard connections (altho the included mice were usb)

correction-- one computer didn't and one did... so SOME new computers have ps/2 ports. But still.

nearly all pc's for last 8 years have ps/2 i think what his indicating is that most ppl nolonger use them ports even tho my pc can use ps/2 mouse and keyboard i use a usb 1 since its easier and most mice and keyboards from shops are usb now even tho ps/2 is still fully supported if you look on somwhere like pc world u only find 5 ps/2 keyboards and mice and 30 usb 1's but not your correct most motherboards still have the ps/2 sockets should u wish to use them

My old tech job had them. Computers aren't just for gaming and movies my friend. KVMs can be used in server situations and stuff like that.

I own 2 computers right next to each other one is my regular comp the other is my studio computer for my home based recording. my regular comp plays games music videos etc. etc. the other just my studio software for ideal performance of the computer.
