theres no such thing as SEAL Team 6... thats just a name to give the media who is an enemy to the special forces...everything you hear about these people is wrong. everything including their legit name is classified. they are not supposed to be known, therefore they should not exist. they are the mythological people along with Delta and the 24th special tactic squadron. Seal Team 6 was dissolved many many years ago like in the 80s. thats their number but not their name anymore...

@SuperSoldier4Freedom Delta had boots on the ground a week after 9/11 with British SBS operators and the mujahideen they had UBL in the mountains of Tora Bora Afghanistan that's where he thought he could hold them off because he did it with the Russians but pushed him back with airstrikes and small assault teams cleaned up what was left of Al-qaeda cave to cave. They had him cornered but escaped into Pakistan.

@SuperSoldier4Freedom A naval commander was the leader of JSOC. Naval Commander = DEVGRU, Army General = Delta. Whenever an Army General is in charge Delta gets sent out. It's that simple.

I really want some good answers on this. I'm a smart kid in school. Grades either A's and B's. I find the life i live boring sometimes with the tedious pattern. I've been thinking of training to become a Navy SEAL but i have a fear of jumping out of an airplane. As the kid I am now, i cliff jump and hate the rush i get from it but love it when i'm past my limit. If i train now will i make it? My bmi is 23, im 12 and i freeweight 20lbs. Also will they pound fear of skydiving out of me?

Army Rangers / Green Berets / MARSOC / Navy SEALs are actually are all on par with each other. Army Rangers and MARSOC are masters of unconventional warfare, Green Berets are force multipliers and local police trainers and SEALs are Maritime legends. Delta and ST6(DEVGRU) Are the nations TOP counter-terrorism units. Get it right guys, you make your self look like idiots.

@TheSouthSides The army green berets are not masters of unconventional warfare. I think Black Hawk Down portrayed the Rangers great. That shows what the Rangers do. SF are force multipliers. They go to the local police force and the guerilla fighters and commandos, they train them and they fight with them.

Yes the Rangers are a quick reaction group, they can get 5,000 Rangers in Fallujah in a matter of 8 hours.

People are so damn stupid when they argue or compare tier 3 units with other tier 3 units, rather than identify the differences between them and appreciate each one for what it does. @codyfutureSEAl6 I already know the SEALs are more dominate to the Marines. The SEALs are a quick reaction force while the Marines hold a country. SEALs go for the high ranking guys in the Taliban, Marines shoot the taliban infantry(Most of the time this is how it goes) But I know NOTHING is even close to JSOC. The SAS/SBS isn't even close to it. But good luck.

Delta force is the most elite special forces in the U.S. military look it up there selection is harder than seal team 6 and they were formed before seal team 6 but dont get me wrong seal team 6 is badass

Devgru is the advanced team version of SEALs. they are both under the same jurisdiction of the joint task force along with the air forces 24th tactic air squadron, which is more classified than both Devgru and Delta. Devgru is what idiots like to call SEAL team 6. SEAL team six does not exist there is no known name for that team because of it being classified, however they used to be called that along with devgru. but not anymore.

@ritmotraveler Are you kidding? Green Berets have the same physical and technical capabilities as the Navy Seals but Green Berets have more specialized training in language and other MOSs. Seal go through army sniper school, army medical school, and army sere school. they are easily comparable.
