@linkaqt1 Have enough lumber, (or pay more for Gannon's,) and have him build the barn and the chicken coop. The next day, Mirabella will give you a calf or a chick, (calf for the barn, chick for the coop,) but she will not give you free food. You'll have to buy that from her store.
Just got this gae a week or two ago. You basically just push the horse out of the stable from behind. Like in the previous Harvest Moon games. I have both, Sunshine Islands and Island of Happiness, and I would say that I prefer playing Sunshine Islands because of new features, but Island of Happiness is still great! The special sheep and cows are easier to get than the chickens, because you can brush and milk/sheer your livestock adding lots of hearts but only pick up the chickens. Have Fun!
<_< Kind of unrelated, but can anyone tell me how to let my horse out of his stable? o___o I always just let my dog out by carrying him outside. But I can't with my horse, and I think he's gonna start hating me soon. T_T;; Anyway, any help would great. It's impossible to find Sunshine Islands stuff on the internet.

I would say it's rly similiar to MM. I play MM on my gamecub, and this char just reminded it to me. This game is really awesome, defiently best HM for DS. Thx for the comment :)
