  • wow !! I never knew who did this , just found it on a Jazz Funk mix.... only took nearly 30 years to find out !!!!

  • Can get the lyrics. Any help? Thx a lot.

  • this. is. incredible. the fact that its 7 minutes long makes it even more epic. 7:23 OF JAMMMMM

  • Talán a legnagyobb Gábortól!

  • I haven't known what is smooth jazz up to now... also I'm Hungarian and I haven't known that Gabor Szabo ever existed... what a shame that he is absolutely unknown in his homeland, and I am happy that I have discovered him

  • such a humble man with the communication flying from each string

    miss you Gabor

  • I also like Bunny Sigler's verison of Keep Smilin'

  • used to play this at the King Alfred Disco (Oulton Broad) in '76 - still have the original 7" - great track

  • good stuff

  • MARVELOUS TRAX..YES I WILL KEEP SMILING! Thanks for the awesome share! Port

  • how about "if you don't want my love"? pls. thanks!

  • timeless

  • This is just a nice song. Love this Jazz version! But, check out R and B version by Bunny Siegler!

  • @vvsplace Siegler produced this album for Gabor.

  • Reminds me of the King Alfred Disco Oulton Broad in 1976

  • The smoothest of Jazzfunk, just makes you want to smile :-)

  • Just blaze used this sample for everythings a go from the made album

  • I love this song, but no one has posted the Bunny Sigler version.

  • Świetna muza.

  • to understate it .....a major influence on santana

  • Cool

  • baia sound,

  • Great!

    I love this music!

  • I like both the original Bunny Sigler version and this one.

  • Bunny Sigler had a solo career stretching back to the days of the old Cameo/Parkway labels and including releases on Gamble and Neptune - so his association with Gamble & Huff went right back to the early 60s. "Keep Smilin" is itself a take on William DeVaughn's hit "Be Thankful For What You Got". I personally think Bunny's best PIR recording was "Somebody Loves You", the album version being longer.

"Keep Smilin" by Gabor Szabo track is regarded as a Jazz-Funk classic, and got a UK 12" release.

  • got this on 45 with baby rattle snake on the flip side sounds GREATT.

  • hermosa beach ca saw him at the lighthouse, bought night flight, wore it out. been 30 years. still sounds great.

  • The Lighthouse...wow...I saw John Klemmer there when "Touch" was his big hit around the same time. Wish I could have seen Gabor...can only imagine how great it was!!!

  • Walter Bunny Sigler was the leader and mentor of instant funk (first record was on TOSP label) "Get down with the philly jump"1976.Keep smiling was write from Bunny Sigler (words) and music Alan Felder ( he work with trammps ,double explosure ecc) .

  • this is a cover of bunny sigler (include in his album 1974 philadelphia international ) the gabor szabo version is produced by bunny sigler and arranged by richie rome with mfsb. this is a really a must ..also it was a huge anthem @ baia degli angeli & cosmic . i love it

  • Specifically, it was Instant Funk who played on this cut. They were the guys who played on every Bunny Sigler produced record from '74 or so onward. They were the alternate MFSB when Sigler was handling production chores at PIR. I don't know who is singing, though. I don't have the album in front of me. This track, Rattlesnake and Smooth Sailin are my favourites from this LP.

  • the most exciting and trippin guitar of the 70´s - nothing to compare with !!!

  • the 70s were sooo fucking chill. Very nice.

  • I do. PM for details.

  • KOOL SMOOTHLY FUNKY

  • Very known in Detroit in 70'S ON WJZZ 105.9

HELL-O Ms.Hines (DJ) WHERE ARE YOU NOW?

  • Oh god!

I have High Contrast and More Sorcery on LP, but this is great!

Mayhap the best song I've heard from him.

    Thanx for the vid!

  • where can I buy this album?

  • Superb!

    This needs to get re-issued.

  • 1976 and still sounds fresh :)
