its awesome. you have a 32" at your table to see awesome merchandise from almost any band, and you get to vote for the next song to play in the cafe. its sweet
Steve Mason from Obscura Digital gave a presentation at FITC 2009 about how they use Scaleform's hardware accelerated Flash technology, Scaleform GFx, and powerful NVidia GPUs to power the wall.
Yeah, Steve heads up our UI/UX group here. He is responsible for designing most of the user interaction and how it actually functions when someone touches it. its not that easy designing interaction for multi-users, especially in public places. Lots of focus groups and design reviews went into the usability of the wall. We do a ton of work with the Quadroplex systems, its the only way to really pump out that much resolution these days.
it looks like it should be used in a kids museum. I don't go to Hard Rock cafe to dribble over a screen full of memorabillia. I go to dribble over my food looking around at it.
i was talking about the software in a kid's museum. And no, not impressed by that at all. Same as your parents not being impressed by your lack of an elementary school graduation certificate. Troll somewhere else, troll.
yea you're right haha. i read the article on gizmodo fast. Hardrock has a bunch of microsoft surfaces stuff in their tables and booths.. and this large wall is made by obscura
