  • It is rainin' like crazy here in Laurel County Kentucky and now it is hailin'. Now there is a Tornado warnin' out for Laurel County cause there is alot of rotation in the sky. Well, Gotta go for shelter.

  • This reminds me of the credits roll for twister. Excellent stuff.

  • This person's website is the best. Love those photos.

  • I agree 100% I'm out there for the "ominous beauty " of the storm as a whole, if we see a tornado, excellent! ( of course, if we see anything dangerous the SKYWARN aspect kicks in.)

    Great video!

  • Very nice compilation!

  • Wonder if that beautiful cloud is from Mother Earth or HAARP??

  • i wouldnt mind livig in a place where the sky looked like that all the time

  • Fantastic and beautiful storm clouds ! My ultimate dream is to becom a storm chaser !

  • LP supcell time lapses are just amazing! :)

  • Wow those are some sharp images ;)

  • id like to do that someday seems awsome :)

  • Impressive timelapses in this video. Great shots too.

  • its beautiful :)

  • real nice video

  • 1:17 What's the name of the cloud formation? I know that it fortells of hail being possible but no clue on the name. btw great vid!

  • I think their called mamatus clouds but im not sure.

  • The name of the clouds at 1:17 is "Mammatus".. Its my favorite cloud formation! So beautiful!

  • BlackThunder885,

That formation is called the "Mammatus", a very distinctive cloud and also most admired by everyone - often makes the most popular shots in weather photography.

They do indeed signal a good chance for hail as the Mammatus is indicative of the storm's strongest phase. However, this isn't always the case since hail formations have to do with the actual strength of the updraft and the amount of precipitable water that exists in the storm. Windshear is also ideal.

  • relaxing, good captures, i wanna to this.

  • Fantastic captures - were the storms in the UK or USA? Doesn't matter - beautifully terrifying to a StormFraider like me - weather fascinates, but scares me (especially when approaching or overhead). And that last shot - of the lightning - WOW Adding to favorites, thank you -

    *StormSpinner* in Texas

  • nice rotation!

  • WOW!!!!!

  • omg i just love this video i love watching tornado form and deform, it is just so cool i hope i can do this at least once in my life ,one of the funnel clouds that i saw in the video looks like one that i saw here in midland ontario canada , we had a freak storm the sky was green after witch meant that there could of been a tornado i am glad that there wasnt on thow... thx for the video !!!:):):):D

  • Wow!! I hope I can have the opportunity to do this one day in my life!!

  • Damn awesome video!

I found it quite relaxing and peaceful, thanks for sharing.

  • i've seen a huge lightning strike in ottawa on last summer where when the torndaoes were being called

  • did anyone else laugh at the 2 cows fighting at 4:33 with the lightning in tthe background?

  • the one at 2:57 looks like a picture I got once.

  • Absolutely superb. Thanks for sharing your experiences and your excellent photography.

  • très belle video ! music en harmonie avec les images ! great job !

    hello of france.....

  • belle video

  • skies really look beautiful even when cloudy like that... i just love the colors together..

  • Great video. Great music. Nice job.

  • good music coice as well...

  • Very good video. I especially like the time lapse so you can see how the clouds move and form tornados!

  • Which one is from Virginia and where in VA?

  • The double roll cloud (with the four lane hwy and shopping center) is from Virginia just west of Richmond.

  • at 2:25 it looks kind of like halo

  • omg! thats wat i was thinking...it does look like it...

  • At 1:50 how wide was that tornado?

  • It's rainfall and hail togather not tornado but looks insane aswell!

  • Yes! This is very much so true, the chaser who goes out with only catching a tornado as a success on his mind will experience a very disappointing season. A good, photogenic supercell is all I need to have a great chase and I've even had some good blue sky busts that were worth the trip.

  • 2:27 The ark! jk.

    Very nice. 5/5

  • Excelente video amigo!

  • awsome, video is incredible where did you get the music from?

  • Very nice rollcloud at 2:20

    Nice video.

  • That is amazing. 5 stars for sure.

  • These are just a few reasons why I've been storm chasing for 30 years and I'll continue to do it until I die!!

  • @captainmorgan757 That's going to be my plan! Chase until I die.!

  • wt's the name of the song?

  • Wooow!!!It's amazing!!! :)))

  • wow. this is what storm chasing is REALLY about, it's not all tornadoes, folks. Excellent collection, love the backlit mammatus clouds near the beginning. Wish i coulda been there.

  • awesome

  • breathtaking.

    thank you.

