yeah if they are or even just roger then ill be taking a week off work to camp out in line and get my tickets...i had a look for some kind of member thing, like other rock bands have where if you are one, you get like 1st priority on ticket sales...if there is something like that ill sign up asap. . . just the whos web site had nothing like it. .
it's kinda sad how many negative & uncalled for comments i read lately on the looks of our aging rock & rollers..hey it's life & we all go thru it, no need to disparage our hero's of the past who are still trying to keep the music going..i read a very nasty remark about Steve Howe (guitarist of YES) & OTHERS and now mocking my fav band the who..well it just kinda sucks that people feel they must do this & think it makes them look better, cause it doesn't..
maybe the fans should look in the mirror once in a while. they're fucking old too! I'm not that 16 year old kid anymore jamming out to Live at Leeds. Now i'm a 39 year old kid jamming out to Live at Leeds! Because i can! The only alternative is to listen to new "music". That's not gonna happen now is it?
Hey, I'm a huge Who fan and I'm not 20 yet! Sure The Who and their fans are getting on a bit, but it's not exactly fair to make fun of them for it. We'll all get old eventually, no reason to mock people for it.
i was 10 when i got into the Who. Now i'm almost 40. I'm taking myself down a bit as well. I'll always love these guys but it kills the integrity of their classic work.. Pete can still write and Roger can sing anybody's material when handed to him. They should keep it at that these days. Every 65+ rocker should. Only Jazz and Blues artists can do it til they die. It's not a young man's game to begin with. See my point? ANd young groups today just plain suck!
