I'll agree about the unique job point, but selling your house and/or renting it out is possible even in this bad economy. I own a home in Mesa and rent one in Tempe. I bought the house in Tempe, now I rent it out. That's one payment I don't have to worry about. I can rent the one here in Mesa also, but I choose to stay a while longer. If and when I want to move to another city, yes, this fukd economy has made it harder for jobs, but the owning a home part I do not find as a set back.
