Maybe it's because she's mellowed a bit (a lot) due to age, but Barbra is now very appreciative of younger stars who carry the torch. She's not jealous/threatened at all; she's very secure of her status as "Legendary Diva". In fact, she's a huge fan of "Glee", and follows pretty much the entire cast on Twitter.
For the record Barbra did like her singing she looked that way because she couldn't really see cause she didn't have her glasse.. Idina even talked about it

I feel so bad for Idina! This is an incredible performance! And Babs looked pissed through the whole thing, and she looked at Idina like she was pathetic as Idina was telling Streisand how much she admired her! Idina Menzel.... I'm speechless, what an amazing performance! She has such a beautiful, strong voice! Though Barbra streisand didn't seem all that impressed, she did manage to blow a kiss to Idina at the end of the song.
Don't get me wrong, Barbara Streisand is absolutely hands down, a godess... BUT, she has no humility AT ALL! She comes off very blasè. When Idina said Ms. Streisand I'm your biggest fan, Barbara had a look of, "yes I know. everybody is my biggest fan." Either that or she had botox shot in her face and she can't emote. Yes, Idina did (badly) miss the high note in the 2nd part of the song "I'll BEAT my drum". The note she could not hit was a the start of "Beat". It very noticeable if you know the song. I'm certain BS heard it. Other than that, as I said, gr8 vocal performance. Awful tough to be asked to sing this in front of BS. Idiana has got some balls, and she pulled it off pretty damn well.

I doubt very much BS was pleased to c Idina singing here. The look on her face speaks volumes. Idina did a gr8 job, but her voice is simply not naturally as high as BS. However, Idina's voice is warmer & less nasal than BS. Kudos to Idina 4 this. She held her own in front of BS, that is something 2 really be proud of.
