Anybody can learn the definition of conservatism. What's difficult is making it's principles applicable to current issues. Furthermore, while this boy articulates his firm belief in the ideology of conservatism, he fails to recognize the true happenings in this world. I doubt that he can apply conservative ideals to the real world, and what being a U.S. citizen is. As a child, he doesn't deal with war or taxes...or monotonous labor.

that people should not rely on government handouts such as food stamps, universal health care, unemployment benefits basically meaning people should fend for themselves. Again this principle ideally would be great if people could actually afford to live without these handouts. In some situations people don't have the ability to live on their own and need government assistance.
