A 17 jewel watch could be acepted on rail ways,but not all were they needed to be lever set as well.Look at the nawcc site to learn more.
Not all pocket watches are rail way watches.

How good does it keep time? It has a fine adjustment, so I think, it must be very accurate, but I am interested in facts and figures lol. Is it about one second per day or 10 seconds per day?

In the day,that American Railroad pocket watches were produced,they needed to keep time within 30 seconds a week !Which was very accurate!!! Stu.
