Can't post URLs in video comments, so look for my message in your inbox. Appears to be a heavy Kito-ryu and judo influence, and as you can see from this video, Yoshinkan aikido.
Garrett Sensei has also spent some time learning from western Hakkoryu shihan who also taught my teacher.
I remember these moves taught in class at Zanshin Dojo by Keopke Sensei and Adams Sensei if you notice they can shorten up advance move so much it looks simple. The movement is small with little effort (to store energy) but are totally devastating. Appreciate the Bujitsu.
Thank you for the clip (in specific) and your continuing mission (in general) to spread the way that is Minami Ryu jujistu. My time with Sensei Garrett was far to short, but the lessons that Iearned with both of you at the Metairie dojo and at UNO continue to teach me.
04/13/09 -- NOTE TO PAST AND PROSPECTIVE MINAMI RYU PRACTITIONERS. As of February 2009, classes are still periodically being held at the Rummel High School Wrestling building in Metairie, LA.
I used to train with sensei Garrett and am glad to see he is still around. I live in Savannah now, but would love to go back to the new dojo when it opens
It's very good to see sensei Garrett and Brian Dugger again! I had the good fortune to train with both of them (and watched Brian's shodan belt test) from about 1997-2000.
Just tonight I passed by the old dojo in Metairie, which has now been rebuilt into what looks like a set of offices. I'd love to know where the new dojo will be located, so that I might stop by and say hello.
I have had the pleasure to train with both Sensei Adams and Sensei Koepke and hope they add more videos soon. It brought back fond memories of hitting the mat VERY HARD. Good Stuff!
Thanks for your comment. Koepke Sensei moved to North Carolina a couple years ago, and now teaches at Gendai Martial Arts in Raleigh. The rest of us continue hitting the mat -- LOL, as you say, very hard -- in Pasadena, CA.
I'm truly impressed great effective techniques.

Hi violalord1 --- Four different jujutsu systems are represented in this video. Are you asking about Minami Ryu in particular, or all four?

Tully -- You got it. See "Die a Thousand Deaths #1". It introduces Zanshin Goshin Dojo's utilization of Redman gear in reality-based scenarios.
