  • Is that black actor same one who gets striped in that football fighting film from the 80's with Gary Oldman The Firm?

  • nice bulges

  • bleedin ell

  • Heh heh, the height of disaffected youth eh? The Daily Mail was probably furious. They would have used one of those benches to smash in the front window of Currys if it was nowadays.

  • who dies in this one again? its not danny kendall is it?

  • @Jez32uk no danny dies in bronsons car

  • Why was this so controversial back then? All they did was put benches in a pool...

  • Why was this banned?!?!!

  • fat alan is fat.

  • those were the days...

  • @Courts1320 Hehe, did I just get told off? :-/

I can't quite work out why you think I'm being nasty and stuck up about kids. I wasn't having a go at kids. In fact, I wasn't having a go at anybody really.

What I'm saying is that there are many more rules on what a TV channel can and cannot show in kids' programmes now, than back when this was on TV 30 years ago. Scenes of irresponsible behaviour would have to be shown to have bad consequences now. But back then they didn't have to.

  • grass!!

  • if you can remember this scene when it was first screened, you have to be in your 40s right?

  • A day gone by when innocent fun was fun. Racism only existed in the media. For those not around at that time, racism was exagerated and encouraged by the news papers, it did exist but in a small minority similer to today.

Back then you never had to pretend to be some one else to excepted you were who you were.

  • lol at the bitch tits on the fat kid.

  • Truffle Shuffle at 2:14

  • Did somebody say J****h?

  • Does swimming regularly make you grow taller?

  • brilliant how a simple thing like throwing a bench into a swimming pool seems like a fantastic idea when you're that age!

  • fucking snitch!!!

  • They'd never allow this to air in a kids show nowdays! One of them would have to drown and die to justify the scene! Then hours upon hours of moralistic musing about the importance of behaving sensibly.

  • That kid all dressed up posh is creepy.......

  • These kids could show adults in movies a thing or two about acting techniques, even if their acting isn't brilliant - the kid who plays Tucker messes a line up slightly, but instead of going "Ohhh!" with a great big smile then a "sorry", he just carries on

  • fat boy in this video like liam nicholas

  • fat bot in this video look like liam nicholas

  • hahaha - remember when blacks used to have london accents and not fake jamaican accents

  • @straightedgearsonist i remember when white kids in london used to have london accents and not fake jamaican ones

  • didnt mr malcome turn into victor pendlebury in coronation street and ended up having an affair with mavis riley

  • I remember watching this at home when it was first aired and my mother saying "hes not right in the head that lad, theres something wierd about him" that was a reference about justin the kid that looked and acted like he was some sort of transgender type kid

  • When was this filmed ?

  • Goog God its a little Severus Snape

  • ''Lets see Mr Malcolm''

  • Cheeky boy that Tucker is.

  • FLIPPIN' 'ECK TACCKKAAA

  • grange hill was brilliant in those day

  • PACK ET IN TACCKKKAAA!!!

  • Hideous image at 2:17 ;)

  • Was it Alan's breasts?

  • lol

  • Justin would so much get his ARSE kicked if he did that at school today !!!!!!!!

  • That black kid who lost his medal, was he the same person who got his face slashed with a stanley knife in The Firm?

  • yes

  • @xxrobfalconxx was he?!

  • @mastercooly7 from what ive heard, yes he was

  • health and safety wasn't a big issue then?? lol

  • That's nothing, when I was at school mwe once pushed a CAR into a pool.

    True story!

  • Somehow i dont think it is mate.

  • You've obviously never been to Airdrie...

  • How the fuck did you even get a CAR into the hall? Did ye drive it there? hahahahaha

  • The pool had a large set of steel sliding doors in front of it that were wide open as renovation works took place.

One of the guys doing the renovation works had left his car sitting in front of the open doors, so about 7 of us pushed the car into the pool and legged it.

Would never have happened if he'd simply locked his doors before going into the building!

  • Ha Ha, fat kid

  • An absolute classic,GH was better in the 70's & 80's.That kid Justin stinks(orrible grass)

  • WOW! Look at those A-cups.

  • I have'nt seen this scene since i was a child. Was this originally transmitted in 1987?

  • Ang on this ain't the one. Wheres the episode where the boy swam down to get the ring and drowned.

  • I feel strangely reminded of just how much I hated school.

  • todd carty ( tucker ) needs a good big mac meal down him ( lol )

  • No,I think Alan ate Tuckers share of the Big Macs-check out his man boobs-fat cunt

  • I like the way they do their own stunts...no body double for Tucker when they chuck that bench in the pool at him..and then one of them dives over the bench...no way they'd do that now...mind you look at the likes of Frank Spencer on his own rollerskates....

  • BENNY GREEN <3

  • Jesus...

I learned to swim in a pool just like that. I remember those white "floats" too!

  • My Drama Teacher used to be in Grange Hill As Loop wind or somthing.. I'm trying to find an episode with him in xD Plz tell me if u find one! :D

  • Heheheh! Just look at Alan's man-tits!

  • God the Boy in Grey Trunks Is Skinny... So is the Boy in Green

  • who waz the 1 in the green swimming trunks?

  • Oh, this is shocking. Kids will be carrying knives next...

  • lol the fat one

  • Grange hill 70s and 80s were the best :)

And omg Seing Tucker as a youngster again, so wish they would show these as reruns ..

  • Throwing benches into a swimming pool. This, in 1978, was the definition of total anarchy.

  • Didn't the real life teachers kick up a fuss about this one?

  • @Perranporth Yes, you're quite right, Perranporth. As a result, when the first season of Grange Hill was repeated later in 1978, this episode was withdrawn and wasn't seen again until the mid 1990s, when BBC2 started showing on CBBC on Sunday mornings repeats of Grange Hill from the start.

  • I've added that clip as a video response to this one :)

  • Excellent

  • "Swimming pool scene"? I thought you meant when Jeremy went into the swimming pool to retrieve Fay's necklace and suffered a brain embolism.

  • robson's got to-pay, get it ROBSONS GOT A TOUPEE!!!! LOL