  • AMAZING I CANT EXPLAIN IT.....5 STARS

  • minkia

  • I experience much of the same during a chase with NCAR meteorologists as the videographer/storm chaser has documented here. It brings back excitement, fascination and the joy we experienced. We weren't disappointed that a tornado didn't cross our path, though the sale of good tornado footage would pay for the gas. This is the reality of storm chasing in its truest form. Chase on, my friends! I'm subscribing!

  • Nature is most beautifull object, what we can see every day diferent. . .

  • Cool

  • amazing!!! great video great soundtrack

  • i like the video but whare did you find the music for video

  • i lyked the end with the thunder and cows

really captures the intensity of storms

  • This is a supercell-^

  • what is a supercell?

  • I believe it is an extreemly strong thunderstorm that spins, and can,but dosen't always produce a thunderstorm.

  • i think you mean produce a tornado ^_^

  • I meant doosen't always produce a tornado LOL

  • @ShieKra38 Correction tornado.

  • that was awesome!

  • i hope you speak spanish... gracias, tu video es lo que busque por muchos años, muy buen trabajo ok...

2:25 i never saw a circle cloud like that

  • absolutly astonishing

  • What a great shots.

    Outstanding video.

  • yeah! I agree...there's so much more to storm chasing than tornadoes. Tornadoes are just the 'icing on the cake'! haha! beautifully done video!

  • Thank-you so much for sharing!! I totally agree-- there is more to chasing than just tornadoes... BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes, you are right

  • Sweet :D

  • Outstanding!

  • Totally cool!!!!!!

  • Nature's beauty displayed in lovely detail; thank you for sharing, adding to favorites. Thank you!

  • Nature is full of wonder. Even Issac Newton said before he died," I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shall than ordniary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me." Time and Scientists will cave more truth out from our nature.

  • j'adore c'est monstres de puissance melant beautée et caractère, super vidéo et super métier, amazing job

  • Awesome video!

  • Stunnig, amazing...............for the first time i saw such a breathtaking video. well done.

  • Ayoye super beau!!

  • Omg This is sooo awesome! i wish i could go and join you guys, omg that last part with the lightning really freaked the cows up and the birds lol.

  • very nice video!! thank you for posting it here

  • I can sense a storm coming. even if i'm in a basement of an office building i still know, i think it's the emp shock wave from the storm.

  • wow, beautiful. question for anyone here, i'm sure i'm not alone.. but does anyone else get that gut feeling of sheer energy as a storm approaches? i know i do, it's so intense, it's like i can feel the pulse of the storm within me.

  • the clouds look so awsome at 1:26

  • nice,i also agree with the fact there is more to chasing than just tornadoes.exesally were i live.if all i did was tornadoes then i wouldnt have much chases.this is a great vid

  • When you speed it up like that you can really see the rotation.

  • Top looks like heaven down hell!!

  • i SEE THE SUN!!!

  • hey!pause the vid at 4:18...there are what looks like faces on the front of the clouds..i think they are rotating.theres 4

  • good spotting u must ave watched it ova and ova

  • wow.. looks nice

  • funny enough is that they look like cartman, stan, kyle, and kenny, go figure

  • Glorious.

Now I really want some severe weather to come through:-)

  • Had to watch it again!!! Eyepopping and spectacular. I especially liked the roll clouds rolling. Doing the time lapse makes it easier to see what's actually happening. Otherwise storms seem to move rather slowly.

  • amazing they way some of those clouds shapes are, i've only seen clouds spinning and twisting like that a couple of times, bubblin95 it was probably hail, when clouds touching the ground that thick, or it was very heavy rain, nice video

  • I love weather! And I loved the video. The music was different, but it went with the footage so well.^^

  • Beautiful and magestic!! Thank you so much for sharing it!

  • omg at the last with the thunder BEAUTYFEL

  • image 1:33 is were either rain or hail is coming down dur

  • why do people always use quarters to refrence the size of hail lol every storm movie ive ever seen does that ?

  • 1: Because it's usually the first thing a person has in their pockets, (2) It's 7/8 inch in diameter, (3) To annoy you.

  • wtf was up with that cloud at 1:33 still trying to figure it out

  • Excellent; yougot it all! Vaults, RFD, mesocyclones, shelf clouds, all the things that make these storms so majestic. Great work!

  • nice video i like da song

  • nice video. i wouldn't want to be a cow stuck on that prairie with no where else to go...

  • Totally enjoyed this video montage. Nice music. Even the sped-up footage was superb. Loved it!

  • sweet stuff.

  • If it would be possible to marry the weather, I would. :D

  • in 05 or 04 i cant remember but i live in michigan. the sky turned green that day. 1 tornado tuched down in new boston. very freaky tho

  • i remember that day, it was in 04 , i was visiting come family and we were driving on the highway and we say the funnel
