@bluesabar they were all clear cut good vs evil stories, before the 'educate children through cartoons' brigade appeared in the 90's and things like barney the dinosaur and tellytubbies displaced 'proper' cartoons.
I watched through the whole series back in My childhood. I even posses the 1st part of the series and it's weird that they didn't sell the 2nd part online rather than in some uploading form.
I'm so gutted they never finished this series. My brothers and I loved this show and watched it every morning before school. We never understood how we kept missing the end. It was only years later I realised they never finished the show!
I think, "Thundering across the stars to save the Universe from the Monster Minds, Jayce searches for his father to unite the magic route and lead his Lightning League to victory over changing form... of SAW-BOSS" may be the greatest sentence ever constructed...
Wow..Best cartoon song ever. I could watch this intro over and over again, though the show wasn't my fave during those years (there were so many great shows! ). Today cartoons will never be as amazing as those were. We were lucky =P
@Dqueen11 My friend, you're absolutely right! You can tell real imagination, love and effort went into making these shows. We truly were the lucky generation in that respect.
I love RARE shows like this. I wish The Hub, or CN would get blocks of these to air on weekend Mornings. Imagine the ratings they could get. All of us retro fans now have kids, nephews, etc.. We would watch, then get the kids in our family to watch. Networks would make money on shows they don't pay to produce now. I wish Discovery was open minded enough to make it's HUB network more available to basic channel line ups for those that don't want to buy or who can't afford higher tiered packages.
I actually have a NON-bootleg dvd of the 1st 4 or 5 cartoons of this series! The 80's had the absolute BEST and most innovative cartoons ever! There will never be another decade with incredible cartoons like the 80's..NEVER!! Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was just one of my many favs!
These were the kinds of shows that got kids to really wonder. To really imagine, create. I suspect this is why today there's such an abundance of weird, creative video games and movies and such.. it's all the end result of a childhood of great content like this!
I remember watching this every chance I got when I was little. The song got you fired up, you -wanted- to watch just to keep the energy of that opening going. Oh how I miss the days when tv was -original- and -entertaining-!
@MonolithTyriss Ur right! Tho' many said many 80's cartoons were "over stimulating," they truly did help to birth that imaginative, creative side of a "developing" child, needed later in life, to propel them to a damn good money paying job perhaps! When watching these cartoons as a kid, that kid then startsd to wonder, "hmm, what can I make or create!"
just sat here with my sons showing them what proppa cartoons sounded like...........takes me back to being that boy that buzzed his tits off to this tune.!!!!banging.
@Bashmuz78 Ur an EXCELLENT parent! I was watching something on tv a couple years back, where a bunch of grown up 80's kids, were having a massive viewing of Voltron. They all had their kids with them, to show them what really fun cartoons were like, and those kids were way into it!! It was agreat bonding experinece for the adults and their kids, and other family and friends as well!!
I loved it then, I love it now, This is the best intro ever, the best cartoon ever, and might actually be my favourite song of all time. Stick That up your CBBC.
One of my favourite animations during Fun Factory. The only cartoons for the current generation of children which are worth watching are episodes of Avatar, other than that it's all rubbish. Whenever my children watch tv, I'm amazed that most of what is shown nowadays is terrible. Even sadder is that most children actually enjoy it all nevertheless.
If there were an Oscar to cartoon original soundtrack, "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" could let the winning speech ready! All time best opening song.
I use to be glued to the tv watching wheel warriors, i wanted one of those wheels cars they were dam cool, mostly i like centurions cartoons, boy those suites they worn were way cool, turning in to boats and cars, motorbikes, flying aircraft's, boy i wanted one of those suites in the 80s, erm wonder if any one invented those suites - now its 2010 - 30 years on . time flys.

One of the best no-manga series I've seen in my whole life. I remember watching all their episodse, even one of the made me have nightmares, but I dìdn't care, they're awesome!!!
'There's a power that comes from deep inside of you, cause every day you're reaching for the light, and you know there's a long long way ahead of you, but when your wheels get you there,
I agree Venigmatic 23 they had lessons to learn in everyday life. This is the reason why our generation of the 80's turned out to be responsible men and women.
This music is SICK. Growing up in the 80's with every cartoon and videogame having an arena rock/electronic soundtrack...and then also my parents having MTV on in my house 24/7...made me into a huge pop/rock fan later in my life.
90% of my favorite music has cheesy keyboards, reverb-heavy synthetic drums, and melodic, harmony choruses.
I recommend everyone check out stuff by Rush, Asia, Saga, GTR, It Bites...awesome bands that sounded great in the 80s, similiar to the Jayce theme, really.
music today shud be like it was back then (and i was born in 92 ffs lol)
the industry needs a lethal injection of big hair, electric guitar riffs, a rumbling bass riff and a drummer with a kit thats THREE TIMES HIS SIZE and he don't have the first clue how to play
This intro ranks in my top 10 including Star Blazers, M.A.S.K ., The Transformers. I just couldnt for the life of me remember what the show was called until now. THANKS.
I would've loved to see a Wheeled Warriors/MASK crossover. That would've been badass since they both came out around the same time & they were both done by DIC.

"Oh noes. The toys aren´t popular anymore. Let´s cancel this show then."
They put the effort in. In 20 years todays kids won't be able to say to there mates remember this theme tune etc as today cartoons have such sort intros.
This guy made themes like M.A.S.K., Inspector Gadget, Spider-man and Xmen, Rainbow Brite! Popples. He-man! Dennis the Menace. The guy has so much variety in his themes. So many classics. Just go to his website and look at the musical compilations!
i feel so proud to be a kid in the 80s. the best imaginations and creations to the music intros. Awesome stuff! Shuki Levy is one of the best composers period.
This serie was an franco american serie. The end of the series was written but not produced because the series wasn't enough popular in the US. I know a part of the end but i don't want to spoil for the others.
This tune was buried in my memories for a long time: Thank you for posting "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" original poster!
As a matter of fact: I didn't remember anything about the plot or the characters but the catchy opening...and that's because of the audio tape recordings I used to make when I was a kid!
The Latin american version had this same song but with the vocals in spanish...
It was on 33 UHF channel back to the 80's....if memory doesn't fail me....
i remember back in the early 90s mattel use to make these car toys that reminded me of this shit...they were called attracks tacks or some shit like that...anybody know what im talkn bout?
check my channel for a little remake i did! thank you ^^

Coincedence? Oh I think not. Jayce and his crew kidnapped her from Earth to work on their vehicles!
Or did she fall to earth after a battle and use her knowledge of the futuristic cars to build the mega-cars of Pole Position?
The world may never know.

This guy made themes like M.A.S.K., Inspector Gadget, Spider-man and Xmen, Rainbow Brite! Popples. He-man! Dennis the Menace. The guy has so much variety in his themes. So many classics. Just go to his website and look at the musical compilations!
Shuki Levy, you are the man.

This serie was an franco american serie. The end of the series was written but not produced because the series wasn't enough popular in the US. I know a part of the end but i don't want to spoil for the others.

very underrated cartoon show! Not even in IGN's 100 best and they showcased some really quirky un-heard of shows.
Jayce is a name known to a select few!
